I did that already, changed it to 168 like you have said before. Bellow is an extract of the current log of the modem. You can see that the lease issue happens on the WAN side as the public IP address is the one being cycled in those leases renews. This is why I keep loosing internet. The problem doesn't seem to be related between my devices and the R2, but between the R2 and the operator modem/router.

I have 4 ports on my operator equipment, one of them needs to be connected to the TV box, but I can use bridge mode on all of the other 3; I have an old Mikrotik RB940 router board which I lent to a friend (because of funny feature that allows to increase TX power on wifi beyond legal limits). I am going to pick it up this weekend and get the R2 and the RB940 using bridge mode. I will monitor the 3 IP's on a 10 second ICMP probe by NAGIOS or ICINGA. 1 public IP from my operator device, 1 public IP from the RB940 and 1 public IP from the R2.. If you share me an email address I can even send you the service fails emails to you in duplicate, so you can see by yourself and take the conclusions you need to take...

Probably the easiest thing to do then would be to take it out of bridge mode, assign a static IP to the R2 and then the ISP modem/router will handle the lease and that may be better.

Hello and thank you for the welcome! I just started using the R2 as of two days ago. The first few hours of using it was fine. I have 1000 down/40 up plan and have to use wifi for my set up.

Yesterday I was actually losing connection to internet. The morning I have stayed connect but internet has been "dropping" to basically 0 speed usually after 3 minutes of use and this is across multiple devices. Phone/Computer/ps4

Sorry for the slow response! I have been playing with things, so far I have changed channels on both my 2.4gh and 5gh and my connection is slower but my connection is is more stable!

Any help to get to fast and stable?

Is your ISP modem a pure modem/how have you set it up? Please try the same DHCP suggestion and if applicable give the R2 a static WAN IP.

As far as I know my ISP modem is a pure modem, it has no built in wireless. It's a Technicolor DPC3216, very basic modem. I have it set up as Wall -> ISP modem -> R2. I've already set my DHCP to the 168 hours, but when I try to set it up as a static IP for the WAN I lose internet completely, the only way it comes back is to set it back to a DHCP connection.

Having the same issue. I have to reset the router at least twice a day as it keeps dropping connection.

Hi i am also getting random wifi signal loss and sometimes internet loss, i have to either change the wifi channel if i the apps will run or reboot the router from interface.

For the past couple of days. I've been having an error when fiddling with the "set device bandwidth" windows in bandwidth allocation when choosing per category. I've found it was the browser I was using due to the extensions that I had installed.

I've been following the instructions in the PM once again, and it was working well for awhile. However in the last few days I've had to reboot both the ISP modem and the R2 several times to get the R2 to function properly. I've changed the lease time to what's been previously suggested before, but when I try to set it up as a static WAN I lose internet completely until I set it back to DHCP. I'm not sure what else there is to do, as far as I know all my settings are correct and as I've stated previously my connection goes from the wall, to the ISP modem, to the R2, and the modem doesn't have any built in wireless that could be interfering, not to mention the connection drops on the wired devices on the network as well so it goes beyond a wireless issue. At this point I don't know what else there is for me to do to fix this issue, I have been compiling logs from after I've rebooted both units that may have some clues but I don't know enough about it to solve it.

I assume you're on a dynamic IP address, contact your ISP and ask them how long their lease time is - I suspect it is every 24 hours, ask them to change this to 1 week and see if that resolves it.

my wifi has quit working twice in the last 4 days. all the lights seem normal but wifi not working. reset of the router gets it going again but as this is a brand new router I really do not want to be dealing with issues like this.

Well I called my ISP, and they claim that they do not have the ability to change the lease time for my IP address...... which I don't know if I believe but that's what they told me.
