Issues with r2 not saving on powercycle or updating firmware
Netduma Fraser replied to Aylinka's topic in Netduma R2 Support
So you'll need to copy the WAN IP from the System Information page on the R2 and put that in the DMZ feature on your Zyxel router otherwise we won't be able to connect tomorrow -

Great thanks, did you need to put the WAN IP in the DMZ or do you have a pure modem that the R2 is connected to (it doesn't give out WiFi)? -

We'll push through an upgrade for you, that should resolve it. In WAN Settings enable remote support, then go to the System Information page and copy the WAN IP and enter that into your ISP modem/router DMZ (if applicable), then post back here with a device connected to the router and we'll push through an upgrade. Don't unplug it at all until we've got that sorted. -

Keep us posted, you'll want to toggle Enable 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, if you've toggled it to off all the options below should grey out, then save, then reboot from the interface and it should have saved. -
NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535

In what sense? Nothing has changed so should be the same. -

No ethernet is the best way, reboot from the interface then try to access as fast as possible and upgrade immediately and see if that takes. How are you disabling WiFi exactly? Are you just disabling Mirror Mode? -

Make your settings changes, then reboot from the interface, wait 4 minutes then access. Then when you unplug it (shouldn't need to) it should keep your settings without loading the Setup Wizard. Are you trying to upgrade over WiFi or ethernet? -
We usually suggest starting at 70% and then adjusting from there based on your experience

Possible de faire du TFTP sur un XR500 ?
Netduma Fraser replied to Naguelfar's topic in NETDUMA Français
C'est génial d'entendre ça, merci pour la mise à jour ! -
It's still not something we can assist with, regardless of the reason, it could then be used for that purpose

Insanely High Upload Ping
Netduma Fraser replied to GloryDownUnder's topic in Telstra Internet Optimiser support
What do you have upload Congestion Control set to? There isn't a specific percentage it should be set to, we recommend starting at 70% and then working from there to see which value works the best -
Potentially but circumventing SBMM isn't something we can help with

Geo filter game lobbies locations suggestions
Netduma Fraser replied to ggzkris's topic in Gamer Talk
You would have to setup the VPN each time you wanted to change location. Just so you know we don't support circumventing SBMM but I'm sure other people will chip in. -
No the other way around would be better, use Congestion Control, don't use Bandwidth Allocation. Utilize Traffic Prioritization as well - DumaOS Classified Games should be prioritizing already.

What do you mean a single network? You connect the R2 to your ISP modem/router then put your ISP modem in modem/bridge mode or copy the R2 WAN IP from the R2 System Information page into the ISP modem DMZ. Connect all devices to the R2 and you're good to go.

Netduma - Auto Detect speed
Netduma Fraser replied to Jeofel08's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
The benefit of Connection Benchmark over 3rd party tests is it actually runs from the router rather than just from the device and can accurately simulate a congested network. I'm sure we could assuming they had an API but they may charge and I don't think the team would want to put resources into adding 3rd party software into our own, especially when we have a version of it already. -

We don't give out any ETAs but I think before the end of the year -

That's what Connection Benchmark is for, with Ping Under Load -
XR500 still worth buying in 2023
Netduma Fraser replied to liveandletdie34's topic in Community Discussion
Yes from Netgear. There have been instances of similar issues yes, I'd suggest waiting until you see our next firmware update and then decide from there. -
Ah great to hear that. You need to change to Do NOT VPN these services and remove the CoD service you added

It is a solid router definitely but does lack when it comes to the frequency of the updates -
Could you provide the VPN log it's giving you and the configuration file you're using please?
-
The only reason a VPN would have worked I would have thought is if you have a ban which you can't have if it's working direct to the modem. I'll have to ask someone else and see if they have any ideas.
