  1. I don't get how this will help, I've been connected to people on my blocklist many times - matchmaking doesn't take your blocklist into consideration when looking for people
  2. Not sure where people get the idea you can do this with a router. For something like this to be possible it would be done by manipulating data via PC and ultimately resulting in a ban. If someone keeps reporting you just reply reporting you as well enjoy the shadowban and move on..
  3. This guy is just talking BS.. probably trying to get views. If a PC player is getting into a console only match, it's something they are doing via their PC and not the R2 🤣 In one of the previous cods I played with crossplay off all the time but when looking into the parties I'd occasionally come across, it would show the PC symbol next to a players name. These people could have been exploiting a bug to play with their friends or maybe it was just a visual bug. Crossplay off definitely works cause with it off I struggle to find matches. Once I switch it on I find one within a minute. In saying that I do see people in my matches aiming like they have KB&M but the game says their input device is a controller. Whether they're on PC or using a XIM, who knows. People will always find a way to cheat and it sucks that Activision takes their sweet time to hand out bans (..if they even do). Earlier today I saw an obvious wallhacker in regular 6v6 pre aiming behind cover, he was over level 1000 and iridescent in ranked / diamond in wz ranked - sucks that subtle cheaters like these are running rampant with crossplay on and it's the only thing stopping me from building a gaming PC
  4. My kd is above 3 I don't think I have issues vs the guys in pubs... but when they are sponging bullets even outgunning me when I count 4-5 hitmarkers within kill range I know for a fact the game's broken for me, it is the worst cod connection wise I have ever played. I honestly don't know how I managed to get my KD to above 3 from being negative the first month or two..
  5. They need to fix their game so people don't have to do what you're doing to have "fair" matches. If you're coming to Australia with 100ms+ ping you're only ruining the experience for the rest of us in the match, which is probably making others VPN to other countries ruining the experience for those and no ones having fun 😄
  6. I'm not against VPN's being used for their purpose but when people use them for gaming it messes up the experience for other people in the match. I have a dynamic IP so I'm not worried about getting ddos (do people still ddos people? I thought that only happened like over a decade ago) and I don't put myself in any position where I'd be a target for a ddos attack anyway. People are welcome to use it for anonymity on their home connection but for gaming? come on.. cod's code is trash as it is, when you have someone with an unstable vpn in there getting packetloss or high ping it makes unpredictable gunfights - often frustrating bullshit "i shot first!!" moments and who's getting the shit end of the stick? me with my low ping cause the game has to give these guys a "fair" chance at getting kills too due to their shitty connection
  7. I think they should ban anyone using a vpn. It's ruined the game, not because they're getting bot lobbies but cause it's messing up with the connection for those of us not using one. I feel like the matches I have that run fluidly are vs people with low ping but the rest where there's poor hit reg, getting shot around corners etc. are cause there's people vpn'ing, hot spotting, or stuck in the 90's with their 56k connection
  8. I honestly don't know how my KD is above 3, this is the worst running cod for me connection wise. Really crap people I've vs over the years seem to be untouchable but when I ask their stats, they have low KD and SPM, it's just something is happening with the connection where they are probably seeing me first and killing me and on my end i'm just getting hit markers if I can even get a shot off at them lol. I do get sweaty pro wannabes jumping around most matches but even the bots are made out to be pros due to the connection issues. I just want to relax and run around with a pistol but unless I'm using a nicely tuned gun, the potatoes I get on my team going 5-30 every match make it impossible for me to use anything other than a good gun.. Most people have good internet these days so I don't understand why they don't make ping king. Why do they have to balance the latency out each match, something which I think is buggy cause what else is causing the issues when my ping is a stable 5ms?
  9. That's BO4 yeah? I do recall it showing no ping when I was host as well. Some matches were definitely P2P.
  10. It's the game giving us shit hit reg, not crappy servers. I've partied up with 2 neighbours using the same ISP and they have good hit reg in the matches people are sponging my bullets. The server isn't crap, otherwise their hit reg would suck as well. Who knows what determines whether you get good hit reg. I used to think it's cause there's laggy players in the match and with my ping being around 6ms I get penalised, but these guys have the same ping. I've tested everything except their equipment lol there's nothing more I can do..
