Best Smartboost configuration for Low Ping
Netduma Fraser replied to Luis Gomes's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Prioritize your console yes but then all you really need to do is adjust Congestion Control which will make sure YouTube doesn't cause you any issues -
Xr500 use in 2024
Netduma Fraser replied to shahidwali13's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
If local congestion won't be an issue and you can't force any other low ping servers in your area I'm not sure how much it will help to be honest -
Okay fair enough, a new update won't be far off which will have more improvements/fixes so will be worth trying again when that is available
-
I'll ask the devs to have a look at those entries to see if it indicates the issue
-
Do what is mentioned above, click Steady Ping at the top of the map and then click stats bottom right and see if it is indeed stabilizing the ping even if the ping is not shown (it won't always be possible to show the ping)

I think HMA only offer OpenVPN so yes it would be that option then you put the config file contents in the configuration box, enter your HMA username/password in the relevant fields. You would need to do the same thing with ExpressVPN. We aren't partnered with those services

Xr500 use in 2024
Netduma Fraser replied to shahidwali13's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It's still a good option yes, though it is older now and there will likely not be any further feature upgrades for it. If local congestion is an issue for you then it will help, in terms of servers though you're limited to what is around you so it can't lower that ping as you're likely already connecting to the available servers in your region. There are no guarantees in life and that applies here as well, in theory yes it will work well for you based on what I mentioned but I can't promise you anything, you would have to research it and weigh up the pros/cons in your own mind before purchasing. Probably the best thing to do is to make sure wherever you purchase from has a return/refund policy if you need it. -

I think so yes so you can get access again and then upgrade to the above firmware to see if it is more stable -
just a couple of issues, not sure how fix…
Netduma Fraser replied to Lsmith24's topic in Netduma R3 Support
There will be an update and it would detail it in the change log on that update if included -
Set a static/reserved IP for the device and see if it helps then please

XR1000 Unable To Access Web Portal
Netduma Fraser replied to fletcherjames1's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Have you got your web browser setup to clear cache/cookies every time you close a tab/browser? Do you get the same issue in another browser? -

You may need to do a factory reset then unfortunately, I have given you access now to the new firmware which you can find here:https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/ -
Just to double check is the WAN/internet port of the XR connected to a LAN port on your ISP modem/router? Usually this happens when they haven't been connected together properly
-
That's odd, I'll have to check with the team, it was there previously. In the meantime add your PC as a device and that will prioritize the PC and therefore the game when playing.

We are aware Ping Optimizer/Speed Test isn't 100% reliable at the moment and it's something the team are working on. Those features can still work, it just may not be every time. In the meantime best to adjust Congestion Control manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced. -

Close the tab, unplug the router from power for 10 minutes, plug in, then wait 4 minutes before accessing the interface. Also sign up for Early Access here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/ and we can get you on that to see if it helps -
Gotcha thanks, I'll pass it on though I think the team have mentioned they won't be adding back the ability to resize panels on the dashboard

That's correct but you also can't resize any of the panels on the dashboard screen unless you're referring to the R2 dashboard?

What firmware version are you on currently? Go to the System Information page and then in the Rapp panel menu ≡ change the retries to 5, reboot from the interface, wait 4 minutes before accessing and see if it works then please. -
Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works. Even if it still shows inactive it should still show servers.

What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode
