XR1000 - Call of Duty Dual PC setup
DARKNESS replied to DimeRider27's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@DimeRider27 I am pretty sure EAX12 is an extender only so it does not have AP mode so it conflicting with your AP. You need to set them both to entender mode and in what way do they drop devices? You need to look at the manual if your not able to connect to it when it's on extender mode as it should work. If there's a setting like STP- Spanning Tree Protocol enable it as there can be a loop and that's what causes the network to drop when connected using another extender. As the XR1000 doesn't have that by default. -

@DimeRider27So you have the EX6400v3 on extender mode correct? As looking at it there's two options -

@DimeRider27 Make sure your Only Port Forwarding One Device you cannot do more than one as there's no purpose and it typically causes conflicts on the network. Disable UPNP when Port Forwarding Set a Static IP on your PC Reserve the IP on XR1000 -

@DimeRider27 So you own a Motorola MB8600 correct? https://www.amazon.com/MOTOROLA-Approved-Comcast-Gigablast-MB8600/dp/B0723599RQ -
@Maya HristovaDecrease your bufferbloat for down and upload 100ms on both ain't good also use the nearest server for accuracy.
-
@iOrcusYou'll have to change servers typically it do to the server that your using is overcrowded. To add BO6 uses some crappy data streaming texturing so essentially it using more bandwidth can't say the estimate but that can probably be the cause...regardless the game freezes do to horrible optimization by a billion dollar company that releases the same game every year!
-
@sachaWould guess your playing cod you have to allow the authentication server to do so look at the geofilter map while loading up the game and then allow it. I believe it's because netduma isn't detecting it and it not on a whitelist so you have to do it manually not that it's a deal breaker.
-
@Stilts29Should be recognized as all your doing is reserving additional bandwidth for that application. If it's not being detected then that's the DPI not recognizing the application for it to be detected you have to be in a match.

WTF DO I HAVE TO DO TO SIGN UP IN UR APP
DARKNESS replied to siaf aljabri's topic in DumaOS Mobile App
Buddy all you need to do is use the admin & password you created for the router. There’s no sign in link should be straight foward! -
After Almost 1 year I still can't use my R2??
DARKNESS replied to Spawg's topic in Netduma R2 Support
@SpawgIf your updating from that old build you need to be connected via ethernet as there were issues with prior builds like that one were it would fail to update if you were updating via Wifi. -
@BrunoJust use WPS to connect the printer and soundbar way quicker....

DARKNESS replied to Proud R3 Owner's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
@Proud R3 OwnerIf were being realistic 2.5 GB Port is a must for the R4 as there wouldn't really be much of an improvement on the hardware not only that by the time it released the cost for manufacturing decreases and wifi 8 is about to be finalized this year. I am already seeing some routers even offering every feature that you would need not too brag but here's one https://www.asus.com/us/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/rt-be88u/ and then a cheaper one that came out this year and sorta offers most needs https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-be3600/. So in 3-4 years time we shall see... -
playstation and xbox not showing up on smart boost
DARKNESS replied to jame0174's topic in Netduma R3 Support
@jame0174I get what your saying but as I stated that's normal behavior. They could add the option were if your using a cached browser/App it stays on that specific selection so something to check out @Netduma Fraser -

DARKNESS replied to jame0174's topic in Netduma R3 Support
@jame0174This isn't dumaos 3 were it based of off devices only it does both simultaneously you use devices to give higher priority to a specific device and the (Activities)DPI for applications. -

That's normal behavior to add your gaming activity is only going to show up active if your on a match not sitting on lobby. -

@Maya HristovaThere's only so much you can clean that's why I recommend an air duster as that solves the problem you don't need to worry about the dust too much if it's just light dust. Routers function fine with them It not necessarily a console were you need to clean fan because it needs better ventilation to keep CPU cool. The only time performance would be impacted would be if you were blocking air ventilation by putting it in particular area were temperatures would increase. Let's say you live in a hot place then I would recommend getting a Mini-Fan if that's what your worried about since you don't typically need to clean a router.
-
@Maya HristovaSimplest method is to use an air duster and then clean it with wipes or just use a plain cloth. You just don't want to add water to the router as that'll damage the components.
-
@MartonicIt is possible to do but without a VPN you’ll pretty much never queue into a lobby as your waiting indefinitely. So the method to select your region is to use HVPN and then use geofilter to lock to a specific server.

NEW XR700 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.363
DARKNESS replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@MobelThat's the intention it when the actual match starts when it's detected. -
@XeroYes Speeds are capped on PlayStation as Sony has slow servers when downloading files + uploading they even slightly affect your ping and if the servers go down then you can't play any game unlike PC.
-
@BrunoIf your playing efootball don't expect the geofilter to work for that game as I have tested it personally and it one of those games that aren't compatible with the feature even though it seems like it is at first. I already showed netduma this so they need to add that game to the not compatible list .

@truck0331 I am not the admin but I believe there is a known issue with ppoe/fiber connections therefore the solution is to have your ONT box handle the connection and then use the XR1000 as the host to control the network. They say it already fixed and the firmware is pending on netgear whenever that is released....the admin should be on tomorrow.
