Jumppy_15 reacted to Netduma Fraser in Export and Import Saved (Allow & Deny) Servers
Yes I do usually advise it, especially if there has been a lot of changes and I do think it helps but the devs say it is no longer a requirement.

It would be best to connect via a LAN cable. But, you can do it from Wi-Fi as well. But, you will still have some buffer bloat still minimum, as opposed to not using these settings.

Jumppy_15 reacted to DARKNESS in Different settings recommendation for COD MW3
For Geo-Filter I recommend the following * Disable GeoLatency
* Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0)
* Enable Strict Mode
* Disable Fast Search
You don't need dmz unless it necessary for your own network if you nat type 2 with upnp you don't need to do anything else same with port forwarding as it port fowards the ports automatically no need to waste time finding ports. For Congestion Control that is something that is based on your own network you can't necessarily copy someone else's settings and expect to work as everyone has different networks and all react differently. The best thing to do is use bufferbloat---https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat or pingplotter---https://www.pingplotter.com/ and see how your network reacts the lower or higher the bandwidth you give under CC settings while saturating it by doing a speed test. -

I've sent you .23 via PM, you can upgrade from Settings > Troubleshooting, once complete I'd recommend doing a factory reset

1. Steady Ping on SIMPLE RECOMMENDED. GEO LATENCY ON , NO PING ASSISTS, STRICT MODE
2. Go to Favourites.
3. Bandwidth Reservation
4.Put these ports in as you see thanks to @Chaiyoabc
5. Put speed to 50 down-50 up or 100 down-50 up
6.Advance ping option an put these settings
7. check your buffer bloat on https://www.waveform.com/ . To see if you can get a A+ . Once you have A+ you should be good to go.
8. GamePlay
9. Stats for nerds should look like this while your playing
10. Black Ops 6 Gameplay (pc) ( No Geo Filter)

Jumppy_15 reacted to Netduma Fraser in Steady Ping (Expert)
It's the target ping, so if you have 20ms ping to the server normally and you put Steady Ping to 50ms, it will give you 50ms to the server, not 70ms - it's not adding the value you set on top of your ping. This is why we recommend putting it slightly higher than your usual ping. If you have 20ms that fluctuates to between 15 - 30, 30ms would be a good target ping to set.
Oh so it's not auto updating that's interesting, what browser are you using?

Jumppy_15 reacted to Netduma Fraser in Geo Filter Not Showing Any Servers
Okay so it's most likely a local congestion issue, in which case you'll need to fine tune/experiment with Congestion Control to eliminate that
-
Jumppy_15 reacted to DARKNESS in Geo Filter Not Showing Any Servers
Try this:
1. Quit the application/game/client completely
2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
3. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
4. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option
5. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
6. Wait 2 minutes
7. Boot up application/game/client
Then see if it works.
As for MW3 I believe it a DPI issue that there probably working to resolve that can be why your game isn't being fully stable on the ping as it ins't being detected

I'm in the US, The lowest ping I can get is 20 and the game is almost unplayable because other people in the lobby with higher pings, The higher ping players are bullet sponges and 1 frame kill you + I dont have time to react to them sometimes because they appear out of no where( lag confiscation). The best ping for me is around 80 but I haven't tried any higher ping.

So higher Pings equal better games? (example you gave was Spain/France 20ms vs UK at 6ms ping). And set the Geo-Filter to Servers further away to get a higher ping?
Because lower pings lead to lag comp?

Jumppy_15 reacted to l2eactionz in MW 3 what's working for you?
Yes mate. So I'm from the UK and geo filter Spain Italy..... France is okay but my ping to France is still around 9 to 12ms make sure your in game ping is visible and see what servers give you around 20ms...... you will still get the odd person who's ahead or on a pc basically but you will have a much better game if you have 20ms ping. You still have to do the work and aim hit your shots but I can almost guarantee you will shoot first kill first most people.
Now I'm on a gig line and get low ping I'm tempted to try a USA server around 80ms and see if it's playable lol American servers are definitely more random and alot more casual to EU so statistically you will never get those bot lobbies the youtubers get from America
Sweet spot should be around 20 to 40ms. Don't think this is an advantage this is to level the playing field. You will not be ahead or invincible still have to sit up and try but it will be fair and less rage inducing lol

Could you please elaborate some more on this set-up you mentioned above?
I'm not understanding some of these recommendations like "put dmz to netduma" and "upnp on netduma".
Can someone help provide more details on how to do this?

ISP router is blocking all the permissions the duma router is trying to do. you're getting the better gaming experience because of the little bit of slowdown going through the two devices.

Jumppy_15 reacted to Jackal235 in MW 3 what's working for you?
This game only needs 5/5Mbps internet.
It is the low ping, which allows you to send and receive more packets within a second than a high ping.
It simply means that 5ms player will kill 50ms opponent, before he even sees him, regardless their bandwidth.
At least that's how it used to be.
Later to make the game more fair and saleable, Activision decided to compensate those high ping players.
To do that, 5ms player would get his packet with info about 50ms enemy with 45ms delay.
Actual delays and other algorithms are secret and only matter to speculations.

Yes the 2 combined but especially the eomm. I can handle sweats if the game is connecting right but I swear they will nerf you mid game if you're destroying folks.

Jumppy_15 reacted to slugg in MW 3 what's working for you?
5 down, .5 up. It’s unplayable otherwise and even this isn’t consistent. Of course you have sbmm screwing everybody over on top of that.

MW3 MP - 60 down 10 up with both sliders at 100% is the sweet spot for me. 2 and 3 ping lobbies all day long with geo filter enabled to home pin. Current warzone download and upload set to full 1000mb and the qos sliders at 100% download 100% upload i have a 2gige fiber internet so duma only supporting 1gige pretty much makes my sliders 50%. will see what warzone is looking like tomorrow.

Thanks as always @Netduma Fraser !!

My success story
isp router and put dmz to netduma
upnp on netduma
qos off
and make sure console/pc is the only device in your network. Turn off wifi. Only wire with one device.
qos generally slows down hit detections
smooth and consistent
my kd is 3.08

Copy the WAN IP on the router System Information page, access your ISP modem/router, find the DMZ feature (usually in Firewall or Security or WAN/LAN settings) and paste the IP.
UPnP on the router is enabled by default but if you want you can disable this in the router settings.

Jumppy_15 reacted to Killerelite06 in Latency at low ping.
I slowed down your videos to 0.25 and it seems the recoil is making you miss plenty of your shots. Besides some settings to mitigate visual recoil and using a weapon with good recoil attachments there isn't much you can do on your side.
Try my settings to see if they work for you:
Field of view- 120
Ads field of view- affected
Weapon field of view- Wide
1st person camera movement- Least 50%
If you are still not convinced and you want to get into technical stuff you should look at peeker's advantage, input lag, tick rate, and frame delay.

Jumppy_15 reacted to SableEU in MW3 Topic | How is the new game treating yall, and ETC.
Pretty decent for me.
throttled internet to 5mbps download and 0.5 upload and force a server with 30-40 ping. Hit detection is crisp.
