  1. I think if you can force a server to give you a ping between 50-70ms you should ok more often than not. Ever since I started paying attention to connection issues in cod, I found that I always struggled against people living in a city around 1000km away from our servers. I believe they get a 40-50 ping. MW19 was particularly bad against these people - I ended up running with a group from this city and the main guy had the type of connection where we'd be running together, see a few people, I'd shoot at one but he'd manage to somehow steal my kill after having killed the other person. It was like I was playing slightly in the past lol, the guy I shot at was probably already dead when I started shooting. I'd understand something like this happening if I was playing on an old TV where there's a delay but not on a gaming monitor..
  2. Couldn't get a good connection in the beta at all. Second weekend was slightly playable but the first I probably had a total of 5 matches if I combined all the partial matches I played, it was that bad. I'm in AU, we only have 1 datacentre here for cod which is in the same state as me. Can't force anything further away because it's completely unplayable. You guys in Europe are lucky having more options to test out. One thing I noticed playing around with the bandwidth allocation, the menu in game would read my full bandwidth no matter what I did. I tried only prioritising 30000-65535 udp to avoid the ports which would bypass the bandwidth check in previous titles but it didn't work this time. So maybe they are probing the connection another way to detect bandwidth or my R2 was just playing up.
  3. If they got rid of SBMM a lot more people would play and stick around like the old days IMO. My guess is the only players they are retaining now are the cod fans that play it every year no matter what and the lower skilled players with disposable cash/parents CC. Even though there's a lot less people playing than the older titles, they're still making enough money with keeping SBMM implemented. I think with MW19 they made more money thinking it was due to the SBMM but in reality the cods before that weren't great. If MW19 didn't have the SBMM it has, a lot more people would have played it resulting in more $$$ being spent I'm thinking one of the people in charge of keeping this system of SBMM/EOMM was sick of his kid getting destroyed every match crying his ass off, or they themselves are a snowflake and hated the abuse they'd cop in the pre-game lobbies after going 5-30. Remember when the devs would talk about stomping Christmas noobs? Since MW19 the only Christmas noobs I came across were sweats playing on new accounts hoping to get into noob lobbies lol. If they got rid of SBMM, brought back persistent lobbies so people can make friends/abuse each other etc. made OP killstreaks, kept quick scoping (..as annoying as it is) so many people would play and stick around. People having fun, talking about it a lot/spreading the word = more people buying it = more revenue There used to be midnight launches in my town but I don't remember the last one we had for cod. No one I've spoken to has showed any interest in it over the last few years, there's no hype here vs how it was back around MW2-BO2 days every person and their dog were talking about it. I don't know if it's my age but I haven't been hyped for a cod in years as well. I still play each one (thanks to gamesharing with a friend) but I don't get excited for it. When I play these days it's like I'm just playing mindlessly, in and out of matches thanks to the lobbies disbanding. I miss having close matches of domination and being able to vs the same people again trying to get them back, or having them talk shit then dropping a nuke having them leave etc. There's no social aspect anymore which is why so many people have just given up.
  4. Good player, always up against his parties of 2-5kd players. Has a crap connection (4g?) that fucks with your hit rego on him and he's on the good side of lag comp all the time. I'll never forget a sweaty ass match vs them on USS Texas, put 3-4 bullets into him close distance before he even shot at me. Then, I get another 3-4 hitmarkers on him and his health bar didn't even deplete. Magically ends up killing me and it shows his laggy character hover away.. not run.. hover!! lol
  5. Shooting peanuts. Dying in 1 frame. Worst running beta for me, barely played it it's so unbearable atm. Will wait until they polish this turd before playing it again
  6. I wonder if it's done on purpose or if this game is just a buggy mess?? They can't fix simple things so it wouldn't surprise me if this is all unintentional, they just don't know how to fix it! The slide cancel bug happens to me all the time. I don't think I've been able reset my tac sprint, ever lol. Last night the few games I managed to find were an absolute mess. When I did slide it felt like I was sliding at half the usual speed. Every killcam I watched looked like people were moving at 1.5x normal speed, even in-game I felt like I had a delay to when I could ADS/shoot etc. I had my traffic prio for my console, share excess on so it was getting plenty of bandwidth. Once I turned share excess off and throttled the bandwidth the few matches I had felt a little more normal. I switched to my other router later on and I don't know if it was just a coincidence but everything just felt more responsive eg I could burst at people and look away knowing I had shot enough bullets for the kill. I just wish I could get the geo filter working with it so I can force local matches
  7. From my experience it had kicked me out a lot while I was doing well too, enough to believe it was due to my performance but it also happened during a few games I was losing/going negative. I remember these games clearly cause I'm usually not going negative lol. Anyway, this didn't make sense to me as I was under the assumption it only happens when you're doing well too. There were people tearing it up in the lobby so maybe the snapshot error boots everyone when someone in the match doesn't belong. Strange that it hasn't been happening for a while now, probably months?