  11. Sounds like the guy that came on this forum once that had "optimised" pro player's networks. I think he was charging a couple hundred $$ lol. Maybe it was this guy
  12. I can think of 2 things. 1. when you launched the game and it does it's little bandwidth/latency reading your connection was being used to the point your ping was over 200ms or 2. when it launched for some reason it assessed your home server to somewhere far away which gave you a 200ms ping. Both have happened to me before (1. when i throttled too low and 2. i think geo filter bugged)
  13. In MW19 I had the best experience prioritising my games console and duma classified games at the same time. Back using the earlier firmware for the R2, before you could select apply to wan/normal etc. I haven't experienced a connection like that at all with any firmware since they introduced the other options. I've tried reverting back to all the older firmware but I couldn't get the congestion control/traffic prio page to load at all. I still need to find what settings work for me with the new firmware. Ps just realised this is an old post after typing all this
  14. I have a feeling the terrible hit reg is related to the qos used in dumaos. I've been playing around with different types on other routers and they give better hit reg I can't get with the R2. Would be nice to be able to choose different queue disciplines. It's just 1 line of code I type on one of my other routers so it's not like it's hard to implement. Maybe the R2 will run better with the next cod, I find it works good for one then not the next

possible to implement a capture for new accounts to prevent them signing up?
  16. Thanks Fraser. Followed all your steps except the router I'm currently trying to get this working with doesn't have the DMZ option. I did forward all ports 1-65535 source & destination to the IP address showing up in the R2's main page (the primary router has assigned the R2 192.168.1.221 but I access the R2 from it's own static IP which is 192.168.1.3. All ports forwarded for the 192.168.1.221 IP, tried all ports forwarded for 192.168.1.3 as well) The geo filter still doesn't work. It does show a ping assist server/player symbol in the US when I launch cod but other than that nothing pops up. Matchmaking still goes up to searching 200ms and eventually connects me to somewhere in Asia on 200-400 ping but if I use the R2 by itself it locks the searching on <15ms and always gives me a local aussie server. Setup is NTD to Router's WAN, Routers LAN to R2's WAN, Router's LAN to R2's LAN (to access interface), R2's LAN to Playstation DHCP disabled on R2. Playstation is getting its static IP from primary router but I also tested with DHCP on, no difference.
  17. I've never been able to get the R2 geo filter working while connected to another router. I have a fibre modem, called an NTD (network termination device), it's not a normal modem you can access to configure - it just provides the fibre signal. Scenarios I've tried: 1. - Router is 192.168.1.1 , R2 is 192.168.1.2 NTD to Router's WAN > Router's LAN to R2's WAN. Everything but my console connected to the Router. Console is connected to the R2. I can't access the R2 at all from my PC to even see if the geo filter is working but I know it's not because the game searches for up to 200ms matches. I've put 192.168.1.2 in the DMZ in my main router. I believe I've tried this with DHCP disabled and enabled on the R2. In this scenario I don't think my console could even connect online. If it should be able to, I can retry later when the internet isn't being used to confirm. 2. NTD to Router's WAN > Router's LAN to R2's LAN. Same device connections as scenario 1 but this time I can access the R2 from my PC and see nothing appearing on the geo filter so it doesn't work. 3. NTD to Router's WAN > Routers LAN1 and LAN2 to R2's LAN1 and WAN2 Same device connections as previous scenarios with the console the only device on the R2. Geo filter didn't work. Which scenario should be making the geo filter work and which one should definitely not so I can stop testing it? What are the correct settings to leave on/switch off in the R2 or Router? I recall reading once to put whatever IP is showing up in the R2's WAN on the main page into the DMZ on main router but last night when I was looking, it didn't have one. It did have an IP assigned to the "public IP" though which was strange, it was one from my ISP but it wasn't my actual IP when I checked whatismyip.com. I tried putting it into my main router's dmz but it didn't change anything. I've also tried assigning a static IP for the R2 in the main router and using that in the DMZ but I don't believe the geo filter worked. What am I doing wrong?
  18. Here I am thinking my 15 sensitivity was slow. I feel like I have no aim assist tbh, maybe you can feel it on the lower sensitivities only?
