Authentication of the WiFi credentials or interface credentials? Default username/password is admin & password if you changed it during the setup you may need to then login again with those new credentials

Netduma R3 and Ikea (Sonos) Multi Room
Netduma Fraser replied to ChrisG82's topic in Netduma R3 Support
No same subnet, so it would work but if you require the AP anyway then better to keep it like that, I am pretty sure it is the issue we're aware of. Connect the TV to 2.4 or 5GHz and phone to the other and it should work -
It's for the reasons above

Thanks, I'm just checking in with Alex now

Netduma R3 and Ikea (Sonos) Multi Room
Netduma Fraser replied to ChrisG82's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay so please try this, you can use this method if you want to so you don't need to enable the AP but it's more so that I can confirm the issue is the same one we're looking into. If you enable guest WiFi and put the speakers on that and then have your phone on the main WiFi can you control them then? -
Can you provide more information about why you're unable to complete the wizard through the app?

We are aware Ping Optimizer/Speed Test isn't 100% reliable at the moment and it's something the team are working on. Those features can still work, it just may not be every time. In the meantime best to adjust Congestion Control manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced.

Have you connected the R3 via ethernet to your existing vodafone router? Have you accessed the R3 interface in your web browser or DumaOS mobile app and completed the Setup Wizard? You will need to do this before you can get internet.

Do all four speakers have to connect via the same WiFi SSID or do you connect them individually? -
Use speedtest.net on a wired PC and see what you get as the in built test depending on the servers it uses will show lower than normal and console speedtests even say themselves they're estimates

Restarting R3 everyday to get to the settings.

Someone posted a potential solution to this while we look into it, please see if this helps: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/54072-router-stops-working-no-access-to-r3/?do=findComment&comment=400311 -
Okay well that's probably why then, it lowers Congestion Control to eliminate lag. You can adjust this in Ping Optimizer > Advanced if you re-enable SmartBOOST

What is the exact physical setup internet > ISP modem > XR? What is the IP you use to access the modem? -
Netduma R3 and Ikea (Sonos) Multi Room
Netduma Fraser replied to ChrisG82's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Just to be clear, is there a separate device - the controller, so 4 speakers, 1 controller and controlled by the app? -
high ping and random lag and filter not working
Netduma Fraser replied to ryekye's topic in Netduma R3 Support
If it is CoD you're playing, it's very likely due to the season 2 update, a big influx of players causing strain on the servers. Try direct to the modem and see if you get the same thing. -
Router stops working & no access to R3?
Netduma Fraser replied to Aspect of Wrath's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Thanks a lot for posting about this, well done for figuring out what seems to be causing it for you, I will pass this onto the team to see if they can reproduce the issue with this information -
Just to clarify, it's not working again?

If your ISP modem/router has WiFi, set it up so that it is in bridge or modem mode, you can also use the DMZ. Copy the WAN IP from the R3 (found in Settings > WAN) and enter it into the DMZ function on the ISP modem/router. Disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN on the R3 and enable remote support in Settings > Troubleshooting. Then post back here from a device connected to the R3 when you've done that and when you're having the high CPU usage as the devs would like to have a look at what is happening.

Has it been a lot more stable since downgrading?

Problems with WiFi Extenders / Access Point
Netduma Fraser replied to ChrisG82's topic in Netduma R3 Support
What IP addresses do the two devices have? You won't be able to access the AP UI via the R3 unless the AP has an option to allow access from the WAN
