kevo got a reaction from x42osoldi3rx in Network Hook up Question
I would run the r3 in front and use the other one in ap mode for WiFi that’s how I got my setup r3 with my xr500 behind it in ap mode because the wifi is better

Just to be clear, I provide support, I'm not a developer, you can get as agitated with me as much as you like but I assure you it does nothing to help you, me or your issues. If you would like support then I will be happy to continue to assist you, this is your first post on the forum, you may have seen topics and posts previously but until you receive directed support for your issues I feel it's hard to provide a generalisation.
If you don't want support and are instead seeing this as a challenge or a way to show us up or make you feel better then I implore you to tell me now so I can spend my time helping others that would like our support.
Are you using Armor? Are you using HTTPS or HTTP to access the interface? Setting your speed tells the router the maximum bandwidth it has available, hence why the speed will then change. There has always been a workaround to allow you to filter/prioritize on PC. How are you determining it is missing packets exactly? Could you provide a video of how you're updating the names please on the Device Manager? Without a screenshot of the QoS page and a better overview of your network at the time of testing it's hard to determine what is happening there but:
If you have Congestion Control set it will affect the speeds on those devices
If other devices are being used at the time when testing it will affect the speeds on those devices
If other devices require more bandwidth than their allocation then it will affect the speeds on those devices What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g. XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. Are ALL devices connected to the XR? Are they connected directly or are they connected through switches, extenders, APs etc?
I agree a firmware update has taken too long, you're not wrong there.

Right, I connect to the west coast at times and still have a better experience than my 10ms ping to the ATL servers. Servers are as bad as the city lol

kevo reacted to Netduma Fraser in in game delay
Almost certainly lag compensation then, around 30ms should be the best of both

kevo got a reaction from Thorkay in in game delay
my overall ping in those stats be really low even the jitter
-
kevo reacted to Thorkay in in game delay
Example i can pull a A+ but my Max on latency is to high at 71ms other words that's not good for like's of hitreg my connection in game it's not always about having 0 & 0 on the scoreboard ..Bottom stats First is Uploaded Latency - stats 2nd is Download - Stats 3rd is Upload - Stats for my connection

You may be experiencing lag compensation, in which case as you've found out forcing a different server further away with a slightly higher ping may give you a better experience.

Get off the Atlanta server it’s the worst. I live 4 hours from Atlanta and block that server as it’s horrible with lag. Not sure why as I also get 6-8ms ping but have horrible hit detection and lag almost every game. I mainly play on the Dallas, Ohio area servers and have much better gameplay at 20-25ms ping 🤷♂️
Try other servers and see what you get.

Also make sure you disable, IPv6 for both WAN and LAN, and reboot the R3. Also, Reboot the console/pc for safe measures. But, you should get Open NAT. Especially if you're on the latest firmware, 4.0.219.

kevo reacted to bbursley in Download speeds lower on ps5
Yeah thats on Sonys end, and theres nothing you can do about it unfortunately. Im like 99% sure Sony caps the speeds out.I had symetrical gig like you do, and when I ran a speed test from a PS5, I ended up with the same issues. Download wasn't to bad, but upload was chopped into pieces. I wouldn't get to worried over it, again as its something well out of anyones control. Not you, Netduma, or your ISP can change how fast it can go sadly. Its what made me switch back to xbox, and then eventually just realized everything was nicer on PC

kevo reacted to Netduma Fraser in new internet bufferbloat question for cod
It does do a speed test when testing the ping under load so it should saturate or come very close yes
-
kevo reacted to Netduma Fraser in new internet bufferbloat question for cod
Really the only thing to do is to experiment with the Congestion Control percentages, that is the only thing that will lower the ping under load

kevo got a reaction from Alex49H in new internet bufferbloat question for cod
i recently got fiber install where i stay and i see alot of people getting their bufferbloat 0 ms on the download and upload speed. any recommended settings to get both of them to that point.my overall latency currently is 6. I havent played around with any settings forreal/ Ive tried to use that auto setup on the xr500 and it says my best settings are 100 down and 100 up. Just looking for suggestions to test some stuff out.Other games like fortnite, apex legends and the finals i think play pretty good as of now but cod multiplayer is iffy but warzone plays way different

Most of us bought this router before stupid peoples on le internetz went around chatting BS about it helping you get better lobbies.
Most of us bought this router before SBMM and reverse boosting were even a thing.

kevo reacted to ownal0t in Lets be honest... BOT LOBBIES!!!!
nope. i got this router for its intended purpose. to not be forced to play Cold war with 50+ ping when my local server is right there with 15-25 ping.
its just crazy how much people really got this router just to get bot lobbies.

kevo reacted to Netduma Fraser in xr500 warzone
Does sound like lag compensation then and that high it's working for you rather than against you. I suspect it's probably due to the time of year, big spike in population numbers
