Netduma Liam reacted to Netduma Fraser in Duma supported Router ?
The Netduma R2 has been released, we're just accepting pre-orders at the moment as we ran out of stock due to high demand. New stock will arrive in early February and then we'll ship them out to those that have pre-ordered.
There are currently no NPG routers that contain ALL the features we have created:
XR300 - Does not have 3.0 features currently XR450 - 3.0 beta XR500 - 3.0 beta XR700 - 3.0 beta XR1000 - 3.0 full release Even though the 1000 comes with 3.0 pre-installed it doesn't have features such as Adblocker. Any features not currently available may be included in the future. The R2 has all the features we've developed included.

Thanks for posting, I like your approach to this!
It's a good idea, but NAT doesn't quite work that way. Whether your NAT type is open, moderate or closed/strict, inbound traffic will always stop at the router where it will either work out where to send it or if it's just going to be dropped.
That being said, we have heard occasional reports that people are having a better experience playing on moderate NAT, whether that's coincidental or not I'm not sure.
Your second reason is correct in that a moderate NAT is limiting your options, but that won't have any affect on the skill level of your opponents.
Loving the thought you put into it though, great idea!

I had a play, so it may not be fully internet responsible... I still don't understand how I can set the top tab to 70% and have my PC at 70% of all internet yet be about 5th in the list of what devices are using.
BUT, I have my monitor plugged in with display port - I then have a HDMI to a capture card and then combined the screens using Nvidia Software - So my capture card was basically a separate screen.. But the screen was mirrored as such (IT looked like [1|2] rather than [ 1 ] [ 2 ]
I changed this back to single screen and unplugged the HDMI.. I havent been able to fully try it for long enough but it did FEEL SO MUCH BETTER... Ill keep you updated! =]

despues de realizar la configuracion, recuerde marcar la casilla que aparece en la parte inferior donde pone validar configuracion al salir, si no, no servira de nada la configuracion que puso. Si sigue sin poder acceder intente esta nueva configuracion manual;
direccion ip: 192.168.77.2
mascara subred: 255.255.255.0
puerta enlace: 192.168.77.1
marque la casilla de validar configuracion al salir y pulse aceptar

Mu mimo has nothing to do lan, wan or any type cabled connection and will make zero difference.
Mu Mimo requires beamforming, at least 2 supported client wireless devices to operate at the same time and at a range of close to medium.
There is zero you can do to process the information any quicker apart from moving to another router with more power and even then you will never notice the difference as we are mortals.

The Beta V220.127.116.11 solved my problem. My switch now shows up as a modem under WAN & the devices connected show up under LAN.
Confirmed by matching the IP.
You can close the topic. Thanks!
Netduma Liam reacted to GenMatrix in Router Becoming Unresponsive
I applied the old firmware and then upgraded it again and it seems to have resolved the issue of going nonresponsive.
I still went back to the XR500 because the Pi-Hole is much better system for AdBlock than what's cooked into the R2. I've observed the following:
Over the course of a day's worth of traffic, the R2 with a small block list (https://block.energized.pro/bluGo/formats/hosts.txt this file has 125K domains) blocked 75% of all DNS queries which is substantially more than my Pi-Hole with a much larger list (https://block.energized.pro/ultimate/formats/hosts.txt has 1.1M domains only blocking 12% with ads). I missed getting the exact values from the R2 but the Pi-Hole is sitting at 49,547 / 6,033 for a day. Not sure if there is some loop happening to inflate blocked traffic.. I'm no expert in this area.
R2 can't use block lists that are too large, seems like anything larger than 3MB will freak out the R2.
If I use the R2 with the Pi-Hole it seems to hold on to the DNS queries and once it reaches it's max of 150, it will no longer resolve any DNS calls. I'll see if message in the logs when it happens: Maximum number of concurrent DNS queries reached (max: 150). It will pop up a few more times before allow DNS queries to resolve again. Not sure if there's any ways to fix this that maybe I don't know about but after spending a day researching, I couldn't find any way to change the Pi-Hole or the R2 to resolve. There's a lot of things pointing to OpenWRT settings to resolve but of course those settings are not exposed in DumaOS.
Netduma Liam reacted to Kyusuke39 in COD CW(PC): How can I have the NAT type: "Open" while on a wireless connection?
Your welcome, I will do what you recommend after I get home.
I'll also try to add non-conflicting port forwarding rules to the PS4.
(TCP/UDP 3479, TCP 1935, UDP 3480)
Thanks, I'll post an update in a couple hours!
Note: Anyone else can give suggestions, just in case this doesn't solve my issue.
Netduma Liam got a reaction from Kyusuke39 in COD CW(PC): How can I have the NAT type: "Open" while on a wireless connection?
Thanks for posting and for the great details, that's really helpful!
Could you please try adding a couple more rules, one for 3075 and another for 3076 and re-run your tests?
Netduma Liam got a reaction from l2eactionz in Using sky MER setup
Welcome to the forum, thanks for ordering an R2!
Hopefully we've got some Sky and BT users who'll come across this as I'm currently with Virgin so I can't provide much input here.
Generally speaking though, the R2 should work great with both, there may just be some differing steps if you need to resolve any NAT issues etc.
Glad to hear you're aware of Geo-filter's features and what it can do for you too! See you in the Gulag

What game are you trying to play? Not always the closest or most optimal server is available to use, I give you an example; I play warzone, in Spain there is a server and although I try to force it, I cannot find any game in it or it takes a long time to do so (sometimes up to 10 min) with which I have to move to the next closest server, which in my case is France . I advise you to try to do that, try to expand the circle to the next closest server to you and try to see if it finds a game.

It is better. But I noticed I got 2k bandwidth every single time. No buffer. Could apply to wan be affecting the bandwidth? Also, I found TCP UDP1-65535 and 1-65535 was definently better. Hopefully netduma works on that apply to wan feature because it does work! Just needs a fine tuning
