No, I think you should use the CoD ports. Battle.net ports usually only apply to Blizzard's own games such as World of Warcraft and Starcraft.

Use ping heatmap to see which servers around the world give you the lowest ping, then put your geo-filter radius around that area.

Hi @StefanUK, It's a good question. Unfortunately the R3 doesn't currently support mesh networks but we are considering adding the ability eventually. The hardware can certainly handle it. What you could do is to set up a mesh network under your R2, and use your R2 to prioritize traffic and such. The issue with this method is that the R2 would see everything connected to your mesh network as one device. Still, it should still be possible to pick out traffic from that device and prioritize it. Regarding geo-filter, once again it may be possible to filter specific games over your whole mesh network by adding the device to geo-filter. This is untested so I can't guarantee that it will work, but unless the mesh system messes with the traffic in some way, I can't see why DumaOS wouldn't be able to interact with it.

Hi @YamahaX, I'm sorry to hear that you're not happy with the Netduma R3. I'll try to address your specific issues: We are aware of issues with IPv6, and we're planning to fix them in an upcoming firmware update. It's possible that the reason they're higher is because of Steady Ping. This feature raises your ping slightly in order to create a buffer which compensates for jitter, meaning you have a smoother gameplay experience. However the fact you say that your ping does not feel stable makes me think this may not be what's causing it. Would you be interested in having early access to an upcoming firmware in order to see if your issues are improved at all?

Hi, Unfortunately we've had several delays in getting a new firmware out to the public. We're working hard on getting it ready, and it does contain many fixes and some new features. There's a new firmware available in Early Access which I could give you access to if you'd like.

Hi, Make sure that the ports you're forwarding are also opened to the R3. For example, if you have an ISP router above your R3, make sure to put the R3 into the DMZ of that router, or manually enter the ports again on there. Our upcoming firmware update contains a UPnP Relay feature which should make this process automatic.

Hi @Kerry Aldae You're right, we actually removed the custom list feature in DumaOS 4 because very few people were using it. Is this a feature you'd like to see return? The disconnection and reconnection on settings change helps to avoid any issues with existing connections hanging around. I think what's needed here is a clearer warning to users that the change will disrupt network activity.

Hi, So your internet connection comes into your R3, goes through your PC and then to your PS5, correct? So that means the PC in between the R3 and the PS5. Devices can only be seen by DumaOS if they're using a DumaOS assigned IP. By default, this is an IP within the 192.168.77.x range. I imagine your PC must have it's own DHCP pool, so the PS5 will have an IP address assigned to it by the PC, rather than by the R3. You may be able to get it working by simply geo-filtering your PC, and the block should hopefully affect the PS5 as well. This hasn't been tested so I can't guarantee it would work. If you were to set your PC to a console in the DumaOS Device Manager, you could add it to geo-filter as if it was a console. It may be possible to disable DHCP on your PC so that the PS5 gets an DumaOS IP address, but that may prevent you from doing anything with the traffic on your PC.

Thanks for the report. We're aware of the innacurate ping issue and we're working to resolve it as soon as possible.

So it sounds like Adblocker is running, as stuff is coming up on the graph, but for some reason the DNS requests aren't being dropped. I'm going to do some additional testing to try and recreate this bug, thanks for the help.

@MuRF FuRY@hellojohnbuck Hi, I'm from the QA Team. I have tested this myself on a Smart Modem 3 and it seems to be working. I added both youtube.com and www.youtube.com as a custom Domains list, and it was blocked successfully. Please answer some questions to help me figure out what's happening: Is Adblocker working using the default lists? Does anything come up on the bubble chart when you visit a news site? Does the site contain ads? Have you tried flushing the DNS cache after adding youtube.com and www.youtube.com to the domains list? If this doesn't work, have you tried leaving it 24 hours for the DNS cache to expire? Have you got a manual DNS address set on the device you're using to test this? For example, on your PC? Thanks

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. When we changed the Server ID format in DumaOS 4, we didn't update the Google Form to match. I have now removed the restrictions from the form so that you can submit either DumaOS 3 or DumaOS 4 formatted server IDs. Sorry about the inconvenience.

We have not specifically changed anything about how Ping Assist works in this firmware version. However, there are many improvements to general Geo-Filter functionality, and this increased reliability should make Ping Assist function better as well. Please let us know how you get on with Ping Assist in this firmware. If there's any specific issues still present, we'll fix them. Agreed, a backup feature would be really useful. I'll make sure it's on the roadmap. As @Fuzy said, it isn't nessercary. If you encounter any issues, you should factory reset. Preferably let us know about the issues first though so that we can fix them!
