  1. No, Heatmap just pings servers that's all. We're looking into merging the Geo and Heatmap together but would take some time
  2. Yes you can install without a reset. That has been requested so we'll look into implementing it
  3. You don't need to factory reset after but can if you wish
  4. If you use another browser does it load correctly then?
  5. Fortnite can be used with the Geo-Filter now due to Geo-Latency and should be effective as there are usually a few servers within each region. I have sent you a firmware that will provide improvements for the Geo-Filter before you check it again. SmartBOOST isn't for bufferbloat, it prioritizes and allocates bandwidth based on needs/the priorities you have set. If you want to eliminate bufferbloat you'll need to adjust Congestion Control as you did with the R2, you can find this in Ping Optimizer > Advanced.
  6. Have you split the bands then so 2.4/5GHz should be appearing separately? I've sent you a PM, upgrade to that, once complete factory reset from settings > troubleshooting and see if it is more stable then please
  7. I've sent you a PM with firmware that has Geo-Filter improvements, let us know if that helps at all. We're aware of Steady Ping not saving the state through a reboot and will resolve that. Have you disabled SmartBOOST entirely? If so that will be why I've sent you a private message with firmware also
  8. I've sent you a PM with firmware that has Geo-Filter improvements, let us know if that helps at all. Are you having this issue on the R3?
  9. Ah, this forum is for routers with our software DumaOS installed on them and that's what we help people with. It's not a general support forum. You're welcome to see if anyone can help with your issue but it may be best to have a look elsewhere as you may find better answers
  10. Ah, I think I may know the reason, Speed Test Bypass may not work with that site, could you use speedtest.net instead (we know this definitely works) and see whether you then get the full speeds as expected with SmartBOOST enabled?
  11. Sorry for the late reply. You mentioned PPPoE, is this something you're seeing over DHCP as well? Are ALL devices connected to the R3? Do you have anything in the DMZ on the R3? Have you prioritized devices rather than activities? Have you made any Traffic Rules? I've sent you a firmware which has some Geo-Filter improvements, see if that helps at all
  12. CoD should definitely be showing correctly on SmartBOOST, it's likely a normal reboot would get that showing again
  13. Okay that's good to hear, do keep us updated. The ping being higher is probably Steady Ping, we released a video recently on why it does this and how it works but you can disable it.
  14. Yes if it's just one device it won't matter as much
  15. Go to chrome://settings/system in the web browser and make sure Hardware acceleration is enabled, does that fix the issue?
  16. I think it is on this version, I don't have one to hand though to double check. It's up to Netgear for official releases so I couldn't say
  17. Ahh that's probably it the forcing of HTTPS, if you're entering HTTP and it's still going to HTTPS then your browser will be forcing that, in which case if you disable it for the interface specifically in the browser I suspect that will resolve the issues. It won't work well with HTTPS
  18. 5ms is around what you could receive playing on LAN so the server would have to be very close to you for that to be accurate but if so, you're very lucky!
  19. Are you connected via WiFi to the R3 or via ethernet on the R3 as you shouldn't have internet without completing the setup wizard. How is the R3 connected to your modem exactly?
  20. I don't have an XR500 to hand but I believe it does so do upgrade and let us know if that resolves it for you.
