Could you try with no background traffic whatsoever and see if it's stable? If so that's great and then just a case of fine tuning Congestion Control most likely

need help EA FC 24 ping improuve with R3
Netduma Fraser replied to Authentik06's topic in Netduma R3 Support
If the ping on the Geo-Filter is low and as normally expected but the in game ping is much higher it could indicate the server is under load, in which case forcing a different server should give you a better ping. It's also possible Steady Ping is causing a higher ping, this can be disabled but you can see how it works in this video: -
Ah so you did that before checking the Geo? Possibly, if it was appearing as a different device and then you made it like the wired device while it was still connected to WiFi that could cause a conflict. If you switch the V Hub to router mode and use the DMZ instead do servers ping more often?

I have sent you a firmware via PM with working VLAN, let us know if you have any issues

Okay I think that's probably something I'll need to pass onto the team to have a look at when they're back from the holidays. Are you able to connect the printer to the router via WiFi without WPS? What is the specific printer model? If you hold down the WPS button on the router for 5-10 seconds does that make a difference?
-
Possibly it could be just introducing a new router into your setup, some ISPs seem to take a little while to get settled when there is a new router. A good test would be to take the MAC address of your previous router and make the R3 use that instead. As well as dialing in your Congestion Control/SmartBOOST settings. If you're using WiFi instead of ethernet experiment with the channels/widths to find what works best for you. I've also provided a firmware via PM that may improve things.

Ah that is very annoying. Could you make yourself accessible and then I should be able to enable remote logging for you.

Sent. Thank you!

When you switched the PS over to WiFi did it appear on the Device Manager as a new device or the same device? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how is that setup? Definitely good to know about UPnP. Glad to hear you're enjoying it overall, no worries at all, Merry Christmas to you too!

Sent to you all, thanks for the kind words!
-
I've sent you a link to redownload it instead, see if that works please

What ping are you seeing on the R3 exactly? Have you setup Congestion Control on the R3?
-
On the printer has you pressed/started WPS as well?

Geo-Filter isn't blocking servers outside radius
Netduma Fraser replied to pdiorio's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Does it give you an error when trying to upgrade? -
In addition to the above, the in game ping will be higher due to the processing delay on the game, this isn't something we can calculate as it's on the game side. 20-30ms higher than what the Geo-Filter shows is fine, anything higher than that would indicate the server is under heavy load and you should force a different server.
-
What is the model of your modem/router the R3 is connected to? Do you know if you need PPPoE or VLAN to get a connection?

No access to R3 via web interface or app

Could you provide a screenshot from this page in your web browser please? chrome://gpu I've sent you another firmware to try just in case it helps -

If you do a speed test on the console do you see anything in Network Activity for it? Are you using the Xbox Insider Program software instead of the normal public one? Sent -
I have sent you both the firmware via PM but if you're having issues after please do make a topic for yourself and we can help you more effectively.
-
Hey Pro, to answer your questions: That is definitely plausible, thank you for highlighting that issue, I will pass that onto the team. If you get server cannot ping that is usually for a reason and so is expected, we're just unable to ping that server. Waiting for host less so. I have sent you a firmware in a PM that has some Geo-Filter improvements, let us know if that helps at all! I've seen this but not sure how to reproduce, after the reboot was the PS detected by a different name or anything like that?

If the SSID changed it sounds like it may have lost power and did a weird half reset. Do you have a browser based Adblocker that could be blocking it?
