I don't have a specific link for one, there has been a lot of posts! If I come across one I'll pass it on to you

We have identified switches as a potential cause of disconnects so could you remove that from the setup for awhile and use WiFi instead and see if you get the same issue? It would affect all devices as well.

We don't have specific support for mesh so I can't guarantee it will work - I have seen others use mesh with it and it has worked

XR1000 BETA NEWS?
Netduma Fraser replied to DARKNESS's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
We are aware of that aspect, they should all be done manually for the moment -
You don't need those traffic rules. By the looks of it you've told the router your bandwidth speeds are 419/102 - change it to what you expect in the Congestion Control menu and see if you get better results then.

Could you disable the Adblocker on your browser and try it again please?

HybridVPN on XR450 no longer loading
Netduma Fraser replied to dissonant's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
A factory reset would likely work but it's not a good idea to make a save file while you have an issue and restore it afterwards as you may restore the issue. If you have a file from this firmware version prior to the issue then you could restore it - not every setting is saved though. -
Nothing really in the logs unfortunately - what firmware version are you on? Do you notice a pattern with when it starts happening, e.g. downloading a large file? Are you using a network switch?

As long as you are able to connect it to your existing modem/router via ethernet then yes it will work. Do keep in mind that the Geo-Filter can only force you onto available servers and there may not be many in your region so it won't necessarily lower your ping much in that sense. Everything else like QoS will still work just fine.

XR1000 BETA NEWS?
Netduma Fraser replied to DARKNESS's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
We don't have an ETA, we're waiting for NG to release it. The router still works without updates, what is the issue you're having specifically? -
Are you directly connected to the XR? While connected to the router via a wired Windows PC, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please.

Try these: http://routerlogin.net http://192.168.1.1 http://10.0.0.1

Subidas de ping de repente en Mw3.
Netduma Fraser replied to LeGenD's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
You'll all live in different places, with different connections/setups etc. It's impossible for me to compare and give you a specific reason. In my opinion it's either local congestion, server spike, ISP packet loss or just terrible servers. Fine tune your QoS Settings, block any servers that it happens on and see if it gets any better. -
How did you only select some servers with the location in the ocean? Can you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter from a PC please?

Thanks for confirming, we are looking into it currently -

I'm saying that servers that aren't close to you will give you a worse experience generally, some will be better than others, some may play better at different times of day etc. I don't understand the rest can you clarify? The routing was just an example, your connection to the servers isn't failing otherwise you just wouldn't connect. Tracert will show timeouts if you ping a game server - they don't respond to pings, it's not indicative of an issue. -
Unlikely, you're prioritizing the entire console, it could be gaming, downloads, anything, the more you use the internet on it the more packets will be sent.

Okay so the Geo-Filter is doing it's job then - the further away servers are the more unstable they can become, it could be due to any number of reasons such as your routing to those servers. -
You've set all ports to be prioritized so it could be anything happening on your console, it's impossible for me to say. There is no setting on the router that increases the amount of packets sent/received.
-
That's fine, can you provide a screenshot of the Congestion Control section please?

So just to clarify, not using the Geo-Filter and presumably getting a far away server is giving you a worse experience than using the Geo-Filter to get your closest server? -

If you were connected the whole time reboot the PC and try again -

We're aware of it, in the meantime, remove device from the Geo-Filter, give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager and re- add the device to the Geo-Filter and you should see servers then. Also you're on an old firmware version: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56107-new-r3-firmware-40236/ -
What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. Are ALL devices connected to the R3?
