NetDuma R3 - Firmware Stability Update When?
Netduma Fraser replied to InternetIsNice's topic in Netduma R3 Support
All that information is on the website, you'd also be hard pressed to find a router with those specs at the price we sold it for -
We'll definitely get them corrected if provided. That part was for the OP, what's the setup you're using?
-
Yes but did you enable it when you were already on the game or before you launched it? What other settings are you using, is Geo-Latency enabled for example?
-
That looks very similar to that Ping Optimizer graph so I think you'll need to adjust the percentages manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced, start with 70% for both download/upload and see if you notice it again. Best to make a new topic and we can help you better there but if you provide the IDs of those servers we can correct them. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

New modem -- R2 not connecting to internet
Netduma Fraser replied to lostinsauce's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Reboot the modem, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the R2, wait 2 minutes and then see if you get internet -
If they're not making it a connectable server then you can't force it. Are there any other servers within your radius?
-
I can't tell based on that, what settings are you using specifically? Did you enable the Geo-Filter before launching the game?
-
constant dropping connection even when plugged in directly.
Netduma Fraser replied to vvv's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay thanks for trying, we think we know why it's happening so it'll be fixed in the next firmware. -
What settings are you looking for? The only specific settings for your country would be where you place your Geo-Filter location/radius

Internal Server Error - Netduma R3
Netduma Fraser replied to justinzepeda13's topic in Netduma R3 Support
The above or press the power button on the back of the router or in Settings > Troubleshooting -
Something isn't necessarily wrong, Ping Heatmap is based on our testing and what the game pings initially when you start it up - it's all potential servers. It is up to them though what servers they use, they may use that one as an overflow servers in particularly busy periods for example. If you never connect to it with the Geo disabled that's likely the case.

"DumaOS is not running!"

I find that one to be a bit hard to do sometimes, try nmrpflash as people have more luck with that -
Check the ping on the Geo-Filter and in game when it happens, that'll give us a better idea of what is happening. You'll likely need to upgrade to the latest and that will help: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/53938-new-r3-firmware-4041/

Are you seeing the server available on the map at all? If you disable the Geo-Filter do you ever connect to that server?

NetDuma R3 - Firmware Stability Update When?
Netduma Fraser replied to InternetIsNice's topic in Netduma R3 Support
We don't give out any ETAs, the next update will have a lot of fixes that's why its taking longer. In the meantime best to adjust Congestion Control manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced. -
Ping Plotter Results
Netduma Fraser replied to davemarsden132's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It is actually fine, the bottom graph is the one you want to focus on, it's really stable and no red indicating no packet loss. All good in my opinion! -
The Geo-Filter shows connections that the game tries to make, if it's not showing then either the server is under load/not available at that time or perhaps they no longer have servers in that location
-
Disabling any core network feature in settings can cause you to disconnect briefly but it should reconnect you, if not reboot and should work then

I'd suggest reupgrading the firmware using the TFTP method, this bypasses the boot process and any issues there then once done do a factory reset for the freshest install possible: https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-from-the-Microsoft-Windows-Command-Prompt?article=000059634 -
I think maybe there is a misconception here, just because you're the host doesn't mean you'll have a really low ping - you still need to connect to that person so your ping will be higher relative to their location
-
There is a strange problem, does anyone know the reason?

Are you seeing the ping spike in game or on the Geo-Filter or both?
-
That's awesome, well done!
