DUMA BOLTON
Has any one tried the GEO-FILTER on PUBG Xbox One? I've tried it my self but it won't let me connect to a game when it's enabled but works fine off. When does the DumaOS get released to us UK? Thanks guys
pollutionblues
DumaOS is out on the 17th April. Does PUBG allow you to select a region in game? If so you won’t need the geofilter enabled.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 9, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 9, 2018 As blues said, as you can choose the region there is no need to use Filtering Mode, just use Spectating Mode so you can see the ping to the server. A lot of servers may be incorrectly located and we'll be rectifying that soon so don't worry if it's far away from you.

You can do either, I usually change mine before I turn on my console but that’s more so that I don’t forget to do it
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted April 11, 2018 Netduma Staff Share Posted April 11, 2018 Thanks Also when using the congestion slider do I turn them down to 70/70 before or after I turn my console on? Thanks Again. As pollutionblues said it's a matter of preference. We recommend only enabling the Geo-Filter when gaming as well and disabling it when you're finished. I hope this helps! Spectating mode is like having the geofilter disabled but show hosts enabled on the R1? It's always good to be able to keep tabs on things even if you don't want to tighten matchmaking parameters. Administrators Netduma Admin Posted April 21, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 21, 2018 Is there a profile for p2p games like PUBG? We have PUBG classified under our Deep Packet Inspection (Unreal Engine) so it is automatically prioritised. We also have the profile option for PUBG in the Geo-Filter page (also under the Unreal Engine)
DUMA BOLTON
I play on console (XboxOne) I'm also waiting for the update to the DumaOS but In the mean time will enable Deep Packet Inspection still work on the R1?

Yes just add your console to hyper traffic and it'll work for PUBG. Our Geo-Filter profile for PUBG doesn't block anything as it utilises regions in game so just set the radius to the entire world, select your region on the game and you can ping the server you get with the Geo-Filter. Administrators Netduma Admin Posted April 27, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 27, 2018 Hi Bolton - not sure I follow you. What do you mean by 'it's still showing the R1 servers'? Do you mean you have changed the DNS from default to something like 1.1.1.1?
DUMA BOLTON
Yes thats correct, But on all my devices its showing 192.168.88.1? How is this, When on the R1 is set to 1.1.1.1? Thank you
Administrators Netduma Admin Posted April 27, 2018 Administrators Share Posted April 27, 2018 That's your devices telling you that it is using the DNS that the R1 is using (the R1 local IP is 192.168.88.1). So everything is now going through 1.1.1.1 because that's what you have set on the router. If you really want to, you can edit each device's DNS connection to 1.1.1.1 but that's a waste of time in all honesty as you have set it up correctly on your router! Any help would be great, Thank you Any device connected to the R1 will just show the default gateway as your DNS - likely 192.168.88.1. You can use something like https://browserleaks.com/ip to confirm which DNS that device is using. As above, you could also set each device to use Cloudfare DNS manually.
