  1. Hello Pringles, That would be correct. Connect the starlink directly to your PC to see if the starlink is even giving out any IPV6 addresses.. Then you would know for sure. Im not familiar with starlink but I would think it should work similar to other type of connection setups.. Has it ever worked for you before you added the R3? Thanks! Zippy.
  2. @internetgod12000 I was looking through your posts.. Have you tried the Geo to see what servers pop up? @Netduma Fraser has asked you a question on your last post you made that you havent answered.. You might be able to filter the game.. You have to understand that the game you are mentioning isnt that popular. Not saying its not a fun game but they do have a priority that they use to sort this out.. Also im not aware of many game servers in Canada.. So that might be hit and miss.. Im not sure this would qualify for a refund.. But that is something Netduma would have to decide..   3. Congratulations NETDUMA! This is really a success story from the start.. First starting in the kitchen and now evolving into what I would call a dominate force in the market.. I honestly have to say you guys have done what no other router or software company has ever thought was possible.. Its like the saying.. "Going where no man has gone before". That is honestly such a true statement in this situation.. I have been here for over 6 years and really have to give my hat off to NETDUMA.. Its been a marvel to see them grow.. And the features that really make one speechless.. When it comes to gaming there is no other router software out there that can influence ones experience like a DumaOS router.. Hands down there is none.. I have to say the folks at NETDUMA are truly good folks! I have to give a shout out to Fraser as well.. Watching him work the support forums is amazing.. That guy has patience like no other.. ha ha I thought I had patience but this guy has me beat! Congrats again guys! May there be many more years of success to come. Its well deserved. Zippy.
  4. Hey @thahyp From what your describing does sound like the game is being regionally locked.. And this is something 343i has done before with there prior title Halo5.. After a period of time they then took off the regional lock on Halo5.. And with you being where you are I can see that being an issue.. My only thing I can possibly think of doing is using a vpn and run your game through a vpn to hide your location.. Ive heard others doing this before.. But my experience in that is very limited so I cant say for sure if that would work or not.. That would be the only work around I can think of atm.. And that is of course if the game is truly being locked like that.. So even if one uses the Geo Filter to Expand your search even farther I dont think that would work either if there is a internal hard coded Regional Lock in bedded into the game.. What happens when you try to play something like Firer Fight? Does that play list as well not find games? Is there any playlist that you can find games in? Im trying to see if its a Rank only playlist that is restricted or the whole game.. If there is anything else I can think of I will post for you! Im going to do a little digging.. Good luck! Zippy.
  5. This will depend on a few factors.. One is if your using the Geo Filter? And if so how big is your radius? What country are you from? Those are key factors.. One easy thing to try is disable the Geo if your using it.. That should help find games The other key factor is to make sure your on" Expanded" search in the game settings.. "Expanded" furthers your search.. "Local" search tries to keep your search smaller and lower on the ping side.. Again these settings are in the game and not in the router.. I play alot of Halo Infinite.. And I do not use the Geo.. I live in the US and have very little trouble finding games.. What playlist are you searching in? Thanks! Zippy.
  6. How close are the speeds on the speed test on the R3 to what you pay for? Does the R3 always show higher speeds then what your paying for or are the speeds lower then what you pay for? Thanks! Zippy.
  7. Fraser I was going to ask you this before.. But whats confusing about this is whats the difference using LLM or Auto Detect? Or Always for that matter.. Do any of these different modes handle packets any different? The clarity on this seems a but mucky.. Basically what would be the benefit of using LLM over Auto Detect? There shouldnt be any should there? Thanks! Zippy.
  8. The ET2251 is a pure modem only.. It will always have an Open NAT.. its not a router.. Your issue is not the modem.. Its either a setting in your R3 like possibly the Geo filter is blocking or something upnp isnt picking up.. What are you playing on PC? You might have to resort to port forwarding.. Thanks! Zippy.

  11. I do believe this is normal.. Its likely your order came in later of the day for them and will get processed tomorrow.. There carrier is DHL.. So once they get the item then you should see an update to your tracking.. Im sure Fraser will post here as well for your reassurance.. Check and see what tomorrow shows.. If nothing post back again!   12. Hey @gangrel Im familiar with your modem.. And there is nothing one can change on it because it is a pure modem only.. As a test though what happens when you connect your Xbox directly to your modem? If everything is good on your end you should receive an Open NAT that way.. If you can try this as a test and report back your findings this will help narrow down the true cause.. If you dont receive an Open NAT that way try to fully power down your Xbox by hold the power button until it completely shuts down.. Then unplug the Xbox and press the power button a few times to clear any stored cache.. Then proceed to connect again and see if your Xbox gets an Open NAT plugged directly into the modem.. If all goes well you should get an Open NAT. Again the above is just as a test.. Thanks! Zippy.
  13. I havent done this in awhile.. But you would go to the the Device Manager and you should see your PC listed there.. Click on it and then you should be able to change the device type there.. Again sorry if im missing a step! But it should be somewhat straight forward from there.. If not post back and Fraser should be able to help further.. Thanks! Zippy.
  14. That would be correct.. Enable IPV6 on the XR500 and see how it goes.. I dont think you have to reboot unless you feel you need too.. This did work with my Xbox Series X before.. Tomorrow I will hook up my XR500 to see if it still does work like this and report back.. When enabling IPV6 dont use upnp or port forwarding..and no DMZ.. You should obtain an Open NAT.. In the IPV6 section make sure you select Open.. It usually is towards the bottom of the IPV6 setup.. Only do this in the IPV6 setup.. Again this has worked on my Xbox.. If your on PC im not 100% sure it will work the same.. But give it ago! You have nothing to lose.. You might also have to make sure your PC has IPV6 ICMP enabled.. That would be on your PC and not your router.. It uses ICMP to send messages for IPV6 connectivity.. Good luck! Zippy.
