kinel
I just recently starting to try vpn on call of duty games So i wanted to find out as mutch as possible about it What i would like to find out and what lve learned so far All info welcome As theres not a lot info about it On my ps5 this was I was using hidemyass If i wanted the game to think that i was in thecity i vpn it would only work it imy ps5 recognied it Doing a ps5 speed test would let you know if it recognied it by showing in ps5 tese it logged into 'sn network If it fails to recognise it in ps5 buy s/ying failed to connect in speed test It wont show your location in game This was with geo filter turned off Another indicator is on youtube the ads are in the regions you chose It is possible to et an open nat in game on ps5 on vangaurd For me if the internal ip is 3074 and external ip adress is port 3074 then i get an open nat from my testing so farif the external ip adress had difrent ports than 3074 it was a moderate nat I think i now know how to make the game think im in a city and play games around that area With no geo turned on I had a few games where i had geo turned on to london it was set And the game thought i was in italy And my ingame ping increaded to anout 78 ms around But on the dumar it would show my ping was only 8ms so the geo ping wasnt showing the adddd delay Can sombody explain why this is Most times tried this method it wasnt findind the data centres so i couldnt connect or find games What i wanna beable to do is set my location to eg london always and play in london to but the game thinks im in austrilia eg Ive done this before but i dont know how i did it I had my geo set to london and i played in london but my vpn is set to austrlia eg so ingame it shows im in aus But ingame the ping was still normal around 18ms so there wasnt a delay at all I dont like this method so far from my testing The reason i wanna keep my geo se t local is when i play with friends and family i dont wanna make them experience lag from me forcing a further away location If i wanted to do this i could easily do this on my dumaros already and ii dont want to effect my freinds I seen sombody here say they use port 443tco source 1 to 65535 destination tcp why do they chose 443tcp my understanding 443 was for the use of http or https Could sombody post a list of the cod server locations or the psn ser locations I think this might be helpful when trying to find out where to set your vpn to match the servers As my vpn has loads of location i have no clue if it near a cod server or psn server Somthing else i noticed when i ran the speed test in ps5 it would show me the psn server in that location if the speed test recognised it then i would allow it I think this might be really important in trying yo get the ps5 to think im in that location and play somwhere else
K0NSPIRACY
Why are you always asking about these kind of things instead of just playing on your regional servers with geo filter to prevent higher pings? Are you trying to circumvent SBMM? N3CR0
Sgt-Greco
Do not bother OP. Trust me. Trying to manipulate your connection is a waste of time and hard earned money. Turn off Crossplay if you are on console and put hours in the game you are interested in to get better. You will have good games and bad games. That's it. Fuzy
I came to think that it would also be more pleasant to switch from xbox to PS to avoid the cross-platform on COD or a cross-platform console only. On Xbox war zone does not work without cross-platform, it seems to me! if you could edit your post by removing the name of the pseudo cheat site, that is appreciated! @Sgt-Greco

Fuzy
Anyway with or "without sbmm" on this game, either with sbmm you find lobbies that sweat more fun, or "without sbmm", lobbies with plots in the corners that use machine guns. Believe me there is more middle ground in multiplayer! The only thing you can do at this point is find the server closest to you and remove the cross-platform! The last solution would be just for you to go back to old CODs that don't have SBMM! Because nothing will change on the next ones. Moneymoney!!!!! N3CR0
My experience with Warzone and VPN's wasn't a good one. Firstly, it still put me in lobbies with folk way better than me... secondly it made the connection crap. Plenty of times I'd shoot someone who has only just flown in (so hardly any health) and put 10+ shots into them and not make a dent in their health bar. Like others above have said, stop trying to manipulate things and just play the game. After all, isn't that why we have games right? To play them? Not spend lots of time messing with router settings, headset settings etc.

Some TV does have "some" added input delay with HDR. For example, few years ago. John did a video showcasing the input delay with HDR on and OFF with his current setup at that time with his monitor. There is some input delay but it's not major, but if you want some competitive edge or you're just nit-picky about your input delay then then you turn it off but it's still minor. Another user on YouTube showed that HDCP does add a little bit of input delay but, same as John, it's minor. Some TVs/Monitors does have their own input delay. Currently, as far as TV's OLEDs seem to give the least amount delay also utilizing HDMI 2.1 for next-gen, helps with this somewhat. As @N3CR0 pointed out, trying to manipulate your connection or find some way mitigate SBMM is going to yield undesirable results and time trying to find such results. It's a 'feature' of the game that has been implemented. You can visit rtings.com to check out various TVs and Monitors input delay if you don't have a monitor device on hand to do it manually for your display to get a general idea of what input lag you may have. Here's a few sources to assist you. You've spent years and still don't have the answer. I also spent years trying to get CoD to work and gave up. If you think you're gameplays are gonna end up like the YT'bers / Twitch streamers / Pros then you'll be trying for the rest of your gaming life my dude. I also recommend the site Tray mentioned. Its thanks to that site that I made the decision on what monitor to buy as there was several I was looking at.

