Ping Heatmap Issue on XR700 Duma 3.0 Router
Netduma Fraser replied to melaniewalker's topic in Community Discussion
Can you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing please? -
What is your uptime currently? If you come off the interface for a few minutes then check again has it come down?
-
What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode
-
This is something we'll be testing yes. It's likely it'll already work if you add your phone with the CoD service/change the phone to a PlayStation in Device Manager then add it
-
If you can provide a screenshot of what you see when that happens please that'll tell us more

No not in this one. It's a nice idea but people would definitely submit non bug issues, easier to curate on the forum and then pass it on to the team manually, I'll collect what I can and they'll ask for more info if needed. Thanks! There aren't any full proof workarounds we know of at the moment. Disabling IPv6 in LAN/WAN and disabling SmartBOOST entirely can help in some cases.

No it's more for me to see what ping the router might be taking into consideration, it's something I've raised with the team. I think the Geo ping is reading too high as the ping has timed out but the in game ping won't actually be as high so it won't be as bad as the Geo makes out

The logs show the backend processes and what is happening, it may not appear as an error necessarily or look like anything is wrong to you but would mean something to the devs. Always worth posting them just in case.

We are aware Ping Optimizer/Speed Test isn't 100% reliable at the moment and it's something the team are working on. Those features can still work, it just may not be every time. In the meantime best to adjust Congestion Control manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced.

So when you're in a game the Games Console rule isn't lighting up/showing any traffic at all? Are you playing through Steam or Battle.net?- 10 replies

What's the trouble exactly? Can you provide a screenshot of your Geo-Filter page please? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode -
How do you factory reset without bugs?
Netduma Fraser replied to SamT98's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I said it was in testing currently, we've fixed the issues (we believe) but they haven't been confirmed fixed yet so that's what we're doing currently. No point releasing a firmware with promised fixes unless it actually does. We don't conduct firmware testing with influencers -
If you email us we can give you a confirmation [email protected]

You can put the console in the DMZ and that'll be an easy way to get an Open NAT
-
Okay so not the app specifically, hopefully will be resolved in this next firmware
