R3 Best settings for call of duty bo6 on pc?
Netduma Fraser replied to fletcherjames1's topic in Netduma R3 Support
It will be different for everyone, the best thing to do is experiment with the settings and play games, monitor how it feels with this setting set in this specific way and adjust from there. The simple answer though really is as always, Geo-Filter to get the closest servers to you - Congestion Control at a level that eliminates any lag caused by all devices on the network being used. SmartBOOST prioritizing what you care about. -
Input the speed manually. Congestion Control on 100% isn't active, set to 70% at least and continue. SmartBOOST is set how exactly? You have a very good ping. The connection to the server has to be severed, if you deny one then restart the game or wait a few minutes before searching again and you won't play on it again. Do note there are multiple servers clustered in a single location, it does not block the location just a singular server in that location.

No worries at all! I'd say if its not broken don't fix it, you've got it to a place that's working well for you, no need to risk it

Traffic Prioritisation Selector Missing COD
Netduma Fraser replied to Mr MuRFiE's topic in Telstra Internet Optimiser support
If you resync the cloud/reboot the router and check again do you see it? I'm checking with the team in the meantime -
What do you get on the inbuilt speed test on the router? What do you get from a wired PC and a WiFi enabled device? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Cant login and setup router
Netduma Fraser replied to Dominik Grabowski's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
I've given you access to the XR1000 beta, so you can try that - please read the first post of the firmware topic carefully before proceeding https://forum.netduma.com/forum/153-xr1000-beta-forum/ -
Good answer above - if you're not noticing an issue alongside the log you can ignore it
-
No you don't need to do that, you have a connection and all seems to be working well there!

That's great to hear, thanks for the update! In some cases ISPs need to be informed when you use new equipment, why I have no idea, seems like a colossal waste of everyone's time but the MAC address change can bypass it because they've already approved the Asus - to them you're still using the Asus.

Your router has been rebooting when loading up the game? Could you see if you can get the log after the reboot incase it saves please?
-
Those are good pings so I don't think Congestion Control is a problem. Force a server slightly further away, even if the ping is a bit higher and see if it performs any better.

WiFi blocking RCS messaging on IPhone
Netduma Fraser replied to Kujo's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Could you try port 5223 instead please someone else mentioned that worked for them -
Scroll up the bottom part of the screen and then click the device and you should be able to delete it

Xr500 geo filter unable to add device
Netduma Fraser replied to Vipeeeer's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
The tour is either because you've cleared your cache/cookies or you're using a bookmark/loading the URL which includes the tour in it - if you use one of these URLs does that stop the tour http://routerlogin.net or http://192.168.1.1 Do you have an Anti-virus/firewall installed on your PC? If so it could be blocking commands on the interface, either disable it then check or add the URLS as trusted sites and then check please. A browser based Adblocker could also be blocking it. Did you delete a device that was added to the Geo-Filter at the time by any chance? -
Well in terms of the reason for the recent rumblings that's because an ETA was provided by a colleague prior to Xmas and inevitably it was too ambitious and was missed, then because it was missed and it was the holidays there was going to be a few weeks delay at least and people were frustrated by that. This always happens when an ETA is provided and it's why I never give one, just in this case it was out of my control. The thing with networking is there are so many variables - it connects every internet capable device in your household, there are so many electronics out there and infinite combinations you could have of them. It's entirely possible that there are device combinations that are resulting in a weird incompatibility. There are loads of internet providers out there with different methods to connect, different line qualities, frequency of their public IP changing, games being played etc. It is almost inevitable that there will be issues because someone somewhere is using a device or service or ISP etc that we've never heard of or does something in some odd way we can't predict. I'm not saying that explains everything, just that it's something to keep in mind. I don't have the kinds of issues being reported either, some more niche issues I can reproduce and some I can't - considering I have/had one of the ones prior to launch it's unlikely to be a hardware issue. Some I'm sure will be user errors as well, I can and have gone through every possible setting/situation on the router only to find out that they have the cable unplugged or put into the wrong port or something else they haven't said/explained. You have to assume a certain number of things are true otherwise I'd end up having to guide everyone the very first step but that's not always the case.

If QoS is working correctly i.e. there percentages you set are then the speeds you receive from a speedtest then 1a will be the best setup, if not then 2b.
-
What is your Congestion Control set to? What are both your pings as shown by the Geo-Filter/in game?

XBOX Disconnecting in middle of games
Netduma Fraser replied to nowngamer's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Unfortunately there was only 3 minutes worth of logs in that one so it's not covering it -
In terms of the Geo-Filter it can work with your existing setup, if you want QoS to be properly effective though then it would need to be at the top of the network so it can have everything connected to it. In terms of specs the R3 is no match for that one so I suspect you'd probably want to keep it at the top.