  19. Hey if it doesn't work for them then it mustn't work! I just played on 1500 for 5-6 games and each one was bad bullet reg - even the sound wasn't in sync with the bullets hitting, you could hear and feel a sight delay. Bullet sponges every match. Switched to 950 and bullet reg is a lot better, yes I'm getting insta melted when I get shot at but I'm also melting people if I shoot first. Just feels like I'm playing hardcore. I'd rather get insta melted than hit 5-6 hit markers only to get turned on. One issue that's common with the R2 is copping superbullets. It's like it prioritises enemy traffic, even with traffic prio off. When I've used older routers I can sometimes survive damage but with this it's always 1 bullet and you're dead
  20. Yep it doesn't make sense but we have no idea how the game handles the packets. It could be detecting an issue with your connection and compensating for it to give you a chance at playing the game. If I leave my MTU as 1500 with the R2, I immediately feel the game running worse than if I had it lowered. Atm I'm playing with 1125 and I've had some matches that I have never experienced with 1500. Could be placebo, maybe the servers are just running better these past 2 days for me, I don't know. When I switch to my openwrt router running the old script made for knomax, I have an even worse experience than any other router I've used. I've tested it when I have a good connection with the R2, thinking it's a day the servers are running good but this router makes everyone appear like they're a second ahead and sponge bullets (same experience with the R2 and 1500 MTU). How can I have great games for a couple hours then when I switch to a different router with optimised qos settings, it immediately makes people bullet sponges? It's obvious qos settings and MTU impact the game in my experience. I've tested for hours being connected directly to my fibre modem (so no router) and it gives me a crap experience but once I plug in the R2 with qos/mtu changed, the games experienced are completely different to just being connected to the modem. Not a single match in those hours played without a router felt like the one I'd have with the router. What i'm trying to say is router settings do make a difference, you just need to spend countless hours testing and finding what works for your specific connection if you want to enjoy this pos game
  21. The MTU needs to be changed in the router settings, not your console. I've always thought the MTU setting is bugged, cause why would it work that low in the router setting but not on the console setting? Also, when I've tried that low MTU on another router it goes nuts with errors. Not sure how the R2 is making it work somehow but hey if it works for you it then so be it. I tried your settings just then and it has never ran worse lol, I heard I was getting shot at from behind, I turned around and pre fired.. as the guy was appearing around the corner walking into my pre firing it wasn't even registering my first 2-3 bullets. I then counted 5 hitmarkers on him and I still died. Just need to keep experimenting until you find one that works for your connection. In vanguard I couldn't kill anything until I lowered my MTU, then it was like I was playing a different game. Lowering MTU on MW22 just gives me a bad experience. From what I've tested in the past with MTU settings, you need to find the right one with the right bandwidth combo e.g. 750 MTU might give me garbage experience with 25/5 but if I was to try 1/1 it could be a different story.
  22. I think that ping is from the post game screen as it's finishing up, I'm on ps4 and it shows 5ms after the game as well
  23. Yep no matter what I did I couldn't change the in-game bandwidth reading. Even changing my overall internet speed to something below 49152000 didn't work. I don't think it's a duma issue, I noticed it with one of my other routers as well I've connected and played matches with less.. I think it depends on the type of QoS used, I get different experiences with different queue disciplines. I know the dumaos use their own modified one, it seemed to work well in MW19 for me and has given me "a few" great matches in MW22 but I didn't have a single good connection in CW or Vanguard with it. I wish they gave us the option to try out different types of queue disciplines like other routers do, it would be te best router and it's not hard to do, I think they just don't want to overcomplicate it for people but the people that buy this router would be the type that would want more settings to test out. My goal is to have good hit rego, fair gun fights etc. atm my games feel like they're running like crap, people are seeing me a lot sooner than I see them, a lot of engagements start with me shooting first getting a bunch of hit markers then getting dropped instantly. I'm a decent player, my kd has been well over 3 most cods and I've been playing since mw2. I know what it feels like to have the game run how it should - that's what my goal is. Keeping my internet standard without any router tweaks doesn't help at all so I'm experimenting with all settings until the game "works". Different ISP's don't help, atm I'm with the best one in my country and I never have ping spikes. Only 1 server location in Aus so I can't force further ones.
  24. I've tried dropping it below 1Mbps it still reads 49152000 Kbps in-game. Tried everthing, hasn't changed. It used to change though
  25. For some reason i have no option to edit my comment so I'll post again. I tried really old firmware for the R2 but the QoS section wouldn't load no matter how many times I reset to factory. Tried a bunch of the old ones. Was hoping to use one of the ones before they added the Game/Voice apply to WAN options, cause that firmware gave me really good connection on MW19. Can't seem to get a good one on MW22.
