JConnor
Here is gents, watch it and weep, or... Be glad if you like futuristic stuff? I like how they used "Infinite Warfare" to subconsciously evoke Infinity Ward. Hmm...
SM961
Judging from past trailers I can says there's going to be more monkeys flying around and MP is going to be full of them.
Sgt-Greco
All we ever wanted was boots on the ground. All this spaceships cr@p is out of hand. They could simply remaster COD4 and MW and make tons of money. IW didn't listen. Time to switch to BF. Too old to fight in Saturn and Pluto. PharmDawgg
No more boots on the ground guys. It is no longer Call of Duty. It's Call of Buck Rogers. Damnit where's twiki. lol
procreate
well they are remastering COD4 [which is OKAY.... but going back and playing it makes it feel very old, or me old]. i would of rather had MW/2/3 all done. i still would rather them do a COD Online of all past releases as persistent MP. havent played a campaign since MW3. even COD Online could be split into Classic and Exo modes, or even IW and 3ARC modes. not sure about the new infinity warfare... i still play 360 Ghosts and MW3. fuzzy clam
As I've always said I liked Ghosts and I could give a shit where the game is played space,NAM in the jungle, etc. The main thing to me is and always has been how does the game run,hit detection, connectivity etc.I'm not so concerned with all the other shit, just want a somewhat smooth playing game. I would love to have a boots on the ground game with no Rocky the flying squirrel bullshit but I don't know if were ever gonna see it on any future titles only the older titles.Which is fine with me as I really enjoy playing them and feel that's where the duma really shines for those that are skeptical about it working with older titles. I do have a question about the COD4 game, don't you have to order some special version of Infinite Warfare to get it ? Like the 80 dollar version of the game or something like that ? fuzzy clam
Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition. $79.99. Thanks for the heads up Buck.Damn I'm not feeling the 80.00 bucks for the game but I guess if COD4 is any good it will be worth it,even if Infinite Warfare sucks. I've been being kind of a tight ass when it comes to giving up my cash for anything other than the game itself after the 2 bad experiences with the AW season pass and BO3 season pass. But I guess if I want it I gotta do it. This! And 'balance' for me, so that all the weapon (or at least weapon classes) have their place - no more of this SMG will work on any map at almost any distance crap. If it's a big map with big open spaces then running with an SMG should result in repeated deaths!
JConnor
We've been at this "game" -- the actual series and life in general -- To know what we will probably be getting: -The Quake III... Er, excuse me, IW Engine 4.0, or whatever they're labeling it this year -A TTK similar to BO3 and Ghosts since fast TTK is CoDs trademark, now, right or wrong -Linear campaign with cool features left out of MP that would actually help make it stand out and still be CoD -Small to medium sized MP maps which make SMGs the go-to gun -First week everybody will love it, but when the Honeymoon is over everybody will hate it -If the first DLC isn't any good, people will still play it in the hopes they get better... As they did in Ghosts -Nadeshot will be coaxed back into playing IW for his retirement run at E-Sports, crashing Twitch in the process Oh, and our favorite... Supply Drops will be front and center day one because this is the future where everything is delivered via a crate with a mystery inside, for a price. Have I missed anything? procreate
what it has going for it, IW engine which is far greater than 3ARCs... so connections should be way better and gameplay smoother. what it has against it.... future crapola. so basically the game itself. how about a modern warfare game where the religions of the world have started WW3 and annihilated modern society, but a small group of athiests and scientists have been set to make the world sane again? Gunzby
Looks like another year of me not playing COD. Well that is unless they sell COD4 by itself, which I think they will do eventually. Sad part is that I'm assuming AW2 will be the next game and I probably won't play that game either.

Dillinger
One thing is for sure, if Activision doesn't get the point after this fiasco', there will be zero hope for the franchise. Just had to check, to make sure, but let's just examine this for a minute. PSY - The Korean Pop "star/one hit wonder" has over 2.57 BILLION views on 'Gangam Style'. He has 1,502,951 dislikes, as of this posting. The Infinite Warfare trailer has 14.61 MILLION views, but has 1.347 million dislikes, as of this posting. Damn. That is WEAPONS GRADE level distaste when you look at percentages.
