Go to the firmware topic pinned to the top of Early Access forum https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/ -
Smoother in what sense? SmartBOOST & Congestion Control should be used to eliminate any local congestion so your ping stays low

You just need to do the config, enter your VPN user/password and the router will say if it has connected. Then add the device to the VPN. Using a VPN won't lower your ping, it would raise it and unlikely to make it more stable either so I wouldn't recommend it if that is your goal. -
Worth buying Netduma for optimising EA FC 24 in Greece ?

If you can provide screenshots of your QoS/Geo-Filter pages perhaps I can help tweak -
That's just physics, there is no way around it - I'd suggest putting your location/radius over central US so you both have a higher ping but neither one of you has to have a really high ping so its more balanced

You'll need to obtain the configuration files from CyberGhost - if you're not sure how send them a message and they can send it to you. Then open the file for the server you want to connect to in a text editor on Windows. Copy the contents and paste into the configuration box on HVPN. -
No you don't need to disable UPnP - if you reboot the router then the console UPnP should populate

Ahh that diamond cut out is actually for all your outlets? I'll have to pass that feedback onto the team

Did you have any games running when you took this screenshot? -
That's good to know thanks, I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of it!

Is that not the adapter we provide next to it so that it can be used with your outlets? Double check the specs on the both adapters to see if they match but you probably can use the R2 one.

Just to double check, did you enter the contents of the CyberGhost VPN config file into the config box for HVPN? You need to do that to get a connection -

Warzone MW3 and NetDuma R2 no ping health

Can you resync the cloud then get the logs from the System Information page for me please? -
Try port forwarding then, it's probably the only option

Netduma Fraser replied to Deki's topic in Netduma R2 Support
It's working for me, on the Ping Heatmap page click the icon then click Resync cloud then try pinging the game again, does it work? -
It needs to be done to allow the internet to pass directly through to the router without any interference you can do: DMZ/Exposed Host Port Forwarding: 1 - 65535 TCP/UDP Modem Mode Bridge IP Passthrough

What is the error you're getting exactly? Can you provide the config you're using please? -
That explains it then, you're at opposite ends of the country - the game will be trying to find a middle ground so based on whatever settings you have it'll be getting the closest middle server hence raising your ping a little. They're getting a high ping because they're being forced to connect to a server closer to you than them.

I disconnect from the internet every day
Netduma Fraser replied to ASD4157's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Where it says "Starting IP address" in the last box where it says 2 change that to 50. Then under address reservation click Add, then give your devices any number between 2 and 49, once you've done them all apply and reboot the router
