  1. @JayC7What platform are you using to play Rainbow Six Siege?
  2. @AsNCoWhen your in the application what is it classified as on the DPI? Realistically it shouldn't have any effect though in theory if it was being classified as a game then steady ping could be doing something which is causing it to lag like trying to optimize the ping and it thinks it a 100ms is optimal etc...
  3. @NuyorricanI am not the one who designed the OS but I guess it a flaw design I noticed it long ago though I believe it do to it being able to be designated or classified as different things for certain individuals such as at job etc so you can see most of them at work from home or chat and messaging for VOIP as there basically mostly classified VOIP.
  4. @Netduma FraserI believe he/she is using WiFi calling with Ring central therefore it won't be recognized as it not on the list regardless of OS
  5. @NuyorricanI mean that would depend on what your using to call someone/application if your using anything not under the DPI catalog it will appear as uncategorized you can check the catalog of what's supported by going to Smart Boost and select add and there you can view all the supported applications.
  6. I mean knowing the cod industry is filled with cheaters and activision with their crappy anti-cheat engine don’t be surprised if there are shadow bans. Reason why I don’t play newer cods especially anything with the name MW on the title…
  7. It not under the DPI category so it not going to be recognized as such if you want it to be supported quicker make a capture using wireshark for it to be added to the list.
  8. @sharpz44I do believe it something actually related to the capabilities of the wireless connection since I have my XR in AP and everything is perfect however changing to the R3 wireless connection it does show weaker signal to devices on the UI and am not an expert on frequencies and haven't done proper testing so this could be just an UI bug the best way to test this would be using wifi analyzer to get more accurate results based on some research.
  9. @vinu hunterHe's is you can tell by looking at the recent activity on bio
  10. @vinu hunter I am not netduma affiliated so this is something from my personal knowledge and experience with routers and everyone has there own opinions about products. The way it stabilizes your ping is using QOS and Smart DPI Algorithms to not affect your experience based on a DPI catalog and your set preferences....You can learn more about about why those features are essential in the following links. https://www.fortinet.com/resources/cyberglossary/qos-quality-of-service https://www.fortinet.com/resources/cyberglossary/dpi-deep-packet-inspection
  11. @vinu hunterAnother quick question if you don't have it connected to the Geofilter is the ping the exact same?
  12. @vinu hunterDid you get different results with Steady Ping disabled? Just wondering
  13. @vinu hunter The main selling point is ping not routing that something no router has circumvented that am aware They are going so sell because it better than your average router plus there are features that no other router has... It could be just the Geofilter not working as intended Fraser's off today bud
  14. @KeithThey said probably around January though there could be a possible delay looking at forums
  15. @Derek2626Only alternative currently is just changing your speeds which is dumb which is what I said as well about not being allowed to go below 50% as not every network is the same and ideally you want the least amount of buffer for gaming.
  16. @mohandsGo to Settings>WAN
  17. @Netduma FraserAnother suggestion on the DHCP lease time can you guys revert it back to the original instead of minutes have hours or have both options since most users don't like doing math just seems tedious to figure the exact time.
  18. @vinu hunterThat just your ISP routing you can try and force the server to connect by adjusting your filter though if your ISP routes your connection to wherever and then comebacks another way do to bad ISP routing then that might answer your question as to why your ping is so high even with geofilter. There is an alternative you can use HVPN and that may help or use your PC with exit lag and route the traffic using the PC through lan to your PS5.
  19. @TG3NOC1D3Possible though it took that company a long time to add that as feature from the looks of it seems like it was added about 2-3 years ago also what exactly can you run on the docker as apps?
  20. @TG3NOC1D3 You can remote access your network though I don't personally recommend it as it a security risk you take at your own risk though I don't think they can do this as you'll need to create a dns domain and it subscription based so your paying for a domain of course there a free trial etc. You can follow the link if you want to do so https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-securely-remote-access-wifi-router/ I do believe it'll happen eventually though who knows when... You can see your peer connection when you connect to a server so that nothing new Doubt that'll ever happen especially with ISP's wanting control over every little thing only way is using vpn to escape there control That on a dream land why do you think no router has this features?
  21. If your using steady ping that maybe the cause why your ping seems high you can disable and see if there are any changes.
  22. Try this: 1. Quit the application/game/client completely 2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter 3. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu 4. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option 5. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like 6. Wait 2 minutes 7. Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works.
  23. @CashewCakesSo what your saying is that it not giving you the internet connection from the R3 correct? If so try doing the setup by lan and see if that works I know it not the best case but this might be a netgear compatibility issue and so lan would be the only option in this case.
  24. @Netduma Fraser@D3mon1cActually what it does is it ignore the cc and speeds set and when something like gaming or browsing is detected the cc is applied and that may impact your downloads speeds etc however you have full speeds of your connection when it not enabled so it servers a purpose. Check the inbox I DM'ed
  25. @CashewCakesDid you follow the setup instructions? Also I recommend you to follow the setup and not use wps as shown on the video Another thing to note you said you were using the XR500 and it worked fine this is probably do to certain functions that were added by netgear so it works automatically I would guess but if the router isn't netgear as an example it is a different router you need to set it up differently as shown on the video you need to select try a new system setup I hope this clarifies your issue...
