  1. @Reykc9510So under Traffic prioritization set it to games console
  2. @Reykc9510 Use this software https://www.pingplotter.com/ and try and saturate your connection by doing speed test and if it spikes you have to keep decreasing your cc settings till it doesn't spike any longer. What platform are you using to play?
  3. @FairypusherMan's a drama queen let him cook ๐Ÿ˜‚
  4. @Fuzy@Reykc9510It won't matter QOS for cloud flare is not available on the XR1000 so it not going to prioritize it I have requested for the DPI to be updated 3-6 months ago and still nowhere be found since it hasn't been updated the only alternative is forcing prioritization to the device your using and to find the optimal QOS is to use ping plotter and look for when it gets saturated. In addition yes in most cases you won't saturate your connection with those speeds but some households do so if you dont have a proper QOS well your going to enjoy some packet loss from time to time when it get saturated out of the nowhere thinking it your ISP.
  5. @MegatfDon't worry man you can use it to cook yourself a meal ๐Ÿ˜‚
  6. @Comp0zaIf I were you I wouldn't do so as your location is still going to be exposed by the server regardless of course that varies by game and the downside is that it slows your connection to the server since it has to go through a wall etc.
  7. @SpazzJust checking did you ever check if the packet loss was coming from the line? I would if you didn't at the time since sometimes it can be your ISP I recommend the following tool to diagnose network if it occurs again https://www.pingplotter.com/.
  8. @GlazekoXR500 is still good your not missing a whole world by any means what you do need is the DPI to be updated to the latest version which I have requested for the XR1000 about 6 months ago and still pending....that why when you do a buffer bloat test it not optimized correctly because your missing the DPI catalog which affects what games/applications are detected.
  9. @Proud R3 OwnerI am pretty sure system already does that automatically without affecting the network if not users would've been affected ages ago in the R2 ๐Ÿ˜‚
  10. @SpazzTry setting a dynamic IP instead of a fixed IP and see if that resolves your issue on the XR450 in settings....
  11. @Psyco-MengoThe update was delayed do to some ad-blocker bug that was found and I guess it impacts the performance though hopefully the update should come early next week were all waiting as well buddy yo ain't the only one that's experiencing issues.
  12. @titofuenlaI donโ€™t necessarily worry about it my IP changes automatically after reboot so if I get ddos it doesnโ€™t affect me.
  13. @Netduma FraserHere a clip I also did a reboot and same result only fix is hard resetting to conclude this only occurs once you revert to default settings. 0118.mov
  14. @ZacThey do show up on device manager they just appear as LAN connections instead of wireless connections I would just disable the R3 WiFi since if your multi-casting with the same network name/ID then that might be the cause for your confusion as there can be a possibility that your device is connected to the XR instead of the R3.
  15. If your setup is like mines were you have the R3 WiFi disabled or all your devices connected to the XR then it going to show up as if it a lan device even though it isn't I don't think there a fix for that though it not like it affects your experience etc. What are you specifically watching on your apple tv? As not everything will be prioritized as it is based on a DPI catalog so generally it is best to force prioritize the devices you want for the most optimal connection.
  16. I highly recommend updating to the latest version https://kb.netgear.com/000065541/XR1000-Firmware-Version-1-0-0-68 after doing so follow the procedures below Locate the Reset button on the back of your router. With the router powered on, use the pointed end of a paperclip or similar object to press and hold the Reset button for 30 seconds. Wait for the router to fully reset and power back on.
  17. CHECK INBOX
  18. @Netduma FraserQuick question is changing the dns supposed to disable the wan? If not it did in my case I had a dns set 1.1.1.1 and decided to restore to default and then the wam stayed disconnected. R3 WAN.txt
  19. @cljackhammerThe title of the topic would say otherwise but I understand what your saying I believe there just trying to get as many bugs fixed by doing bi-weekly updates etc you have to remember the routers only been out for a short period. I'd say the timing was somewhat bad do to it being the holidays which delayed updates though it was clearly a market move to get as many sales during holidays and it wasn't ready as it is missing features that should've been there from the beginning.
  20. @cljackhammerWhat are you talking about? You know what your saying sounds dumb because if they released beta features without fixing the core issues first then it just become an even buggier mess since they have to figure what causing this and that etc....
  21. @6ERMAN9 You can try rebooting the router or alternatively increase processes to 5 though I would recommend updating to the latest firmware and then hard resetting. https://kb.netgear.com/000065541/XR1000-Firmware-Version-1-0-0-68
  22. There no betas that am aware off at the moment there just trying to fix all the major bugs and push the updates to users as quickly as possible
  23. @oldman66Have you tried anything other than battle net then?
  24. @maxlangevinIt not coming for a bit till the R3 is more stable then they'll start porting it though the latest beta for it is pretty close to what your going to get on dumaos 4 so I would just upgrade to that beta if you haven't though to be aware there is a loading bug even on the R3 were you may need to reboot the router or optionally since it available on the R2 disable and re-enable smart qos and should give you access to the main UI etc.
