You don't need to go quite to that extent, changing the device types won't do anything for example. Reset Bandwidth Allocation and leave that alone, are you playing over WiFi or ethernet on the console? 70% for Congestion Control is the recommended starting point but doesn't sound like it's the best for you so experiment with those values until you get to one that gives you the best experience.

Sounds like you had an issue in the boot process which is why TFTP helped (it skips the boot process) as it's the cleanest firmware install you can do, thanks for posting your experience, it could definitely help others!

No you don't have to change any of that but it would be a good idea to enter the WAN IP of the R2 (found on the System Information page) in the DMZ on the modem, this will ensure you can continue to get an Open NAT/prevent a double NAT.

I'm not sure how well D2 is working on filtering at the moment, especially for PC but try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC) Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works better.

Is your web browser set to clear cache/cookies when you close a tab/browser entirely? Are the credentials auto saved so that it tries to login automatically?

It's not recommended to restore a backup from a previous version as it some cases it could be incompatible.
