Updates on eFootball 2024
Netduma Fraser replied to euphidra's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Yes you can, as the console isn't your only device using UPnP would be better for your other devices but I don't think I've ever seen anyone have issues without it and using the DMZ instead so it's up to you. -
Moderate or Strict Nat Type or Teredo IP İssue

Great to hear that and thanks for posting the solution! You're welcome! -
Glad to hear it seems to resolve itself, to me it would indicate something like the ethernet cable connecting your the devices to the router or WiFi interference given it's not occurring on everything

Updates on eFootball 2024

You don't need DMZ if UPnP opens the NAT for you as they could conflict. No further update unfortunately, he will do it as soon as he can. -

Could you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please? It's more likely to do with the way it's setup -
Could you complete a Connection Benchmark test and provide a screenshot of the results please as well as a screenshot of your QoS page?

Problems with new Nighthawk 1000 Xr
Netduma Fraser replied to Furious's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Yes you can choose the Basic > Games Console option for PC and that will prioritize all your games. Otherwise with the Advanced Setup you would need to look up the ports the game uses and make multiple rules to account for them - like you would if you were going to port forward. How did you set the Upload limits, via Bandwidth Allocation or using Congestion Control? -

Could you follow the CG-NAT part at the bottom of this guide and provide a screenshot of the results please? https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000076587-dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-open-nat -
Bad Hit Reg. Latency 1 second behind the enemy movements.

You can prioritize multiple things that's fine but there is no need to prioritize the same thing 3 different ways for example. You can prioritize and port forward that's fine, they perform different functions. -

We can certainly test the game again to make sure we have all the servers covered, I'll pass it along to Alex but he is very busy currently

Totally understand your frustration, I've never heard of a product becoming end of life just 2 years after release which is what happened here and of course that means that less resources then get put into it. It's something we've planned for to get it up to a higher firmware level but with lack of support and also the architectural challenge of it, it's looking unlikely. I'm happy to help troubleshoot your issues if you wish to but understand if you don't.

Devices Listed as OFFLINE that are ONLINE!

Based on your response am I to understand that you don't want to continue troubleshooting? Android and Windows devices both have the same random MAC address options, iPhone was just an example. -
Where are you testing your bufferbloat exactly using Connection Benchmark or through another site?

Apertura porte xr1000
Netduma Fraser replied to fae7787's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
As above, no need to do this specifically as UPnP should have you covered but otherwise you'd need to look up online the ports the game uses then add them in. Also you don't need port triggering and port forwarding, one or the other.

What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to? Are ALL devices connected to the XR? What QoS settings did you specifically use - can you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please? Some devices if they connect via a different method e.g. 2.4/5GHz will show as a different device as the MAC address will be different, also some devices like an iPhone have private/random MAC addresses enabled which means anytime it connects to the router it will appear as a new device. Disabling those private/random MAC options will help prevent that happening as well as setting static/reserved IPs for devices so you know for certain a device is what it says it is.
