Congestion Control & SmartBOOST aren't really on/off features, how were they set exactly? If they weren't set to relieve the saturation of your connection then it's possible it could cause that

XR 1000v2 slow speeds
Netduma Fraser replied to ifell's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Switch it to AP mode (this disables all router functions), can you get full speeds through it then? -
I know there was an issue getting it on originally, I can't recall if it was then ultimately not compatible with the architecture or not

I did reply, you didn't reply to the answers to my questions, lets continue there: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/57918-disconnection-while-i-play/#comment-438933 -
That's not going to cause you any issues. Some hops on a route choose to give the least priority to ICMP pings and so when pinging intially before connecting it's giving a low priority reading. When you're actually connected your actual traffic will get that higher priority thus having a lower ping.
-
Just to clarify, your concern is the ping you see before connecting to the server is higher than what is shown when you then actually connect to it?
-
The only way is with using a VPN, it doesn't stop you getting booted from the game, you just won't be offline as long. To counteract the increased ping select the closest possible VPN server to you, it doesn't need to be one far away.

It could be Steady Ping, disable this and then see if it appears as you would expect

Is it possible to get a nat open
Netduma Fraser replied to Jozif's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
If your ISP modem/router has WiFi, set it up so that it is in bridge or modem mode, you can also use the DMZ. Copy the WAN IP from the XR (found on the System Information page) and enter it into the DMZ function on the ISP modem/router. You should get an Open NAT then. If it's still not option you can switch NAT to Open in WAN Settings. -

duma r2 v.4.0.258 destroying my internet
Netduma Fraser replied to Thrry's topic in Netduma R2 Support
That's a bug on Early Access, you'll need to factory reset then it will stay and 0 and you won't be able to enable it again -
The XR1000 doesn't have the HybridVPN feature and the VPN service option you're looking at isn't the same - what is it you're wanting to achieve?

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.540
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Is that in all directions from the router where that occurs? To me that sounds like classic interference, 5GHz doesn't have great penetration either so if there are several thick walls between it and a device it will struggle. Assuming you've optimised the channel manually for it and adjusted the widths with no noticeable improvement, are there any devices within that 5 - 20ft range that emit wireless signals - not just a device that can connect to WiFi but wireless headphones for example, even a microwave would affect it when in use -

Steady Ping - Trovare il giusto setting
Netduma Fraser replied to Erik's topic in Call of Duty Support
Not exactly on the fritz, if it can't ping the server then it can't know what additional ping to apply. It also won't work 100% of the time generally just due to compatibility -
XR 1000v2 slow speeds
Netduma Fraser replied to ifell's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Are there any other settings you may have changed on the XR? In WAN Settings disable the protection options and set NAT to Open and see if that boosts it at all. -