  8. Lol yeah I don't see people getting booted on purpose happening tbh. Also I got that server snapshot error a lot, I thought it was related to a lot of streaks active in the larger game modes. It also happened to me quite a few times in matches I was going negative and my team was losing by a lot.
  9. Didn't watch the entire video, just the beginning and skimmed through his pistol match.. is that meant to be a reverse boosted lobby or is he below average? I wouldn't stand a chance running a pistol in one of my matches. Maybe it's easier on a PC rocking 200 FPS, everyone looks like a bot? lol.. I do miss running pistols in older titles. Shame cod is losing its fun factor going down this route with sbmm/eomm. I think MW will also bomb if nothing changes
  10. I think it'll be a different story for me when I switch to PC. Just playing with higher FPS should be enough for it to feel fair, I feel like that's the biggest disadvantage I have atm cause I don't even think I get 60 FPS on my ps4 lol. I'm pretty much dead the moment a good PC player appears on my screen. Even trying to track them as they run doesn't work, it feels like their hitbox is ahead of their player model and my bullets don't hit. I don't think the game is intentionally applying some sort of delay on me, if anything it should be handicapping these guys all the time lol. I was watching some recordings earlier vs a ps5 player. Even when I'd shoot first and be on target, I wouldn't get a hitmarker with the first bullet, even at 120 fps their hitbox is off. Land 2 bullets then I drop dead before I can shoot the 3rd. Watch killcam I'm pretty much a sitting duck for a good 0.5-1s before he shoots at me "first" and kills me. Can't imagine how much of an easy time people running 200+ FPS are having, I bet it feels like they are vs bots that don't even react. I'll try the RB as a last resort if I still feel like there's some BS going on in MW22. The R2 gave me some crisp matches in MW19, nothing I could experience with any of my other routers. When these matches ran good even the hitmarkers felt like they sounded different, maybe because it was so responsive. This occasionally happens on vanguard too and it's in these matches I'm almost guaranteed to drop a v2
  11. This is pretty filthy. Hopefully Ace is able to gather enough data to replicate and expose them, will probably get blacklisted though lol
  12. When you refer to reverse boost, do you mean join session on a noob account? Too much effort for me, my other console is in another room I'd have to walk back and forth lol and I'd imagine those matches wouldn't be a challenge. I like vs good players ..if only my bullets registered on them *edit* Just saw your other post. If things continue like this I'll probably have to resort to it when I move to PC for MW22. Sucks that we have to do things like this to have an enjoyable game. I had to soldier through a mess of a session tonight with some mates, I had the lowest/stable ping of them all and I couldn't kill shit. I think I had 1 good connection match out of a 2.5 hour session. Dropped 90 kills one match, then the next vs a few of the same people I kept dying before I could ADS. It's obvious the games are rigged, I'm surprised ace or drift0r can't find any evidence..
  13. I've seen the god mode shield but it's usually on the same people every time I vs them and it's been happening before this anticheat system. If they've gone through the efforts of using a XIM or the other cheat devices around I'm sure they know how to mess with their connection. A few of these player's player models always seem to not be moving fluidly, kind of like they have a micro stutter and bullets don't register on them properly. If I ever come cross it in Vanguard I'll post a video up. I definitely think there is some manipulation happening during our matches, how many times have you had matches where everything's going smooth, your team is winning then all of a sudden you seem to be getting a lot of hitmarkers, the enemy is melting and you end up losing the match? It would happen a lot to me in cold war but I haven't noticed it much in Vanguard. Funny you mention the crippling against low skill players. This was very obvious in BO4, there were days when I'd vs the same people I would normally dance around/drop nukes on but all of a sudden they were MLG pros. Here I am, 3.5KD master prestige getting absolutely demolished by 0.5 - 0.6KD players. Couple days later, I'm back to winning all my gunfights against them.
