How to set Express VPN to get Bot Lobbies in Warzone?

Hi I need help, never used a VPN connection before, I am living in New Jersey and I set the Geo Filter here in NJ, I hear some  players are using an Egypt VPN to get bots lobbies but my doubt is if I have an Egypt VPN account I need to set my Geo Filter in New Jersey or Europe to get lower ping and bot lobbies?

Thank you for your support.

When using a VPN to a far away country your ping will increase radically. If you were then to force game servers in that location as well it would increase further. It is not possible to force a server that far away, even in the EU with a low ping, it's just due to distance and you can't get around that.

yes @Netduma Fraser but for example in egypt i dont have internet, but when i am in india i have internet but no find match..

I think the problem is in the vpn provider

so i been playing with this a lot the last couple days, VPN is hit or miss but to keep it 100 i have gotten higher kills and way more wins on local servers using the netduma for best possible connection to local lobbies, i wouldn't use nolag vpn since its not a real vpn it doesn't even spoof your ip to a different address so if activision ever decides that using a a vpn is cheating and they feel to do something about it they can track you with nolag vpn, also nolag vpn is for pc only, im on series x with pc for stream. if anyone wants to try this method and needs help dm me, but theres way better ways to trick the sbmm for less competitive lobbies. if you use a vpn you will  have a 200 plus ping trying to find boot lobbies

What used to be the trick is you run your geofilter in a place where there is no dedicated server. Then you start the game. This blocks the dedicated servers and then you are into p2p matchmaking mode. Then you turn off you geofilter as you start searching for a match.

This will essentially turn off SBMM since it's purely connection based matchmaking. And there is no latency balancing, only the host gets a penalty. So the trick was not to be host but be very close to the host. Downside is that folks who play p2p generally have a shitty connection so that hinders this a bit. We used to do this in SEA before there was a Singapore server.

The more folks have acces to a dedicated server, the less likely this is to work however. Activision changed how matchmaking works from MW2019 so not sure if you can still do this.

This only works for multiplayer. Warzone is dedicated only

I've talked to you before, I'm in California too(Near Sacramento), I play on PS5 and when I play local servers in CA I get packet loss(1-6%) in basically all of my games but my ping is 30-39. It makes no sense that I get such horrible packet loss in local servers so I VPN and geo-filter to keep me out of CA. Normally I connect to the servers in he Midwest or even east coast so I'm always dealing with 79-110 ping but never get packet loss. Open nat type, 500 MB download 50 upload speed... So on top of sweaty east coast lobbies I have a huge ping disadvantage. This game is so frustrating lol

i would call your ISP and complain they your getting packet loss, you can have a 300 to 400 ping and still have zero packet loss, that's more then likely something wrong on there side, hardware by the main box or bad lines somewhere and when you connect to servers farther away the traffic is just rerouting a different direction

i use to have time warner cable years ago, and i got the 200mb package when everyone else was barely 5 to 25mb

i had a packet loss of 20 and up

ended up where ever the main box/hub was located a couple miles away there was a sprinkler that was just blasting there switch box with gallons and gallons of water every night. because i never got the serviced they clammed and was charging me for they would credit my bill every month to only $9.99 a month for internet and tv even after they fixed it, when i moved the only thing i missed was the price of my cable / internet bill lol

I’ve played Brazil and Japan servers for shits n’ gigs and no packet loss with 210+ ping. I’ve called my ISP before; they do a “line check” on my lines over the phone and it’s always good hahaha. I’ll shoot them a call and say I’m fed up with paying for their top package and not getting the service I should.

Had a play with VPN for the last 3 days and I've been to Brazil, Argentina, Bangladesh, India, Spain, Portugal, North America, Egypt, South Africa, Russia, Eastern EU, Mexico and Saudi...

And every single match has been Diamond, except for in Mexico where I was getting Gold lobbies that were so sweaty, they may as well been Diamond.

So where you get 'bot' lobbies from, I really don't know.

theres no servers in Mexico

VPN is hit or miss, i mentioned this before, nolag vpn is not a real vpn service and they paid specific streamer to cry about it so they can get all the little timmys in servers with 200 pings and free up traffic off the pro player / pro streamers local servers

ping is king not vpn there is way better methods to get easier lobbies then vpn by itself

I never said their was...

I listed the countries I VPN'd to, not what servers I connected to.

Also, I didn't use NoLagVPN as thats only for PC and I play on console.

you can use nolag on console  you just have to load it through the hybridvpn on the dumaos

Ah, didn't know. I went on their website and it said they didn't support console.

cause you cant lunch the vpn app from the console but if you hard config it to the router your good, but theres way better vpn's then nolag

For example?

im assuming your asking how?

so all vpn services have a .ovpn script which is basically a text file. there will be a user name and password you copy and past that into the hybridvpn section of your duma os under advanced. under login and password is a config section, to get the config info you need to get the script its a .ovpn file i was mentioning and there is one for each location. download the location you want to use for example

test_vpn_new_zealand_udp.ovpn

once you download it open it with note pad and you will see something like this

now you copy and past that whole thing to the config section then hit connect, after your connected add  your console or pc to vpn traffic.  if your streaming and playing on console your screwed cause vpn kills your bandwidth hard so no more streaming, and if your like me playing on console and streaming on pc then only add your console to the vpn traffic devices so only your console uses the vpn and your pc can stream with no bandwidth hit

May i ask what vpn you use?

I don’t use one i honestly believe they don’t work and the ping is to high for my taste, if you have patients the netduma geo filter will put you on those same servers just takes a little longer

I have used a couple i also did not like.

I am currently finding my best servers with geo.

It’s to miss then hit. VPN are awesome so many things you can do with them but just using it for warzone I felt was just a path to find lobbies with more hackers. Occasionally you will get that one lobby where your able to drop over 20 to 30 kills but the ping is so high it takes one player hidden behind something to just out gun you. I also live in California I tried ever location in the U.S. and did not notice one that actually gave a advantage

@Netduma Fraser hey is there any way you can verify members on the forum to actual own a netduma? starting to get a lot of DM's from people that are brand new to the forum and do not even own a device with duma software

And to the general public i feel a lot of us put in a lot of hard work time and money to get us where we are at so i will not be sharing any information with anyone who has not  been a active member of this community, this includes all the new members signing up then directly DM'ing me. Not fair for the community that's been here for a long time. Hope you understand, thank you
