  1. @DJAYYPersonally, I encrypt all of my data. I do not take the risk of someone launching a denial-of-service (DDoS) attack on me simply because I engage in online discussions or participate in gaming activities. I acknowledge that some individuals may resort to such actions due to a sense of superiority or inferiority, but I do not condone their behavior. It is crucial to recognize that DDoS attacks are not a legitimate form of expression and should not be tolerated. In essence, it is advisable to ensure that all potential vulnerabilities are covered to mitigate the risk of such attacks. The appropriate time to disable HVPN is when you are certain that you are playing a game that does not leak IP addresses. Fortnite is a good example, unlike others. Additionally, never join a party chat on PlayStation if you know the DDoS user is on the party chat because that is the easiest way for them to get your IP address, so if you have HVPN enabled, they will not be able to do much, but you may disconnect for a few seconds. The primary objective of utilizing specific ports is to relocate specific games while maintaining uninterrupted traffic for other activities (preserving internet speeds). However, it is crucial to acknowledge that the VPN service does introduce a slight reduction in speeds, necessitating the introduction of the specific port feature to address this concern.
  2. @DJAYYHere’s the clip to help you: https://jam.dev/c/60593dd7-aef7-4e16-badd-419845ce0a8c. Type “bing.com” in a PS5 message, click the link, search for “IP leak test,” and check your IP before changing. Then enable HVPN and check if the IP has changed. NordVPN shows if you’re using their VPN.
  3. @CautionCheck to see if internet rules work on the app. They were renamed due to the R3, so it's most likely just an app design issue that they can't revert to as it the same function as traffic controller.
  4. I believe that the Netduma staff are off since it is the holidays, but they should be back tomorrow. After upgrading the firmware, I would definitely perform a factory reset. I've seen that happen here and there, and typically it is because your IP is conflicting with your setup.
  5. I understand your frustration about the deceptive strategies, known as "dark patterns," employed by companies to manipulate their customers into spending more money. Unfortunately, I do not believe that this situation will change, as greed is a powerful motivator. If you object to these practices, I suggest that you explore games that do not employ these patterns. For this reason, when I tire of playing first-person shooter or battle royale games, my preference is for story-driven games. Here is a link to a list of all the dark patterns they use purposefully to manipulate you, though some are subjective to an extent. To add the link also shows you games that don't contain these patterns as much. https://www.darkpattern.games/
  6. @YT_LowPingKing In general, I choose to set my gaming devices as the top priority, and I never deviate from that. The other devices simply don’t matter unless you are doing VOIP, so you’re forced to find the appropriate congestion control settings to ensure that everything is working properly. If you can discover the correct settings, then you don’t have to worry about anything else. If a device is not assigned priority by SMARTBOOST, you can force it by adding ports 1-65535 to the priority list. However, keep in mind that doing so will disable all other priority settings, so it should be your last resort. That's because that will be the only device that will have priority.
  7. @SpazzTechnically you can use them both, but every time the console is on because you've set it on the DMZ it will be prioritized. Because of this, they overlap. From what I am aware, other routers do not even allow you to use both rules simultaneously because of that specific reason.
  8. The XR1000 router consists of four versions in version one and one version in version two. To determine which variant you have, refer to the label on the back of your router. If you install incorrect firmware, that could be a possible cause of the malfunctioning features.
  9. @Spazz When you place a device in the DMZ, only that device can have its ports forwarded. It's not too bad for a console as it's safe unlike a PC, but for a PC if you want to be safe you have to delete it from the DMZ and then add all of the ports manually to the forwarding section, which can be quite long. I think what can be happening is that the console is active and so, since you're using two rules that shouldn't be working together, there being overruled by the console as it's the priority.
  10. You can absolutely do that, but I do find it to be unreliable in practice.
  11. I have tested the Hybrid VPN feature, and it works. You can check if it's enabled using the PlayStation Network browser. This may require you to use a secret method to access it. Once you're in, check if your IP address has changed, which verifies that the feature is working. You can check this on NordVPN's website or other websites. I'm a Playstation user, so I can demonstrate it if you'd like.
  12. Just to clarify what you are asking, are you asking if the VPN will work with the Geo-filter feature on or off?
  13. The sig file is just an update, and there is no download for a full OS. I recommend trying to connect to your router with an Ethernet cable and setting up your Wi-Fi password through the setup wizard. It is possible the firmware on your router is old, and that could be causing the issue.
  14. @alecjb12 I am just a consumer and not affiliated with Netduma just so you know. Even though there is no expiration date on the product itself, products are still sold regardless of the life support of the software, just like if you were to buy a router that was five years old.
  15. As your router is reaching the end of its lifecycle support, I don't know if the issue will be fixed in time. However, you could try to record what's happening with Jam Dev while on an Incognito mode in your browser. This might help developers troubleshoot the problem faster. I did notice that there are stack tracebacks so yes geofilter is certainly failing to work. The admin should be on tomorrow, hopefully they can help you further. https://jam.dev/?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI1bSls7C3iQMV8WZHAR3I9h_XEAAYASAAEgLkb_D_BwE
  16. @alecjb12The latest firmware is 1.0.0.74, not 1.0.64.18. https://kb.netgear.com/000066233/XR1000-Firmware-Version-1-0-0-74
  17. @pdiorio@Netduma FraserI tested it myself with youtube - instagram - Facebook etc and what seems to be happening is that the traffic becomes unknown after a bit of time so it essentially bypasses the rule since the packets aren't readable to the router. https://jam.dev/c/2c12cdff-a8c8-4bb2-a9f4-258492872446 https://jam.dev/c/a9c62e3a-40ce-4bfb-9fc3-c4bdccbd2165
  18. @JoshTheLuzI am pretty sure what you're having is the DHCP lease every 12-24 hours and it is expected for it to go down for about 2-3 minutes and come back up. So if you don't want that to happen often then change the DHCP lease time to more than 48 hours or so whatever you feel comfortable.
  19. @Jermsz Follow your port mirroring manual instructions then set the IP of the console and then the router IP and see what information is being provided as the game is running in the background. @Netduma FraserSo that's something that can be updated for those that are incorrectly providing files as it easier to comprehend and see if it actually working by looking at information that is easy to read. I say this because I checked certain files and there not doing it correctly and no-one has said a beep about that... https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/527/ - Can use as reference for port mirroring https://jam.dev/c/ec6b8094-d02d-4941-a137-a68a37d4a2f2 - Video
  20. @JermszYou have an ethernet adapter or mirroring port switch?
  21. @JermszPretty sure your not doing it properly as there no activity except the one coming from your desktop device not the one from PS5 it would be showing something like Standard query 0xcec4 A ps5.np.playstation.net You can see it by looking at the udp it the quickest way. I can see you got bit defender that's from your Desktop for example but you're definitely not mirroring the traffic from the console.

  24. @Nj12 Well did you actually own the game on that account? If not then that's why you would need to purchase it as it not you who owned it but your friend that your probably share playing with etc...though could also be potato psn servers were you need to restore licenses for everything to show up.
  25. @Nj12How exactly? https://jam.dev/c/d9a2222d-4abb-4803-8648-2bc0dc26ed58