  14. Agree with everything you said, I believe a lot of us are experiencing the same thing. I recall in one of the previous titles, nearly every match I'd find while queuing solo was terrible but when I'd join someone's party the matches they'd find felt smoother which lead me to believe whatever they're doing could be happening while searching for a match.. which would explain why it had been taking a while most of the time. I only started noticing things like the attachment scenario you mentioned since MW19. Sometimes I could beam people from across the map with an SMG, easily tracking and landing all my shots and other times it would kick all over the place with the same attachments. It was common to see people being able to outrun my bullets like their hitbox was slightly off their player model but when things "worked" my aim/bullets were stuck to the player. I still feel connection set up does play a part. How else do the same people feel quite a few frames ahead of you in every single cod? Surely they can't sprint out, ADS and shoot enough bullets faster then I can pull the trigger while already being ADS? Why do their character models always have a hitbox that doesn't feel where it should? How do they cop 4-5 bullets point blank, 3 of which landed before they even hit me with 1 bullet (I have recordings), then magically kill me? I don't think EOMM ever effects them, at least not when I'm vs them..
  15. I never thought of it that way. Spamming crouch at the start in older titles just meant your tea bagging the other person haha
  16. And they blame the decline in sales on releasing a new cod every year LOL. Surely they can't be this stupid? They've obviously been going the wrong direction with cod, the backlash they got with MW19 and SBMM/disbanding lobbies was huge but it fell on deaf ears. They stuck with it for the next 2 iterations and what happened?? Maybe they'll wake up after the next cod if this continues. Hopefully another studio releases a cod killer in the meantime and activision can ead
  17. Lol ignore him. He doesn't know what he's on about in most of his posts, they're embarrassing to read..
  18. With crossplay off I can't even find a game of domination during peak times on console. Not sure if this game is dead or due to SBMM the game just disregards matching me with normal people. It keeps searching until it finds 5kd players sponging bullets with their 4g connection. Not fun at all. Also I'm not sure how the servers are overseas atm but the ones in Aus are complete ass. Last few days I've had some give packetloss/connection interrupted/game session no longer available errors.
  19. It's nice when the game works once in a blue moon. Enjoy it while it lasts lol
  20. You can with other routers. I personally haven't noticed a change in ports, for me they're always in the 30000-42000 range on PS4. Different countries could use different ones though, I've seen people say they've seen other UDP ports but I haven't in CW. MW did use higher ports.
  21. I have experienced this a lot, first round of domination im doing great - hit reg is spot on then second round i'm shooting rubber bullets. I've also been on the other side though, nt being able to kill anything first round then second round coming back and dominating, hearing people rage in the killcam, saying they can't kill me etc
  22. Like I mentioned on the previous page when I looked at an old capture there were 3 TCP ports in use during my game, 1 of which was 443. The IP was from "akamai technologies" which is a CDN so in my case it looks like my ps4 was maybe checking for an update for one of my games or maybe even downloading one.. I personally wouldn't prioritise any tcp ports, especially 443 cause it's not gaming traffic.
  23. Looking through wireshark there is some tcp traffic during a game I captured which could explain your rule #5 working. Not sure what this could be as it was happening throughout the game, it wouldn't surprise me if it was sending data back for their SBMM bullshit who knows There were 3 IP's - demonware (port 60258), amazon (port 56935) and akamai technologies (port 443).
  24. It's strange cod is the only game where I get inconsistent connections but the good players I come across year after year always seem to dominate and be untouchable. They always have that connection edge where they can turn on people shooting them from behind and get the kill, people appear to be moving around slowly not reacting to them shooting etc. They obviously have some networking knowledge to be able to tweak their connection to give them this type of result year after year. Yes they are good players but how are they always on the "good side of lag comp?" If I owned a company that marketed routers to gamers (where the majority of people played cod) I would do everything I could to make the users of my device have the best experience possible gaming. I would offer different predefined tweaks within the settings (qos schedulers/disciplines/latency etc) letting users find what works best for them giving them an enjoyable gaming experience. I don't see this as cheating as these options are explorable with different firmware, people just don't have the knowledge to do it themselves.
