If you could check at some point if the hard reset now works after the software reset that would be great. Good points, I'll make a note of them. In regards to the Geo-Filter capping devices, it's already very hard to distinguish which icons refer to which devices when added if they're all being used at the same time, we do have plans to have separate Geo-Filters to resolve this, not sure if that will hit the 700 or not (I don't think it's near ready for any platform). For AP and such, it shouldn't matter as the AP just acts as the bridge to the devices connected to it so they should receive the throttle percentage speed, is that not the case?

¿Por qué está pasando esto?
Netduma Fraser replied to LeGenD's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Lo pasé, resincronicé la nube en el Administrador de dispositivos y Geo-Filter y luego verifiqué nuevamente, por favor -
Not a bother at all, added!

Did you do a factory reset after the upgrade?
-
Do this straight away: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC) Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works better. That should mean that it knows you can't connect outside your radius and won't even try. Unless of course you are right and there are minimal options after it's determining your skill that day.

I mean the table there does seem to show the average speeds across the world still aren't that high so only a small amount of people would benefit, if a particular country made up the majority of our sales and had those kind of speeds readily available it would make sense but I don't think we're at that stage yet. Closest would be the XR700 but it's no longer made so would have to be bought second hand. Not ruling it out, just right now I don't think that's our focus, we generally let Netgear do the big hardware and we focus on the software.

Hey everyone, it's been a long time coming, I feel your pain, the wait is (basically) over! So we were planning to put the XR700 out today in Early Access, the mobile view you may have seen on the R2 requires the app to have that working on the 700 rather than a mobile web browser, as of now it's looking as though the app will be approved/go out on the respective app stores on Monday so we're holding off on the grand launch until then as without it you're missing a big part of what has gone into the update. HOWEVER, I know you guys have been waiting for a long time and so I wanted to at least give you something. So, if you absolutely cannot wait until Monday, please post below and I will PM you the firmware. Do keep in mind you'll be missing the updated mobile view which is a big part of it. I will like your post when I've sent you a PM with it.

Support will be coming, we're working on it at the moment and it will come to the 1000 shortly, the ports apparently for it are: TCP: 27015, 27036, 29998 UDP: 27015, 27031-27036, 29998 -
Okay great so it does work with the Geo-Filter, just looks like they don't have many servers to choose from.
-

Most likely a server misclassified as a peer, that happens especially for new games we may not have support for/that don't use common game servers. Probably a separate chat server being blocked or it's doing the chat via P2P using the server as a relay which is why it can't be seen and is blocked. If you force the central area can you get that 60 ping?

XR500 setup with Virgin Media Hub 3.0

That sounds like a good test to determine whether it's the sole cause, keep us posted! -

Netduma Fraser replied to endo2406's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Okay if you just leave it disabled does it still happen? -
On the web interface it's known as Auto Setup on the Congestion Control panel. A new app update will be out soon that should be more stable.

Geo-Filter not working (Call of Duty) XR1000
Netduma Fraser replied to JediK's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That looks fine, what game is it you're trying to play? What device/web browser are you using to access? -
Yes that's correct, I've given you Early Access so upgrade to that, do the same DHCP steps and see if it's more stable then: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/

Hybrid VPN Nord W/ Xbox Series X
Netduma Fraser replied to nowngamer's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
As long as it is added like this: It will be applying to the entire device. If you're using popular VPN providers those servers will be targeted for a ban over smaller less known providers. -
I'll chase it and see if we can get it added
-
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll add it to our list.
-
Good advice above as I haven't come across this game yet. What is your radius set to though? The screenshot above would indicate the server is outside your radius.
-
Hello, welcome to the forum! I can't see why it wouldn't work, I believe people have used mesh with it in the past successfully. We don't have any specific recommendations though.

Ahh glad to hear that. We'll need to update the cloud for Infinite, thanks for bringing it to our attention, we'll get that sorted. -
Check back tomorrow... 😉
