  1. Ping Optimizer just reduces the Congestion Control percentages and uses a different speed test server than you're using to test against so it's not doing anything special that you're not already doing, it's just a case of finding what works specifically for you. If you're prioritized the entire PC then the speedtest results you're getting are also going to be influenced by that, disable that then try testing. Follow this guide https://support.netduma.com/frequently-asked-questions/legacyfaqs/test-your-ping/ while downloading & start with 95% for Congestion Control (set to Always), check results, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good & then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value & you may have a better experience with differing values.
  2. No worries, reply whenever you're able to. Use 192.168.1.1 to login instead. I'll need the log from the System Information page when you then have access. As you've now disabled bridge mode you can also disable PPPoE on the XR. Reboot the Huawei, wait 2 minutes, reboot the XR from the interface, wait 4 minutes then check if you have internet.
  3. You can change the server manually on speedtest.net, change it to a close server when it switches to miami, do you still get a low ping? No you don't need to do that, there won't be a game server there so it won't achieve anything. It is possible that the ISP is using alternative routing during peak times to help with load. If that is the case there is nothing you can do other than what I mentioned previously - don't play during peak hours or switch to a less used ISP
  4. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the R3? Have you entered those speeds you mentioned into the router? How have you setup SmartBOOST? What game are you playing? What platform are you playing on and how is it connected, via ethernet or WiFi? Where are you testing the bufferbloat exactly?
  5. It doesn't sound like ping is the issue but that speedtest is selecting the wrong server for some reason, on ethernet if you switch it to the server WiFi uses do you get the same lower ping?
  6. Ah yes my mistake, glad its working now!
  7. Make sure you're launching the game client/game after you've set the Geo-Filter up If you change Geo-Filter settings while on the game then restart the game before searching again Ensure strict mode is enabled Ensure Ping Assist is disabled If you do all that it should filter correctly
  8. Your phone may be appearing as a different device when connecting to 5GHz, for example, I just connected my phone to 2.4GHz and it has a completely different MAC address (which is a unique device identifier) and so the router may be interpreting it as a completely new device. So check on the Device Manager when you switch WiFi to see if it or another device seemingly appears, re-name it as needed and then check on Adblocker that it will be blocking for that specific device.
  9. You'll need to do it a few times, just do it while you're trying to use Discord, not when you're on the game so no game servers will appear
  10. I've responded to this same comment here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56638-new-r2-firmware-dumaos-40258/page/20/#findComment-446606
  11. I'll add it to the list, thanks for the suggestions!
  12. Thanks for letting us know! Glad it's all working now
  13. We don't give out any ETAs for firmware versions so I couldn't say. It's a beta so you may encounter issues but I wouldn't say there is anything super significant you'd face. That's not a common issue and very likely something personal to you, you'd have to open a new topic for us to troubleshoot with you to determine the cause. It could be fixed by the new firmware but I don't know what the cause is yet. I've given you access anyway so you can decide if you want to use it: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/
  14. Yep that's due to what I mentioned above so you'll either have to keep it enabled and re-search or disable and quit if it's not the one you want.
  15. We never talk about new hardware until it's announced but to give you an idea - the R1 was launched in 2014, the R2 in 2020, the R3 in 2023. We do 20% off randomly for a new game release perhaps or for a summer sale etc. We might do more off for Black Friday for example.
  16. Check the map when that happens, there should be a blocked icon, click it and then allow it. You may need to do it a few times for their multiple servers and then it will work with the Geo-Filter enabled
  17. Great to hear that, what was the solution?
  18. Provide the log from the System Information page please and I can see if there are any indications there. The Huawei device is in modem/bridge mode then presumably?
  19. The individual game services on the Geo-Filter can become out of date - the workaround I mentioned will mean you don't need to worry about that and will work
  20. Do this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC the PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client It should show more reliably then. However, Fortnite is a weird one, it only tries to connect you to a server when it's actually loading you in to the pre-game run around lobby area and so that's the only time the router can block it which may result in a longer wait to get returned to the game search lobby. It may be faster to toggle filtering mode off, search, wait to see where it shows on the map/what it pings and then quit if needed and re-search.
  21. Looking at your Huawei model, the XR shouldn't be handling PPPoE, it doesn't need to it looks like, so disable PPPoE on the XR. Reboot the Huawei, wait 2 minutes, reboot the XR from the interface, wait 4 minutes then see if you get internet.
  22. What platform & game? Can you provide a screenshot of your Geo-Filter page please?
  23. Reboot your main modem/router/box that the R3 is connected to while the R3 is connected to it with the ethernet cable, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the R3 from the interface, wait 4 minutes then check for internet. If that doesn't work please provide a screenshot of the WAN Settings page on the R3.
  24. Could you provide a screenshot of the Internet Setup page on the XR please?