A game simply isn’t worth the stress it seems to be causing you, so if it’s no longer fun for you then stop doing it. You also have to put things in to perspective…there are literally millions of ppl playing COD on much worse hardware and connection set ups than yours, and the overwhelming majority just get on with it and play regardless of any lag/latency/delay issues…most of them won’t even know these issues exist let alone try to do anything about it. And with that being the case, there is literally nothing that you can do to achieve the perfect connection all of the time because all things are not equal in online gaming due to the variety of hardware and connections to the game. If you’ve done the best you can to minimise any disadvantage in terms of hardware and connection, then the only guaranteed way to deal with it if you don’t like it is either don’t play or adjust your play style accordingly. Ultimately, just try to enjoy playing the game…and when you don’t enjoy it any longer, then stop. N3CR0
kinel
Anyways thanks for your advice Every year i quit cod and say i will never play it again or buty it again and i always end up buying it and quit after a few months Thank you @@trayday for the helpfull links Sett the most frustrating part is i know how playing cod mw2 original and bo1 play on my old line that i thought was optimized but wasnt and the game played ok my average kd was around 10 kills 3deathd my kd ratio was about 1.8 But i found out about fastpath profile aka interleaved off My kills per game was 27 kills to 2 deaths every game I would win nearly every ffa game on my optimized line This was on a 9db line I even used to to try difrent profiles 6b and 12db thinking they might be better But sadly they performed badly my kills droped to how it peformed before fastpath was enabled I would love to be able to redreate that old fastpath godlike line but far as i know it was a adsl thing Plust i created a thread ttying to find out how to do this but sadly i never found out how too Here is somthing i did notice that helped me in the last few daysmy hit detection has always been good since using my port ranges But i was always a sec behind But since i used a new port range im not feeling the lag comp effect as mutch i wasnt feeling a sec behind This was playing in a 17ms ingame ping with hdcp turned off on vanguard Ive seen from my testing over the years that the cod games were using these ports but i thought it was for data centre info But from my testing last few nights its seems its using these ports a lot of data is being used If anyones intreseted in trying it our for them selves the ports are Source 1 -65535 destination 443 -443 tcp Theses ranges seem to play betrer when i used cross play from my testing and i hate cross play Im guessing is because people say consoles use mainly udp But becaue it a pc server we play on it probally use tcp is my guess TrayDay

He uses the LG C1 and has extensively and continues to experiment and provide results with his findings regarding HDR, input lag, and visual clarity/accuracy in calibration. Although, I don't have a LG C1 but a LG CX. his information still holds up and especially in your case since you're using the same Tv. Well, I think he also recently got the C2. But still the "C" Series all use somewhat the same panels with a few tweaks here and there. Also, I sometimes utilize BFI for smoothing out motion blur similar to ULMB, LightBoost, DyAc, ELMB, etc. This is just LG's name for it. It does add some input lag depending on the settings used but it does smooth out the motion I've noticed when playing FPS games. But at the cost of brightness as well input lag of course. I would constantly switch between HIGH or OFF depending on what I'm playing either competitively or casually. It's something to get used to but it's no Motion Interpolation where input lag is abysmal. I ONLY use Motion Interpolation for single player games like Elden Ring and what seems to be a MUST for Gotham Knights 30 FPS ONLY. As a placebo effect that I do is sometimes I would lower the resolution of the TV to 720p/1080p as it's not much but input lag seems to be a .1-.2ms input lag difference. Where I would also disable HDR/VRR as well, while using Game Mode. But again, this is all placebo. You can experiment and see what results you may get. My reasoning for giving this a try is because of the results Rtings acquired in their findings and there is a difference in input lag between resolutions on LG CX as shown below. Just some ideas to try. I will add that, using HDR/VRR adds a bit more visual clarity due to color palette and VRR sometimes add just a hair bit of clarity but it's more of a eye of beholder kind of thing. Another thing I would like to add is regarding HDR on consoles. HDR or HD texture packs similar to playing LOW GRAPHIC Settings on PC sometimes can help in certain situations. Again, more placebo but some says it helps in their situations. It's all personal preference, regarding this. Below is youtube of PLasma and input lag input mentioned earlier. I mean, he does have a nice 3080 card so why not right? Yes, you're correct. ST2084 basically converts SDR to HDR, or "ALWAYS ON HDR" in a sense on the OLED/LG. It does make the game more vibrant in colors, although, it's not true HDR it's still make the colors pop more due to giving more luminescence. I've used it a few times in trying to compare input lag with PS5 settings of HDR OFF, VRR OFF, and ALLM off. As I would also test using Motion Pro and TruMotion. As, if I'm not mistaken, PS5 can't use TruMotion without disabling ALLM from a previous PS5 Firmware update. If you enjoy the effect and vibrant colors of st2084. Keep it enabled. As some will argue of the accuracy of the colors, being to oversaturated for HDR etc etc. I don't believe there's any drawbacks other than MAYBE still images like logos, HUDS, minimaps etc being a problem if the screen doesn't change often. But again, it's a maybe. kinel

TODDzillaInLA
For MW2 and WZ2 you can disable cross play on xbox. you have to do it under system settings not in game. and it sounds like @kinel wants those super bot lobbies where the enemy just touched a controller for the first time. its easier to find those lobbies with cross play on going against ps and pc players but after a game or two how fun is that going to be when a enemy is not shooting back? 90% of the community trying to vpn looking for bot lobbies are the actual bots. all these streamers basically brain washed you into thinking your going to find these easy lobbies but what they wanted was you with that 1.5 to negative kd all in the same reign all on the same sever all the gold fish in one pond.
