  1. Could you disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN, reboot the R3 and test the speeds again please? If they're higher then it's probable that IPv6 is causing reduced speeds, in which case we can look at improving that
  2. Take the Sky Hub out of the equation, hold the reset button on the back of the router for 30 seconds, release, wait 4 minutes then access. When you get to the internet section in the Setup do advanced and enter PPPoE there (I don't recall if it has VLAN there or not but if it does enter it), if you enter all that hopefully you'll have internet, if not complete the wizard and enter if in network settings. You should be able to have internet and access all the time now. Let us know how you get on.
  3. Yes it was but I believe they've done some other sessions and for the most part identified/reproduced all the issues and will be looking into them.
  4. Il firmware che non è disponibile corregge alcuni bug molto specifici che sembra tu non stia riscontrando. Posso inviartelo comunque se desideri? It's cutting it very fine to be honest as it would ship tomorrow and then it's 1-2 working day delivery generally and that's when it isn't the holiday season! It's possible DHL may be making deliveries at the weekend but if you were to order it I'd expect after Xmas if I were you.
  5. I'll respond in your topic today What about Congestion Control? As that is the main feature that will help with this. You should have the firmware that fixes Fortnite now
  6. You've clicked on Nighthawk on that page click the < icon to see devices, is it listed?
  7. Okay so it's fully filtering based on your radius now?
  8. Thank you for your feedback, for the ping test/optimizer we're aware it's not 100% reliable at the moment, we're working on improving that, best to adjust Congestion Control manually instead from Ping Optimizer > Advanced. Geo-Latency is different to auto ping, auto ping wouldn't interfere with anything, it just pings the host automatically. Geo-Latency is a ping based filtering method which is why you're able to filter games that you wouldn't have been able to originally. Your console should be added as a console without selecting a game, it's likely that in the Device Manager it's shown as a different device, click it and edit the picture to be an Xbox and then re-add it to the Geo-Filter and it'll work. Ping Optimizer is auto adjusting Congestion Control essentially and works network wide, are you referring to Steady Ping? It can be helpful for any servers that have fluctuation which would be most servers so play around with it, see if you get better games with it on/off. I'll send you a firmware that'll fix the Fortnite issue. I'll pass on feedback about frostbite thank you.
  9. I have sent you the firmware I believe That's great to hear, glad the issues are resolved!
  10. Try setting the PC as a console in Device Manager instead then re-adding it to the Geo-Filter, does it work better then? Disable Geo-Latency on the Geo-Filter, make your settings changes then reboot the router/devices and then see whether it adheres to your settings more
  12. We're aware Ping Optimizer isn't 100% reliable at the moment and are working on improving that currently. Congestion Control should only be greyed out if you have disabled SmartBOOST entirely but if you can't see it that's probably why it is greyed out, was there anything you changed/did prior to it disappearing? A reboot should resolve it, then you can use Congestion Control to get your ping under control. You can adjust reserved IPs, click on the device you added and then you can change the IP there.
  13. Geo-Latency is essentially a way of filtering servers by ping, everything outside your radius will have a high ping, thereby forcing servers within your radius instead. We have identified some issues with it that will be fixed. With it disabled it will be like the original version of the Geo-Filter that works by allowing everything inside the radius (location based) and exclude everything outside. The Geo-Filter will be active if you have a device added that has filtering enabled.
  14. For Ping Optimizer we're aware it's not 100% reliable at the moment, we know the cause and are working on a fix, in the meantime if it's not providing the results you want it would be best to utilize Congestion Control manually. When there is an update available for the router it will appear in the bottom left of the interface as a green icon, you'll be able to click on this, see what the firmware includes and then upgrade it from there.
  15. You may be limited on speed using PPPoE though we are looking at improving this so if you have very fast speeds I would suggest using the DMZ option for the moment
  16. Great to hear that, thank you for confirming!
  17. I have sent you a private message with the firmware that fixes this It's possible the file was corrupted when downloading, delete it from your PC then download it again and attempt the upgrade again please
  18. Glad it's working again, I have passed it onto the team so we'll be taking a look at that issue.
  19. It would be best to set it in bridge for the R3 yes. You don't need to do the DMZ on either router if you're using bridge mode. I think that's all you need to know, just make sure you complete the Setup Wizard - you won't get internet until you've done this. Any questions/issues let us know!
  20. In theory yes that is the way it works, the DMZ bypasses everything and passes all traffic through to the device into it, so you can't tell it to do that but then also tell it to make traffic go elsewhere if you see what I mean. We should make this error more user friendly though so I will pass that on thank you. Re port forwarding, just do it for the one console, the second one that will use 3075 and boot that up second, without a rule for the first console, does it work then? Might be best to reboot the router after doing this
  21. Okay that's really strange, please do let us know if it happens again and if it does see if there is anything you may have changed/done prior to it happening and let us know. Also then get the logs from Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced > System Logs
  22. I've sent you a PM with firmware, install that then do a factory reset after just to ensure no issues carry over, that should resolve the console/geo issue. When a device is added to the Geo-Filter you can click on it to remove/delete it or to disable filtering on it while still keeping it added.
  23. The XR500 can be setup in AP mode behind the R3 which will disable DumaOS and any routing functions, just allowing for WiFi to be used, every device will be seen by the R3. For the R3 WiFi Split the bands, give 2.4/5GHz different names and apply - you'll want to connect to 5GHz specifically for speeds Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _ Doing that should improve it. We'll also be taking a look at all the WiFi feedback and work on improving it. If you wish to return please email [email protected]
  24. Where are you testing bufferbloat? What bufferbloat results are you getting? How did you setup Congestion Control exactly? For Ping Optimizer we're aware it's not 100% reliable at the moment, it's something we're working on to improve, there isn't a way to force the server it uses unfortunately but I can add that to the request list. I'd focus on setting CC manually for the moment.
  25. Totally understand your thoughts on this, some things to keep in mind: As a support forum, you will only see issues here The percentage of people posting vs those who have a router is low It's completely new hardware and completely new software, even for those who have had the previous DumaOS versions/routers it's quite different so there will be more posts than normal Opening up the product to loads of people in different countries, playing different games with different setups there are bound to be issues that crop up that were just not possible to find during beta It's been about a week since launch, we've already got around 3 firmware updates available though not all are publicly available at the moment but at least one is From the above you may be able to gather that we're able to get firmware out faster than ever before We've catalogued pretty much every issue I think by this point and reproduced many of them. Over the coming weeks/months you should see a lot of bug fixes being provided and so will become more stable
