Zennon Posted April 25, 2015 Share Posted April 25, 2015 Fast movement coupled with players different ping times using rewind time lag compensation just does not work , hit boxes lag behind or in front , thats why the slow movement games like mw and mw2 seem so much better. fuzzy clam Posted April 25, 2015 Share Posted April 25, 2015 Don't know if i believe the "beta" hype as that would have started already.It's almost May and the game comes out first week of November.That's really 5 months for the beta testing and gather all the feedback and fix all the bugs on something that i'm guessing is a pretty complex code,that doesn't seem like enough time to me. I'm just hoping for no massively OP kill streaks and better coding for the game.Would love it if they got off the quake 3 engine from 1999 and re built a new engine to go along with the exo movement's and faster game speed as i think it would help with less WTF moments and smoother game play for everyone. XmasTeaTowel Posted April 28, 2015 Share Posted April 28, 2015 Movement should be fine and gun fights more traditional. Apparently there is just a slide, mantle, wall run and Thrust jump. All dictated by how much "meter" you have. I read the level design originally had ladders but we're removed because they were slow to use and the Thrust jump added. So you have the traditional jump and the Thrust jump, while used to reach High places... Need to be held to use so has a start up time. This negates the use of Jack rabbit jumps as soon as seeing an opponent. Oh and there is no dash/strafe. So new movement seems to be just for map movement and flow. Most gun fights should be old skool line of sight and position. Wall run is limited to time on Wall but will refresh wall to wall. (titanfall) Mantle seems to be hurdling higher than normal obstacles, while gun is always up during all these motions Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Apologies for butchering your quote Xmas I really hope the above parts are true. The rest is just window dressing imo. I want some gun skill back in my CoD, and to be rewarded appropriately for it. And have heard they plan on doing the beta during the summer,like they did with world at war.No definitive date yet but i did pre order it yesterday.So if they run the beta the same way as they did then,IMO if should be very beneficial to the devs and in the end the players. See even thou i don't have a lot of faith in COD anymore,i still buy the product.Always hoping the next installment will be the one that plays great and runs smooth. No longer can you air detonate, it has to hit a surface (wall, ground, person) and then you can set it off. I like this change. I have thrown more than my fair share of C4, and have been killed by it as well, but I do feel the air detonation was kind of a cheap kill. Shotguns and Snipers though Treyarch, you HAVE to balance the Shotguns and Snipers. I can't do another year plus of running head long into a "sniper" or shotgunner RUNNING with lightweight and being black-scoped or obliterated by a hit-box that is clearly 2 feet away from my shin area. For me it was emailed and then I had to enter it onto the bops3 website.