  15. Okay thanks again! I have the same provider as you.. Did you happen to try and enable IPV6? See if that helps give you an Open NAT.. Basically what I found strange is that when I enable IPV6 on my XR500 I would obtain an Open NAT then.. Something to try if you want.. Does your CM1200 have an interface you can log into? My cable modem is just a plain modem so no interface really to change anything.. Im sure though if you went to Spectrums Business internet you wouldnt have CG-NAT.. As I think then you get assigned a Static IP.. I still would try to enable IPV6 first and see if that helps.. This works on my Xbox series X.. Not sure though if that will work on your PC the same way.. Zippy.
  16. Thanks for your reply! You mentioned you upgraded to Gig speeds.. Did you then change your modem as well? I just find this hard to believe your now on CG-NAT.. But yet it can be believable as well because of IPV4 addresses running out. Is your current modem one of those modem router combos all in one the CM1200? Im just trying to rule anything out..   17. Hey @CrAzY_V3t3rAn Was just curious but did you ask Spectrum if they are using CG-NAT in your case? Typically they werent using CG-NAT.. But as IPV4 address run out ive learned more and more ISP are going to this to bridge the gap for IPV4 to IPV6.. Thanks! Zippy.
  18. Thanks @L2W for those screenshots! I can take the heat btw.. Its just everyone here wants you to have a good experience and not a bad one so try to understand that everyone is only trying to help you.. Sometimes when one changes alot of settings the XR500 seems to get in a strange state.. That is from experience as well.. I do recall that when I played with the Distribution Flower my Xbox bandwidth disappeared.. Very similar to what you are experiencing.. Even if I reset everything on the flower it didnt come back.. My only course was to factory reset.. Now with the bandwidth you have I would leave your CC sliders set more to 100% because you have alot of Bandwidth.. I would try that and see how your gaming feels.. Again though if your XR500 is in an odd state I would recommend a factory reset and leave CC alone and the Distribution Flower alone as well.. This is more of a test to see if we can get your bandwidth back and see what may have caused this.. I understand one wants to be able to tweak ones settings to get the best gaming experience because that only makes sense right.. If you use Traffic Prioritization I think that should be good enough for you and tbh the only thing you need to do.. Again because you have such good bandwidth.. I wouldnt do the 70% 70% thing.. On another note I did have a strange thing happen where the XR500 MAC changed by one digit and that also caused an odd bandwidth loss as well.. Im not sure if this has happened to you or not but that is something to consider.. Usually though when this took place Device Manager would kick an Unknown Device in the Device Manager and when I checked I noticed this new MAC address.. This would also give the same effect with a loss of bandwidth.. When I mention a strange state above I think what happens is the XR500 quits responding to ones command when making setting changes.. Even though you are clicking this or clicking that the XR500 isnt responding to your changes once its in this said state.. Even though visually it says it is its not.. So thats why I mention a factory reset so much.. I know its a pain to do and it gets old but this may help to understand of whats going on in your case.. Is it a QoS issue or possibly a MAC change issue.. Im sure Fraser will have you try a few things as well.. Sorry I cant give you more insight.. But thats been my experience with the XR500 along with a few other strange things with DHCP.. My course of action still would be to try another factory reset or see what Fraser thinks.. Thanks!   19. @L2W If it was me I would factory reset your router and do not touch the Distribution Flower.. I think you may have set something up wrong along with your fiddling that you have now limited your bandwidth to your Xbox.. The Distribution Flower should be set evenly for both Upload and Download.. Do not give anything more or less.. If you want to take a screenshot of your QoS page that would help as well.. Somewhere along the way something is now throttling your bandwidth to your Xbox.. And I think it has to do with what you did on your Flower.. A full screenshot will help.. That way I can look and give you better advice.. If you are trying to get your Max speeds/bandwidth the XR500 may not be for you.. Theres really no bs about this.. You do have to understand how this type of QoS works.. I can totally understand you are frustrated but please try to be polite to others even if they are not answering your question completely..   21. I would recommend the early access firmware like Fraser has given out.. Specially if your having any type of disconnects.. That firmware is stable and a good choice.. That would be my recommendation.. Thanks! Zippy.
  22. @dusky If your IPV6 continues to drop off you might have to log into Netgears debug menu and enable the the IPV6 ICMP there.. Which would be allow external IPV6 hosts to ping internal IPV6 hosts.. Thats likely your cause tbh.. Because IPV6 relies heavily on ICMPs to send important messages to make IPV6 work correctly.. 192.168.1.1/debug.htm You would type that in your web browser.. Hope that works for yah! Thanks! Zippy.
  23. The reason you likely had an Open NAT using the XR500 and XR1000 is because you had IPV6 enabled on those two routers.. IPV6 is capable of Open ones NAT with UPNP disabled and No port forwarding or DMZ.. The R3 is not capable of doing that at this time.. You can also try what @DOGGAVELIor @DARKNESS has mentioned..   24. Hey @Gil When these disconnections happen while playing a game try disabling the Geo to see if they stop.. This is just as a test to see if the Geo might be blocking something.. If they still occur could you please grab the logs from the troubleshooting section and post them here? It will help to see what the possible cause might be.. Thanks! Zippy.
