If you try to login using the app when that happens does it work at all? We will definitely look into it. Thanks for the report, I will definitely get the team to take a look at it.

I don't recall if they are included in the list, if you add them manually do they block or is that what you did?

I've not seen that error on the R3 at all so far. What is the URL for when you get that error? Yes it does need that permission to work, if you enable that in settings it should then work.
-
Well there are still bugs/improvements that we're working on if that's what you're asking, no software is 100% bug free so there is always work to be done. You can always upgrade then downgrade if you feel you had a better experience.

Worse Bufferbloat and various issues with R3

Could you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing when it's showing that it's stabilizing but you're seeing this inconsistency? -

When that happens if you could get the log from the interface that would really help to identify the cause -

It doesn't prevent jitter, it raises the ping to absorb it so that you have a consistent ping throughout the match, do you see that? -
Fixed CPU usage spike issue coming next week.
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Cameron's topic in News & Announcements
It will fluctuate based on usage, it won't prevent it ever going to 100% if that's what the router needs but if you use the mobile app to view the interface it's been reported that keeps the CPU down more -
I'm not sure what firmware version your XR500 is on but if you're not on it then I'd suggest trying the beta we've posted on the forum. Otherwise it may be a good idea to try to re-upgrade using TFTP which bypasses the boot process and any issues there. If you're wanting DumaOS still then we have recently launched our R3 router which the software and hardware is entirely done by us.
-
The router comes with it pre-installed, you access it by going to http://192.168.77.1 or http://dumaos in your web browser or by downloading the DumaOS app on your phone app store. All instructions are on/in the box that you need to get started
-
Try setting the console to a PC in Device Manager then re-add it to the Geo-Filter and see if it is more consistent then please.
-
You didn't activate it or didn't disable it? Can you connect to 2.4 or 5GHz manually or is it just the one WiFi name you connect to? The Geo-Filter allows you to force close servers, your connection type doesn't determine what servers you connect to. That's the ping you have when you see that issue specifically?

Go to Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced

All the instructions on how to upload it was on the post you downloaded the firmware from: Download the attached upgrade file. Reboot your R3 - this is a one-off as this new firmware contains improvements to make manual upgrading smoother in the future. Go to the Netduma R3 user interface on your PC/laptop. Navigate to >Settings >Troubleshooting and then click Upload Firmware. Choose the file and then upload it. You'll need to wait a few minutes for the upload to complete..

To download manually go to Settings > Troubleshooting and click upload firmware at the bottom

Worse Bufferbloat and various issues with R3

On the Geo, you will only see servers when searching or in a game so that is normal. The gaming on the dashboard we just need to improve that, it doesn't mean it isn't working. The bufferbloat test doesn't relate to how you have gaming set up, you just need to fine tune Congestion Control to sort that. -
It's not always showing, is it CoD you're playing? What platform are you playing on?
-
That would be entirely dependent on the model you get and the way they tell you to connect it to an existing router. It should work just fine though.
-
Could you grab the log from when you run it and it fails please?
-
Either should work just fine, you may find one or the other works better for you
-
As per the first post we're working on VPN, we might be able to get it in on the next version

Glad to hear that is working. Experiment manually with Congestion Control rather than allowing Ping Optimizer to decide for you and see if you can get the results down more
