Which port is best for gaming on netduma r3

Exactly as above -
You're very welcome, hope you had a great Christmas, do let us know how you get on

Could be a few things, the speedtest.net server being used is similar to the above, however you can change this so check it's one of the closest to you. The other thing could be that the cable connecting the R3 to the modem is limited, in which case try swapping out the cable, even if it is the one we provided and check again. Test over ethernet if you can ideally. Otherwise for WiFi try this: Split the WiFi bands, give 2.4/5GHz different names and apply - you'll want to connect to 5GHz specifically for speeds Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _

Netduma R3 high latency compared to XR500 on Blops 6
Netduma Fraser replied to Dayman's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Put the Xbox in the DMZ - are any devices using the internet much while you're playing? How do you have SmartBOOST/Congestion Control setup? Are you changing Geo-Filter settings while you're already on the console/game? -
NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Thanks for trying, I don't think it would work anyway, if disabling QoS & DPI doesn't work then it wouldn't on its own unfortunately. You could try using the block services function in the Settings page for the Adblocker URL/api.netduma.com URL and see if that works. That's the only other thing I can think of currently other than downgrading and see if it works and if so staying on that until we resolve it via the cloud. -
Good to hear! On the router speedtest it uses a provider that doesn't always pick the closest server to you and so can provide unreliable results. Do you get your expected speeds through speedtest.net after setting your speeds manually? If so you can ignore the router speed results, it won't be limiting you at all.

That's the right firmware, reboot the router then attempt the upgrade again -

Yes I think if you disable QoS, then disable DPI, you can re-enable QoS and DPI will stay disabled if you leave it. In practicality I don't know if that will work or not but let us know. Yeah pretty certain it's a cloud issue, will leave a message for them to pick it up when they can. -
GeoFilter Not Working After New BO6 Update

That'd definitely have to be enabled in either case for it to work. Hopefully the logs reveal something, thanks for the report! -

You're able to reproduce this consistently with it working on the app? That's super strange because either they should both work or neither as they'd have the same settings and cloud, super weird. If you could that'd be great thanks. No worries, enjoy Christmas! -

You can ignore that, it's just if you have a pure modem. I've given you Early Access, try the firmware there and see if it is any better please https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/ -
That wouldn't be suitable, I'm waiting to hear the plan for the next version, will post once its ready

If that's the case then I don't think the logs are providing enough information to determine a particular pattern as it appeared to be the Adblocker cloud preceding it on other logs. Go to the System Information page and then in the Rapp panel menu ≡ change the retries to 5, reboot from the interface, close the interface tab and wait 4 minutes before accessing, then see if it works please. Hopefully, changing the option will also help to restart the necessary Rapps/processes to have it functioning correctly. Otherwise, if someone could re-install the firmware via TFTP, complete that then factory reset that would provide the freshest install possible and then change nothing but adding your device to the Geo-Filter and playing it would help eliminate a lot of variables. I do apologize for anyone experiencing this issue, with the time of year I'm pretty much flying solo so I can't get a dev to take a look, I'll continue to do what I can to try and find a workaround in the meantime. -
GeoFilter Not Working After New BO6 Update
Netduma Fraser replied to alecjb12's topic in Call of Duty Support
That makes sense! Where are you based approximately, assuming it's not too close to NY given the ping? Also next time when you do it, if you click the icon on the logs panel and you can download the logs as a file and upload it here, that will make it a lot more readable for me -
In theory yes but I know they have made some changes when they referenced VPNs so if you're getting a much higher ping then it may prevent it happening. Could you provide a screenshot of what you see on the Geo-Filter page when that happens please?

Gotcha, check on the Xbox itself for the IP it is getting, then check on the Device Manager and find a device that has the same IP address or failing that the same MAC address that the Xbox has, then rename it.

Netduma Fraser replied to Dayman's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Thanks for that, it is an LA server so you shouldn't be getting that high a ping. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode -

Quick question then, how are you determining you're getting the server in the EU? Is it just because you're seeing it or is auto ping also pinging it? -
In theory it should yes but it's not ideal, can you not just connect the Xbox directly to the R3?

Netduma Fraser replied to Dayman's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I suspect it's a mislocated server, if you can provide the ID I can double check. In the meantime, deny the server and keep denying any that have a high ping and you should find lower ping servers again within your radius. Also resync the cloud just in case you're running an old cloud update.