Zennon
Strange how Bops 3 is so popular but people do not like the movement going forward in to the next game. For me the font looks like AW this might be triggering some subconscious knee jerk reaction as that was the worst cod.
bagsta69
Ive seen people say how despite the dislikes etc it will be the biggest selling game of all time and how pre orders are through the roof etc, Well yes, COD is always the best selling game year after year and this year I think they are hedging their bets for the backlash by including Cod4 remastered. How many people would be buying this game if Cod4 remastered was being sold on it's own? I Am buying it mostly for Cod4 but will probably play the campaign at least on IW but if the boosting about thing is still in MP ill be giving that portion of the game a miss unless my gaming buddies insist on playing it. (which I don't think they will)
sncjez
I'm hoping IW can add cranked into one of those games again that was insane to play a nice addition if they can add it again i'm deffo in prolly in anyway but the return of cranked would be a dead cert. JConnor
If we are being completely honest, I believe the main thing that is fueling all the futuristic hate is... Nostalgia. Posit this: -Most of the original fans who started with MW, MW2 were teens. Fast forward almost 10 years later and those players are now in their early to mid-20s. This means they (hopefully) have more responsibilities going on in their lives which means less time to game. -Having less time to game means wanting a game that is easy to pick up and play with minimal effort. The newer CoDs are the exact OPPOSITE of this with all the vertical movement, specialist abilities, etc. So, this frustrates some older gamers because now they can't jump in and wreck people like they used to. It's the actual kids who do the wrecking now, just like the adult players used to do almost 10 years ago. -Another part of not being able to pub stomp is as players age, their reflexes diminish. Nobody wants to admit this, but as you get older, your reflexes slow down. Period. No iffs, ands or butts. So, again, couple this with the advanced vertical movement and a lot of older players simply can't compete with the younger, faster and more die hard players who can game eight hours a day, or more. Now, with all of this being said, I believe Activision is not doing the right thing, IMHO. Activision is guilty of the same thing the Pro Wresting industry is guilty of: Trying to retain the adult audience (40s, 50s) who are parents of kids who watch pro wrestling by bringing out the old timers like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, etc. when that is not who pro wresting is aimed at. It's aimed at kids ages 10-teens. Not middle-aged people who used to watch wrestling back in the '80s and '90s. WWE knows this and this is why Triple H is heading up NXT which is designed for the future and not stuck in the past with nostalgia, trying to appease an older audience that is a minority and not the majority. So, I believe including MW Remastered is not a good move (overall) because they are doing exactly what they should not be doing IMO, trying to keep an aging player base that is going to leave the game at some point anyway due to numerous reasons. UK_Wildcats_Fans
You have some good points. People often struggle with change - even in video games. Activision is a business out to make money - like all for-profit businesses. I have successfully managed many products and business segments in my career. If the product does not evolve, the competition will and gain the market share. Here is an interesting statistic for you. Most revolutionary (i.e. first of its kind) products/services usually fail in the long run. The reason being that another company(ies) will take this revolutionary product/service concept and greatly improve on it and then takes over the market share. Because of this products have to be able to improve and maintain its market share. I have been playing COD since MW2, and I personally like the "improvements" of the exo, wall running and boost jumping. I loved pub stomping, spawn trapping, holding down lanes, etc. of the older CODs, but they always felt slow to me. The new movements make the game play faster and makes it harder to spawn trap, hold down lanes, etc. I personally look forward to seeing the "new" things that each game introduces. Regarding gaming as we get older. I am one that admits it that my reactions are definitely not as good as when I was younger. My son, nephew and their friends love stomping me on 1v1. However, they know better than to play against me and my teammates. I may have lost an edge in reaction time, but I make up for it in strategy and tactics. Also, the older we get, the more discretionary income to spend on better monitors, Netduma, controllers, etc. HA HA.

When you are young, you have the advantage of Youth, when you get older, you are compensated for what you lost by hopefully having more discretionary income to give you an edge. Hence the reason the average poster here is well outside the teen years of invincibility.
