Anyone still play BO3? (EU)

Not if it's worth reinstalling. I can't take anymore of the IW jokes (behind the action on 6ms to my local server, and now VPR spam) and I was wondering if BO3 EU servers are still 90% full of players from the middle east on three bars.

 

If not I might try Ghosts, where my bullets worked lol

I have my geo over only the Ireland dedicated server and get matches instantly.

Yeah barely haha. The main problem was its damage as it's a MW3 TTK gun in IW. 3-5 shot kills for a no recoil high capacity SMG is just ridiculous; it's essentially a rapid fire extended mags MP7, only you can stack more attachments on after that. I got into a game with a rare solid connection last night, find myself on a nice gunstreak, and some turd on the other team decided he has no thumbs with a KBAR and pulls out the VPR. I was gonna leave the game when I noticed he three shotted me as clearly the damage hadn't been touched, but I stuck it out and suddenly he becomes god and drops a THOR. That's when I put down my controller and walked away, and I'm contemplating just throwing the disc tbh.

 

If BO3 isn't a three bar mess as it was for its entire first year even in core TDM then maybe I'll have something not completely nosebleed-inducing to play for the next few months

I have given up on IW and just play BO3, and have had some good games recently.

Only tend to play HCTDM but hey ho ........

If I play bo3 I use the geo filter.

When I play IW I turn off the geo filter. If it's enabled I get crap games, stupid deaths and poor hit detection . Disable it and it plays much better..

Funny you say that. Back in February I said here that after a rough morning, I got back on with the geofilter off and had the best and most consistent connections so far in IW for two entire days. I'd never had anything better than an evening of consistent up until that point. Then patch 1.09 came out the next day and it was back to unplayable 90% of the time

BO3 could play well but only when servers weren't flooded with three bars.

 

 But at least on BO3 there were 3-bars, on IW they are all 4-bars regardless - no matter how skippy they are (although you do see some drop to 1-bar).

 

It's almost as if they want to pretend that everyone has a perfect connection...

Thing is most people will be true 4 bar that is anything under 100 so somebody with 10ms connection but with 80ms of jitter will still be classed as a 4 bar.

 

Dedi locking seems to be in place so you would not see any 3 bars unless somebody is in a party from the US playing on a Europe dedi say.

I think battlenonsense tested it and you can actually 4 bar on up to 120 or 125ms now, can't quite remember which... ridiculous. The 100ms intervals for each bar need to be done away with, because how can 100ms of latency be considered acceptable in an FPS game, never mind "ideal"?
