Connection benchmark ping under load
Netduma Fraser replied to theboywhowins's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Yes because QoS won't actually be active when you're testing, you need to test using Always, then you can switch back to Auto Enable once you've found a good percentage. Could you resync the heatmap cloud and see if it appears then please? -
XR1000 | Open NAT Type on Multiple Consoles?
Netduma Fraser replied to P4UL's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That's good progress! Maybe restart the one getting the error and double check the port forward rule for it as well -
Just as a potential solution, have a search online regarding the browser you're using and see if you can change the timeout value on that, it's possible the browser would be timing out before the interface would

No there isn't unfortunately, it should last a gaming session at the very least and then just click an option and it should stay signed in

XR1000 | Open NAT Type on Multiple Consoles?
Netduma Fraser replied to P4UL's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Set one console to open port 3074 and the other to open 3075. Power them both off, power on the 3074 console then power on the 3075 console, do they both get an Open NAT then? -
If you factory reset the router, then don't change anything after completing the wizard and just add your device and do the steps to add, do they appear then?

Hello, welcome to the forum! I'll add you to the list! -
Okay so there shouldn't be anything blocked at all when you add a friend, can you provide a screenshot of your Geo-Filter page please just so I can double check everything?
-
Is that server inside or outside your radius or does it have a white circle around it?
-
Is there any server active on the map when you're in the lobby with friends?
-
While connected via ethernet, disable WiFi radios entirely from WiFi settings, reboot the router from the interface, wait 2 minutes, access, enable WiFi, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes then see if it conncts and if it's more stable from then on.

Hey, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue. Could you disable the Adblocker on the R2 please and see if that resolves the issue?

If game servers appear then connections aren't being restricted or anything like that so I don't think it will be an issue on your side, when you invite them to a game with the Geo-Filter disabled do you see anything appear on the map at all, even if it is a server?
-
You would have to consult the Orbi manual regarding that but I don't see why they wouldn't work
-
Are normal game servers appearing when you're in a game playing?
-
They may have allow ping disabled on their routers as there isn't any other reason why they wouldn't appear
-
Your friends will not appear on the map unfortunately as they are on a different platform to you, it would be best to disable the filter, allow them to join then re-enable so you can filter.
-
Yes exactly, AP mode is all that would need to be changed on the Orbi, it will likely take away lots of settings that are no longer applicable
-
In theory you should be able to, modem > XR > Orbi, I'd suggest having the Orbi in AP mode if possible so the XR1000 can still control all devices

XR1000 | Open NAT Type on Multiple Consoles?
Netduma Fraser replied to P4UL's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Are you Geo-Filtering them both at the same time? NAT set to Open in WAN Settings should resolve any NAT issues. -
Are they playing on different platforms to you? If you disable it are they able to join and then you can re-enable it to filter?
-
Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC) Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then invite them one by one and see if it works better.
