Unfortunately for me it didn't work.
R3 was my last hope of having fun playing Call of Duty, but it wasn't this time.
I made all the possible and imaginable configurations, including that of my friend SpriteKid, I really manage to keep my bufferbloat at zero, with greater internet consistency (in other words, the router does what it promises), however, inside the game basically nothing has changed.
While I have to fire 20 shots to kill someone in Warzone, I die with 8. In Multiplayer I have to fire 5~6 shots to kill, but I die with 3~4.
    It's not R3's fault.
I've already used 4 different routers, including a MiniPC (x86) running OpenWRT and Cake QoS, nothing helped.
I've done everything you can imagine, I've messed with hardware, software, network, it just seems like a curse that has no cure.
I think the thing is just to let it go, I give up.

    4. I recommend to disable any power saving, throttle or green internet shit in network adapter settings. What should be enabled is any offload feature with interrupt moderation on on adaptive or medium setting.

I highly recommend to buy i210-t2.

Dont forget to turn off uPnP and reserve DHCP adress for your PC and make static IP in network settings on ur PC.

Research more in-depth and find out by yourself how things work and what you actually need. Don't rely only on youtube vids cause there is a lot of retards who make clickbait shit and copy each other.

We have done some work on IPv6 in the next firmware so it might be it works better in that one when available

    Hi guys !
Why do you want to use IPv6 Internet? (Game consoles and PC gaming applications use NAT so this won't be of any help to you, it seems to me).

IPv6 is bugged. The best tip I can give you is wait for the new update at this point turn off both LAN and WAN IPv6.

I think as above it'll be better in the next firmware but make sure the R3 is in the DMZ on the upstream router and it may help

I'm in the same boat, changed my ISP, now I have fiber, changed my PC, changed monitor, mouse, keyboard, headphones, power sockets for PC and monitor, windows re-install. Nothing worked, my ping is as low as 3 sometimes, mostly under 10 but I have this weird delay in everything that's on the screen and the sound, and it looks somewhat blurry when moving the camera around fast. On my screen it looks like I shoot the enemy, on the kill cams it shows that I missed.
Sometimes the game feels great, mostly late night, and when that happens I am frying, but I can't stay up till 3:00 AM to start playing too often.
I have just ordered my R3 to see if it helps, I don't have much hope.

Chackall reacted to Netduma Fraser in NEW R3 FIRMWARE 4.0.40
Hello everyone, here is the first update of 2024 for the Netduma R3. This update is not available as a 1 click update from the interface, you will need to upgrade manually.
    Please read carefully:
We have tested this firmware but not as much as we would have done normally, reason being is we wanted to get this out to people to try without any further delay SO it is possible you could see issues as with any firmware update but it's looking pretty good so far.
This update does not fix every single issue that has been reported, it is possible that issues you may have that aren't covered in the change log have been resolved but if its not been mentioned don't expect it to be fixed.
Please do not report issues you already have that haven't been fixed in this firmware, we know what the issues are and they're still being worked on. On the other hand if there is an issue you were having that has been fixed please do let us know as that helps just as much as reporting issues.
    TL:DR
Don't report issues that have already been reported and that haven't been mentioned in the change log Report whether issues mentioned in the change log and issues that haven't been mentioned have been fixed Report any new issues you've encountered after upgrading Changelog:
Improvements to stability of upgrade process (memory issue should be fixed) Improved performance during high bandwidth usage Fixed a bug when disabling multiple devices in Adblocker Added ability to select individual server in Ping Heatmap when servers are grouped together Improved reliability of Speed Test Reduced CPU usage of certain services that were causing ping spikes Various frontend styling fixes Firmware removed while we work to fix issues.

    Realistica
Realistically, you want as much overhead to be available so you can game but also stream and download without saturating your pipe to your home. Bufferbloat is different for everyone depending on a lot of things. Spectrum and Comcast in America are notorious for over provisioning their modems so people hit over their bandwidth amount and it strains the cabinet up the road. So if you are supposed to get 500 download and you get 600, set your speed as 500 and slide your controls till you don't get added latency. Rinse repeat for upload. This allows bandwidth to be managed with your available bandwidth without clogging your bandwidth pipe. Hope this helps

    Hi !
In the first case you risk having congestion (streaming/downloading at the same time as you play) and in the second no.

I would highly recommend downloading pingplotter onto a PC, then play games like you normally do on your console or PC and let it just run in the background. After a game or 2, check to see if you're getting packet loss or high latency spikes. Another thing worth noting is if your hops to a game server if you have the IP or just running to a external DNS like 8.8.8.8 are higher than normal, that could be an upstream router issue within your ISP. IF THIS IS THE CASE, stay on the line with them and have them give you a support email to send screen shots of the hop issues. I did this with my fiber company as recently, my connection has been GARBAGE. So I tested, and sure enough my 2nd and 3rd hop from my network were OVER 125ms, thus, my shots don't register correctly. They are now having the NOC look into the issue and hopefully they get it fixed before the weekend. If your ISP doesn't listen, report them to the FCC or if outside the US, report them to whoever handles your Broadband and communications.

Chackall got a reaction from titofuenla in Brazilian servers: Couldn't Ping Server.
    Hi Fraser, how are you?
I had done the test using the PC as a Playstation and it didn't work.
Yesterday I saw another topic where a user gave the tip of setting the PC as a Games Console, I thought, it doesn't hurt to try.
I just made the change, tested it on a Brazilian server and voilà! The Steady Ping graph is appearing on 100% of servers now.
Here's a tip for anyone who has the same problem.
    Thanks.

    Hi, thanks for the response.
I had already tried changing the device type to Playstation and it didn't work.
I still tried switching to Xbox and the graph still doesn't show:

Even with the device enabled, it reports that it is stabilized, but the graph does not appear.
I just wanted the graph because I wanted to manually adjust Steady Ping to do some tests.
This problem only happens on Brazilian servers, on servers in Argentina, Chile and the USA the graph appears normally.
There's probably some kind of block on the servers here.

Please do try the above, other than that we are working on Geo-Filter improvements still.

    You have test 4 Routers?
Have you a bad routing / peering from your isp?
You can see it on Pingplotter i think.
You can see the Server IP in the R3 and can run ping plotter.

And the bad Gameplay is a lot of from Cheater an no recoil scripts.
The Ping or Paketloss and Hit detection is very strange, sometimes.

You can test your side of Gameplay and dont forget. A Lot auf Cheater... 😔

That'll just be on Heatmap, I can get the team to do an update for that next week. If they are there you should still be able to force them using the Geo-Filter.

Yeah sure no problem it’s kinda the same as others on the forum but I just tweak mine turn on and off ping assist and just go with the flow and test different areas within geo filter but it’s

1.Latency of (ur own choice  see what works for your self  )

2.No ping assist ( sometimes it works and don’t but think that’s the server it self I tweak mine on and of to see  )

    3.strict mode enabled

4.geo filter circle set to 300 - 428 miles ( depends on closest server to you  )
    5. Smart boost for console
    6. Bandwidth resovation is 20mb up and down for Xbox console

Thank you for your feedback and your speed in responding.
I was talking to a friend who bought the R3, he told me that after it was shipped by DHL, he received the email. Then I felt calmer.
I will still send an email as stated just for the record.
Thank you very much and happy new year to you.
