All interested:  There was an Iain sighting on Twitter briefly yesterday.  He is working 18 plus hours a day like a madman, seems in good spirits and really driven.

Progress continues and appears to be moving along nicely.

That is all.

That prob won't happen.  I wouldn't expect to hear any news until things were done.  Any time in the past people acted like kids wanting it now, now, now.  And throwing a fit if an estimated date wasn't hit - whether it was an actual improvement or just info.   All we need to know is something good is on the way. :)  The rest will all fall in to place.

Yea I was going to say this sort of. Dates turned out to be bad if they missed them by a milla second!

While we live in the Wal*Mart-I-Need-It-NOW world of instant gratification, we all have to be mindful that good things take time.  When they are creating something new in a fresh, clean sandbox, they take even longer.

Personally I don't want an idea like this to be rushed.  Iain is passionate about something.  The last time he was passionate about something we know about, we got the R1, a router that is still offering features unmatched in the market in my eyes.

Give the man time to do it right.

Because releasing it early and/or incomplete isn't going to be remembered as "the build that hit a date" it's going to be remembered by all "the community" found wrong with it.

Follow Iain on Twitter and you will see him come up for air with an update and then usually a link to whatever music he has for motivation that day.

As I told Iain on twitter...less tweeting, more firmware upgrading LOL.

I told him he's gotta get this thing done so when he comes to the states this summer,I can teach him to fly.If this happens I will provide video as it should be funny as hell as with most new pilots... ;)

You know I love you Iain...

Nothing more on this?

No time frames or atleast a hint at what the team is trying to achieve etc?

Yes good things take time, but dangling carrots leaves sour tastes in mouth eventually.

They've given estimated dates before and the community was unreasonable if the date wasn't hit.  This is the best way they could have done it.  As mentioned before Iain, keeps us updated via his twitter account on occasion.

As for the sour mouth - brush your teeth and it will feel much better. :)

If anyone wants an estimate, I'd be hopeful of something by October... I'm not saying I know anything, because I don't but I think us getting as much info as we have and "Fall" in the US/UK being around the time of the next COD is fitting for the revolution that is fw 2.0.0.
