The R3 should be in the ISP router DMZ to get an Open NAT yes. You can then use port forwarding on DMZ on the R3 for your console, you don't need both, just one or the other

R3 Stuck on bootlop first time booting

I can see the WAN IP without going into the message, it's also the same as the IP on your post. I didn't hear back about them enabling it, I assume they didn't have the time. A new update will be coming soon though so hopefully it'll be more stable for you but I'll chase them to enable logging on Monday. -

You'll need to be the party leader to force servers effectively -
A haiku in response to yours: LEDs off, wait we must, Hybrid paths soon to adjust. Soon, firmware's new gust. Essentially, LED lights off has been requested but there are more important things we want to get sorted first. HybridVPN will be in the next firmware. Update will be coming soon

Sounds like you've put a device in the DMZ on the R3 which will be why you're getting a port forward error, you can't do both. Disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN as that can help with the invalid issue.

Potentially lag compensation could be negatively affecting you, in which case forcing servers slightly further away may benefit you. I'd suggest trying direct to your modem to see if you get the same, if you don't then it may indicate you need to fine tune QoS a bit more.

Presumably you added them to your allow list? Were you the party leader? -
It won't be too much longer for a new firmware so that should improve things

That looks fine from what I can see, are you getting games within the radius? -
Split the bands, that will then give you two WiFi networks to choose from on devices, one 2.4, the other 5GHz. Try these suggestions: Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _ Any extender should work just fine

Interesting, tough to figure out what might be happening here, I suspect the ping on the Geo is high due to the timeouts, the server itself just may be a bad one, add it to your denied list and any further that crop up

Set Congestion Control to Always and make the download/upload percentages at 70%. Can you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter page please? -

It's blocking the server in the UK as expected, when you're in a game do you then see an icon within your radius? -

All devices should be connected to the R3 via WiFi or ethernet so it can effectively control the network, otherwise devices connected to your ISP router could cause you to lag. The NAT type has nothing to do with the IP, NAT Type 2 is open, it just means you're behind a router, it's only possible to get NAT Type 1 behind a modem but functionally there is no difference, you have done what is needed for an Open NAT. You can find Congestion Control in Ping Optimizer > Advanced. You don't need to open ports. Let us know how you get on. -
Give them static/reserved IPs in LAN Settings and see if they stay online more consistently then please

Are ALL devices connected to the R3? How are you checking NAT, on the console network settings or in game? How do you have Congestion Control set? Disable Steady Ping, that is the likely cause of the higher ping (it does do this by design), is it lower then? -
It would be better in some instances but isn't required for proper functionality
-
Thanks for that, it's a tricky one, the in game ping seems to be showing the last ping response you got from the trace, they match up pretty well. However, you said the gameplay was terrible, was it laggy, did it feel more like 170ms?
-
You said you have 4 but only 3 are experiencing the issue, is there anything in common that the 3 share or anything different about the 1 that works?
