  1. Yes it does work. That's a potential solution as well though be wary of the increased ping you'll receive
  2. Game servers don't respond to traditional pings so we try to be clever in order to get a successful ping but it doesn't always work. It will then try to fall back to the trace method which won't give you the correct ping in most cases but hopefully somewhere near it, however this can also fail. So when both fails it won't be able to provide a result. The high ping in this case is likely due to not being able to ping it correctly
  3. The above may help but essentially have your modem in bridge mode and enter the PPPoE details into the R3
  4. What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R2? E.g R2 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode What firmware version are you on? Are ALL devices connected to the R2? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup SmartBOOST/Traffic Prioritization? Are you connected via ethernet or WiFi? What settings have you tried already prior to making this post?
  5. I totally agree, I've suggested it a few times to the team that for the Geo-Filter it would be far simpler to just have PC, Games Console, Mobile etc and it just applies to the whole device rather than picking specific games on a PC which are prone to becoming out of date. I will pass this topic on to the team, thanks!
  6. Thanks for the capture, I will pass it onto the team, always helpful to have a recent capture. In the meantime use the console work around and it will filter just the same
  7. We pushed a cloud update on Friday that should fix it in theory, give your router a reboot, that will make it download the cloud automatically when it boots up then let us know if it continues please
  8. What kind of devices are you using to test the WiFi? Are they newer devices or older? Could you disable the protection options in troubleshooting as well as BI and DPI then try again please?
  9. What do you actually see when trying to access, can you provide a screenshot please? While connected to the router via a wired Windows PC, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please.
  10. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. What speeds do you get via ethernet? Where are you testing the speeds?
  11. What do you see when trying to access exactly? What device/how are you accessing?
  12. Are you having this specifically with the latest firmware or did you have it with the previous one too?
  13. Unplug the router from power for 10 minutes, plug in, then wait 4 minutes then hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then wait 4 minutes before accessing the interface. If you can also provide the answers to the other questions as well that would be really helpful
  14. Yes you can do that, put the R3 in the main router DMZ instead, this will allow you to get an Open NAT through the R3 while you can still have other devices connected to the main router
  15. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode What firmware version are you on? Is it all devices or specific? Ethernet or WiFi? Any patterns as to when it happens? Does it reconnect itself or do you need to reboot? How long do you wait before rebooting if that is required? Could you provide the logs when it happens please?
  16. In your situation simple would be enough to counter the spikes, you wouldn't need to use expert specifically. It should make your ping the value you set, not add on top, seems to be doing a bit of both which is odd. Could well be just Valorant that happens for, do you notice Steady Ping working in that way still on other games?
  17. Download the previous firmware version from the forum then upload in Settings > Troubleshooting Ahh good to hear, well done for figuring it out. Everything for the most part should apply right away, what settings specifically don't appear to work that way?
  18. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. Presumably you've also experimented with the channels? If so have you specifically used a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested ones? One thing that would make a big difference is adjusting the widths, have you tried that? Also ensure, it's in an elevated position as much as possible, ideally not on a metal surface and that there are no electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible.
  19. @L2W Liam was tech support like me, he didn't have any control over what happens anymore than I do. I appreciate you're agitated and frustrated, I am too, of course I want to be all up to date with no issues, it'd make my job a lot easier. Unfortunately not everything works out that way, you have your opinion on how it is working or should work and I can understand why you would think that way but it really isn't as simple as you've made out at all. For a start, just because DumaOS 3.3 works well on the XR500 doesn't mean it can simply be put on the XR1000 without a problem, they're completely different architecture. It's like trying to put Android on your iPhone, they're both phones, both mobile operating systems and so it should work and probably could work but not without a lot of effort. As I mentioned, we're a partial software partner, it's not even running 100% our software and because of that we don't have total control, as we don't have total control issues/delays etc are not all of our own making. We get all the heat and that's fine, we're the most front facing, directly interacting with customers and the seller is our software, as with everything it is more nuianced than you've made out. For example the security update/the one NG are auto upgrading to features a DumaOS version we finalized quite some time ago.
  20. It could be the power supply is working but faulty and not providing enough voltage to the router to keep it powered on. Let us know how you get on!
  21. On the SmartBOOST page click the 3 dots top right Click Favourites (Primary Profile) - It may not be named Favourites if you've made a different profile and make it primary Click the icon top right of that panel Success
  22. After looking into it personally a bit more I would say it's highly likely to be a cloud update. As far as I can tell NG have auto updated people (we originally completed the DumaOS changes for that a very long time ago) but didn't mention they were doing it and so I think it's trying to use a cloud update it can't use or isn't using the one it should now be using. I've given my findings to the team so it should hopefully be a quick update once they identify the specific cause.
  23. Does it still happen if you try a different web browser?
