NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.290
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Jack B's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Look for the blocked server on the map when it happens and then add it to your allow list - you may need to do this a few times. If you then provide us with the IDs we can get them on the global whitelist. Are you using the Discord desktop app or via a web browser? -
That's the main thing really - the rule you made for Traffic Prioritization, is it triggerring when you're playing? Btw, the Congestion Control testing, make sure you have it set to Always when you're trying it.
-
I don't believe it has but I will chase them to do so, as you say, hopefully there is more free time now.

Geo-Filter to make sure you're getting those lower ping servers more often. Here's a new link: https://support.netduma.com/frequently-asked-questions/legacyfaqs/test-your-ping/
-
You will only see one server when playing, that's normal. If you give us the IDs for those Discord servers we can get them added - do resync though overall. That's great to hear, thanks for the feedback - that will probably be the last major feature update for the XR500 unfortunately - it won't be getting DumaOS 4.
-
Okay that's fine then, tightening your Geo settings and fine tuning QoS will be key then. I didn't mean for you to enable it, I just wanted to know if it was as I would have recommended disabling it. The R3 does have better software overall and will be getting more updates but it's not required - if you fine tune those two features it should be better.

New warzone season 1 high ping search and lobby
Netduma Fraser replied to Chasrick's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Glad to hear that, thanks for the update -
I assume the box has no WiFi and doesn't have an interface or anything like that that you know of? Those options I don't think are relevant to you. Restrict the servers more to exclude those higher ping servers. To fine tune Congestion Control I'd suggest testing with downloads while following: https://bit.ly/bufferbloat-test start with a high value e.g 95%, test, decrease 10%, test, decrease 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good, then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. Important to note that Download/Upload on CC don't have to be the same value & you may have a better experience with differing values. This is more of a real world test as you're actually doing traffic you would normally do.

Cant login and setup router

They do test the app, it's not always possible to catch bugs - for example, you're the only one that's reported this on the 1000 that I know of -

It's just one of the ports the game uses, it won't positively or negatively impact you really

What is the model of your ISP modem/router. Are ALL devices connected to the XR - as in do you have devices still connected to your ISP modem/router? Do you have Armor enabled - check the shield icon top right of the interface If your Geo-Filter ping ranges that much then that indicates you need to restrict it more to the lower ping servers which will give you a better experience.

Cant login and setup router
Netduma Fraser replied to Dominik Grabowski's topic in DumaOS Mobile App
They're testing the app and making new versions, it won't be a super quick turn around - the process for the app stores to approve an update can take a few weeks so that's on top of us sorting it. Use the mobile web browser for the moment and you'll get a similar experience to what you would have on the app. -
Is it safe to come back to R3 now? Is it stable?
Netduma Fraser replied to Chaiyoabc's topic in Netduma R3 Support
There are so many variables when it comes to networking, e.g. I know you're using it in Asia, the majority of the people that post here are from the EU/US, I'm not familiar enough with the variables in Asia that may affect it to give you an answer. You're also asking on a support forum if a firmware is okay to use, everyone who posts here experiences an issue at one time or another, some have better experiences on more up to date firmware and some people swear by older firmware. Your experience will differ from everyone else so there is no one size fits all answer. People that are having a great experience will not usually post on a support forum to answer your question so the responses will be heavily skewed most of the time. The best option is to try the firmware yourself, if it's not working great for you then you have your answer. I could give you a generic answer - it's the latest so it has the latest fixes so should be a better experience - then you update and you have a bad experience, then you'll come straight back and be like nope it wasn't good at all. You lose faith in my ability to provide you with suitable answer and no one wins. If you're really concerned it then have a look through the firmware topics at the kind of issues people are experiencing and see whether you want to take the risk. We will always recommend running the latest firmware version (unless there is a major issue) but I'm of the opinion that it's your router, you should decide what works best for you. -
Geo filter/steady ping not working on gaming pc

Try the latest version though the Early Access one may be better - we're still improving on it overall. -
We can help you with things like ping as it's a statistic we can directly influence, hit detection and other subjective things would are very hard to help with as there is no hit detection value if you see what I mean. I can barely see your photos, use this in future: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots-00246869-1843-655f-f220-97299b865f6b What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g. XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the XR? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How is the PS connected, via ethernet or WiFi? Whats the average ping shown on the Geo-Filter/in game? Are you using Armor?
