No need to do anything different. They'll let me/you know if they need something specific -
192.168.1.1 vs routerlogin.net

No worries, glad you were able to get it sorted and thanks for the solution/update! -
What is the high latency numbers you're seeing when playing exactly?
-
What ping are you seeing in the game? You can have the Geo-Filter enabled but in spectating mode so it won't filter but you can see the ping still - what does the ping say on the Geo-Filter also? Where is the server in relation to you that its putting you on?

It's 192.168.1.1/adv_index.htm for those, does that work? -

Just to clarify you said 192.168.1.1/admin do you mean the standard interface or the page where it is just the netgear settings, no DumaOS/styling? -
Thank you, on the router in DHCP give the console and phone a reserved IP address, reboot the router, wait 4 minutes, then reboot each device then try connecting, does it work then?

Quite possible it has gotten itself in a weird state, I've let them know you're accessible and so hopefully they'll be able to take a look. Unlikely to be today but you don't need to be present, they can connect any time now -

There aren't any settings really for this in the Netgear section so not a super clear one, presumably it's showing the same IP in LAN Settings on the router? -

Do you get the same issue with another browser? Have you installed any new extensions on your browser recently? -
Thanks for your candour, the game makes changes all the time, they introduce servers, take them away etc. All it means is you may need to allow a server that is being blocked so you can get in. If you can then provide the ID for that server we can then make sure it's whitelisted for everyone. It's not a bug, it's the nature of the beast when games update all the time. Check the Geo-Filter when you get the message, look for an icon being blocked, allow it, then try again. You may need to do it a few times, there may be a few servers in the same location responsible.

What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the XR? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup Traffic Prioritization? What platform are you playing on and how is it connected, via ethernet or WiFi? Are you using the Geo-Filter? DNS & Port Forwarding won't have any impact on lag and games barely use any bandwidth - if figures for Destiny online are correct then even though it does use more than most games it still only uses 0.6Mbps.

Someone else is seeing some similar WiFi issues so definitely firmware it seems. I've passed it on to see if we can have a look, if you could do the following: If your ISP modem/router has WiFi, set it up so that it is in bridge or modem mode, you can also use the DMZ. Copy the WAN IP from the R3 (found in Settings > WAN) and enter it into the DMZ function on the ISP modem/router. Disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN on the R3 and enable remote support in Settings > Troubleshooting. Then post back here from a device connected to the R3 when you've done that and we'll attempt to connect when available. -
Your secret is safe with me 😁ah fair enough, I've not encountered anyone from the EU paying any customs fees with UPS so far so hopefully that continues. Np!
-
Could you attempt to connect the PS5 to 5GHz then immediately get the logs from Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced on the router please
-
As a test put one of your WiFi devices in the DMZ on the router then do a speed test, what do you get? Remove it from the DMZ immediately when done
-
You shouldn't have had to pay customs fees originally as you're in the EU so I don't know how that happened. We use a distributor now and it's mainly UPS, we're limited to the options they use/provide/that can give us the best rates. If you have a look on the site you can see how much it would cost now with UPS and see how it compares with what you paid previously
-
Just want to make sure they're suitable for high transfer rates that wouldn't impact the wifi when ethernet gets priority. You said you changed the widths, did you do the highest width on 5GHz and you noticed no difference? Did you use a WiFi analyzer to find the best channel or just choose random ones?

Possible Mislocated Servers (Black Ops 6/PS5)
Netduma Fraser replied to Luis Gomes's topic in Netduma R3 Support
We've made the changes and are testing the cloud update ourselves to make sure there aren't any issues then we'll do a gradual rollout. -
Could you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please?

We don't generally connect for everyday troubleshooting like this, if eventually we can't solve it then we may be able to get a dev to have a look. What category of ethernet cables do you have connected to the router? Have you got any other cables you can try with?
