  1. I'm sorry to say that it absolutely is not the same thing as bridge mode, all he did was disable the WiFi, it does not do anything to help the NAT situation which setting to an actual bridge mode would and that's why you're having the same issue. From a little google it appears you may be able to access the Nokia user interface via https://www.webgui.nokiawifi.com/ using the credentials that should be printed on the sticker on the underside of the beacon. If you get in then you should be able to find bridge mode or at least the DMZ option. Click 'Speed Test' at the bottom of the left menu, then click Advanced on the window that appears and you can change it there. Putting the correct speeds here will help devices reach expected speeds. Ideally you need to have the beacon setup to pass all traffic unimpeded to the R3 which will help with the speeds. I have a feeling the technician has no idea what they're on about.
  2. If this happens, first check the IP on the PC itself, then check the Device Manager for the device you think it is, do the IPs match? If they do match then do the same process as before: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client
  3. Can you provide an uncropped screenshot of the Geo-Filter page showing what you see when this happens please?
  4. I'll add it to the list to be potentially added in future - it's primarily a gaming router so some standard features in other routers may not be implemented for the simple reason that it's unlikely many of our customer base would use it.
  5. That would be a great help thanks! If you could just PM me then I can pass it on
  6. Looks like it can't be access but I'm sure I saw that it provides WiFi, is that correct?
  7. You want the bandwidth sharing excess feature so every device gets only what you allocate. That's worked for you with the issue you had previously but what I'm saying is Congestion Control by design eliminates the issue where lots of devices are being used and cause each other to lag, buffer etc so if we get that fine tuned it can resolve your issue and we can potentially look at adding the share excess disabled feature at a later date.
  8. The idea of Steady Ping is that it adds ping to absorb any spikes/jitter so you get one consistent ping and are more in sync with the server
  9. It will depend on the captures and what we find in them, it may be for some games that the patterns are the same in the pre-game lobby as when you're in the game and others it may be different, in the cases where it will be different it will only prioritize when you're actually playing which is ideal really, no need to prioritize the lobby.
  10. Disable Steady Ping on the Geo-Filter page and that'll likely resolve it
  11. Have you set the VPN up on the PC itself or on the router? If you've done it on the PC itself then it makes more sense why it's not working correctly - you should apply it using HybridVPN on the router.
  12. Thanks! No worries, so if you access the Arris interface, can you find an option for DMZ? This could be in WAN Settings or Security potentially, if you find it, copy the WAN IP from the R3 WAN page and then paste that into the DMZ on the Arris. Make sure all devices are connected to the R3 then try the tests again.
  13. It's most likely Steady Ping, if you disabled it does that resolve it?
  14. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. Are ALL devices connected to the router?
  15. No worries at all, glad you were able to resolve it, thanks for the update!
  16. The lag issue you're having should be prevented with Congestion Control - that is literally it's purpose to prevent the exact situation you're experiencing. There isn't an option to not share bandwidth. I don't follow, if you tell the router you have 1Mbps download/upload you wouldn't be able to reserve that much bandwidth to devices but if you tell the router that is the speed you're getting that is the speed that will be used so yes everyone would have a terrible time.
  17. No one has ever asked this question so I don't really have an official answer for this but the above is what I would do
  18. Yes that should work
  19. That is odd, does it work for all other devices apart from that specific one? Is it connected in a different way to the others e.g. through a switch, extender etc
  20. There is a log option in settings where you can untick some options for it to record, I'm not sure if it applies to the logs on the Sys info page or not.
  21. No I mean the option to choose recommended or manual - the best option is for it to add with the console option which is what you're using and what it will default to on next version.
  22. The logs show normal background processes that can appear as issues, as far as I'm aware there is nothing sinister in that log. If you're having a lockup a log at the time would be best.
  23. Glad to hear that worked for you! On the next version that option is gone, well at least I don't have it anymore but yes effectively the way it is added right now will allow you to filter multiple games without having to change games like you would via a PC.
