  1. I mentioned several times I believed it was a hardware failure and I explained that what you just mentioned doesn't prove it isn't a hardware issue for example ("The lights should cycle when doing the reset, that's why it sounds more like hardware as the point of the hardware reset button is to bypass the software to perform a reset."), you don't agree with my assessment and that is fine but it doesn't mean I can make it a different issue that is able to be fixed. The dev I was waiting for wanted a second opinion which I chased today for you, they didn't find anything in the logs to suggest there was anything wrong with the software based on what is logged there and so given the issues you're having they could only concur that it is likely hardware.
  2. You'd put the R3 in the DMZ on the other router - that would eliminate the double NAT You'd have all devices connect to the R3 which would improve the connection You only need the 1 port to be used to connect the R3 to it I've given you Early Access for you to try before doing that option to see if it gets better https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/
  3. Are you able to have another router handle PPPoE instead of the R3 and see if that resolves it?
  4. Do you need/is the R3 handling PPPoE? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Where are you testing the speeds? Presumably you're testing over ethernet?
  5. Looks like your public IP might be changing but you shouldn't need to reboot to restore it, how long have you waited before rebooting? Reboot the router just before you go to sleep tonight and see if 2 mornings from now you wake up without internet
  6. There are a couple of scenarios here: You've not factory reset the router correctly which is why the credentials are showing that they're incorrect - it's the button that you'll need a thin object like a pin to press, hold for 30 seconds, release, wait 4 minutes then attempt access via the mobile app only. The WiFi turning off when you try to access via a web browser indicates either the power it's getting isn't enough - try direct to an outlet if using an extender or try with another adapter if possible. Otherwise you may need to upgrade/downgrade the firmware but you'll need to do #1 for that. The unit is faulty and you should return it to the person you purchased from
  7. You're using it with 1 device only? Exitlag may improve the routing to the game servers if your routing is less than optimal. That's a fairly high ping, where abouts are you located?
  8. If that's with just the one device on the network then it's peak time congestion, nothing to be done on your side. What ping do you get to the game on average?
  9. This blog may help: https://netduma.com/blog/how-to-fix-bufferbloat so our current implementation, Congestion Control & SmartBOOST is literally a form of SQM. The ACC referenced there is what I mentioned we're also working on that goes beyond this. As before, the fact you have a whole connection I assume purely dedicated to gaming even further reduces your need for QoS/SQM as that's only working on your side of the router to reduce bufferbloat/lag etc but with literally an entire connection just for gaming it really isn't needed. So if that is correct then the R3 would be the one to get with the idea that ACC will be more useful for you in the future.
  10. That's correct. No you don't need to do that as you already have the option to add it as a priority with the Games Console option.
  11. It is available: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/60122-new-xr1000-beta-firmware-dumaos-33688-upgrading-fix/ You're already in the group
  12. SQM isn't really new per se and is already what we offer with our QoS solution which will only get better with the next update we're working on. It really depends on how you're going to integrate your gaming router into your setup. If for example your setup will be: Main Router (All Devices Connected) > Gaming Router (Just Gaming Device Connected) then QoS/SQM is irrelevant because the router won't be able to control the entire network. It would only be able to control the gaming device which from the gaming router perspective isn't competiting with any other device. However, it's actually competing with every other device connected upstream to the main router. If you really wanted to do it this way then the main benefit you would get would be from using the Geo-Filter on the R3, something no other gaming router has. If for example your setup will be: Main Router > Gaming Router (All Devices Connected Including Gaming Device) or some variant of that then QoS/SQM is a lot more relevant as it can control most if not all (it really should control everything for max effect) of the devices on the network. In which case I'd still suggest the R3 for our current QoS implementation but then even more so for the next iteration of QoS that we have planned.
  13. Most likely due to PPPoE, we do have a report from 1 other person regarding that so it is already being looked into. Thanks for the update and confirmation.
  14. Just choose Games Console there and you're good to go!
  15. Try completing through the DumaOS mobile app instead please and see if you can complete the wizard/load correctly
  16. Good to hear, thanks for the update!
  17. Download this firmware: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/51612-new-xr700-beta-firmware-33363 Then upgrade to it from 192.168.1.1/adv_index.htm and see if it works better after that
  18. Close the tab, reboot the router, wait 4 minutes then attempt access. Once you have access, on the System Information page go to the Rapp panel, click change the retries to 5, reboot the router from the interface, close the tab, wait 4 minutes then see if it's more stable
  19. Exactly that - when you've done it and access the interface are you greeted with the Setup Wizard? If yes you've done it correctly, if not then you've just rebooted it, in which case is it definitely the button where you put a thin tool like a pin in to hold the button? That's the button you need to use.
  20. Alternatively factory reset using the button in the back of the router as above
  21. It's primarily a server based game now as far as I am aware so I don't think that would be possible. However, if you want to try it then you can try to add every server you connect to to the deny list and maybe you'll get more P2P games but its unlikely.
  22. If they were deleted at some point and now connect via a different method or are named differently or have a different device type that will be why, they'd have to have the exact same information as before the delete/issue. Settings > Administration > Backup Settings > Erase then close the tab, wait 4 minutes then access
  23. The router model the R3 is connected to. Okay so the R3 is handling PPPoE? What do you mean it moves back to lower prioritization? Can you provide a video of what is happening?
  24. It's likely a device from the Device Manager has been deleted that was added to Traffic Prioritization on the QoS page. You have two options to remove the error and restore functionality: Factory reset Reconnect the device to the router via the same method (ethernet or WiFi), give it the same name as you had previously in the Device Manager as well as give it the same device type in the Device Manager
