Victor-Yout
Hi duma users, my connection recently is just bad. i have issues with hit detection and i'm getting melted so fast. i've made a small video for better understanding of my problem, its not long but it shows what i have to deal with in every lobby ( not exaggerate). i am not a new duma user, so i know how to set up the r1, but its not performing at the moment. i've seen gameplay of a7 and liam (forum members) and their connection is perfect. i always play on a dedi server within 100 km from my location with stable 19 ms ping. my bufferbloat is A+ and a1 ms jitter, i also checked my cables and all that set up and everything is ok. would be nice if you can help me, cause i dont know what and how to set up at the moment. bagsta69
Have you tried playing Hardcore. I have many more issues playing core than HC, What are you pinging to the host? is that the 19MS? A7 and Liam have put a hell of a lot of time into tweaking their connection to perfection and they are shit hot players as well. Just out of interest have you tried placing your home in a location further away from you. I am not a big advocate of doing this but I was playing a few games with LTR7 the other night with him hosting on west coast USA 165 ms ping and I was kicking ass and taking names. It was probably just a one off. Are there any other people using the network whilst you are gaming and if so what are they doing on it? Have you tried a ping plotter test for a few hours? Sorry for all the questions it just helps us to try and help you. Have found on PS4 the server on the South coast of the UK plays pretty well. bagsta69
Have you tried changing cc settings? 70/70 is a good starting point but quite a few people have changed this with trial and error. I have found that if nobody else is on the network just maybe my mobile and 1 pc I use 91/91 and over several games it seems to work well on my connection. If theMrs is on her laptop surfing the inter web I use 81/81. If you do change anything don't go tweaking after just one game as COD is just to unpredictable to get a good idea after 1 or 2 games. Have you tried the FPS games or other versions of COD if so how do they play?
Victor-Yout
Also tried that, had 85/80 for a time but went back to 70/70 Its the same for other cod's
bagsta69
Ok not sure if you have tried switching EVERYTHING off for ten minutes, Modem router consoles pcs etc. then switch them back on one at a time.
bagsta69
one other thing to check is the ping of the other players in the lobby.
PharmDawgg
I would recommend following these gents on twitter. They have a lot knowledge on networking to give and they always welcome questions. @A7even @nfxcr3w
A7Legit
These are my settings if it helps. My speeds are 115D & 2.5Uhttp://twitter.com/A7Legit/status/869392359397629952http://twitter.com/A7Legit/status/869392508534390784 http://twitter.com/A7Legit/status/869392593909465088 I used to use 97% sliders in my previous home which had the same service, now however 97% feels wrong, 88% is once again giving me the same feel. BENORMOUS
It's all line dependant too,see there's absolutely nothing I can do to achieve A+ on dsl reports I've tested for hours but no matter what I do my ping will spike insane,It's out of my control, could be someone's dodgy microwave down the road causing REIN on my line, could be water in a joint some where from my home to the cab,my hit detection is very very hit and miss and for the most part it's miss lol but then next week I could have a week of mark of j like hit detection,it's very strange that's why I say it's out of my control, few of the lads I game with who are also duma users have issues with terrible hit reg,for all I know the whole infrastructure of my telephone exchange could be shocking,I remember an engineer telling me it wasnt the best haha very reassuring.either way I hope you find the sweet spot mate

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 24, 2017 Administrators Share Posted June 24, 2017 I can't really advise anything as it seems like the Netduma is doing it's job in getting you a low ping, so if you're not getting local congestion it should play fine. I'd check out what other people are suggesting
A7Legit
For me hit detection has always been about hyper-traffic more than congestion control, port priority has been most important.

What ports are you using under hyper-traffic? Are you port fowarding instead of upnp?

RL317
Hyper lane never made a difference for me. PSN, UDP 3074 both, UDP 3074 destination, UDP 3074 source... it runs just the same as using no hyper lane setting at all. Combined with different bandwidth sliders it still doesn't do anything. I can use 98% sliders and average under 3ms bloat for a guaranteed constant A+ grade, ping my local server in 7 milliseconds with an average of <0.5ms jitter and CoD plays worse for me now than ever before. I've lost count of how many games I've played with half a frame of latency and seen disgusting visibly and audibly noticeable delays, instamelt deaths but struggle kills, feeling behind the action as if I'm on a two bar and a lagging projector rather than a monitor, and endless "deer in headlights" killcams that don't match up to what I've seen. One game I'll have god mode with 7ms, and for the next 50 or 100 games I'll get slapped by circle drawing three bar packet loss skipping wizards with drunk reaction times, no quickdraw and classes that looked like they came from a random generator. No congestion, negligible PDV and yet my experience is more bipolar than anything I've seen anyone else endure. Playing on 7ms made me snap my IW disc. Went back to BO3 and it's the same story... get on the UK server with 7.8-8.2ms and it's laggy. Everyone I watch online playing on 40-100ms with 2 sensitivity and hexagon icons melt in a way that I've only seen once or twice all year. Fake. I should have stayed on shit tier cable rather than moving to FTTC; maybe I'd still be enjoying FPS gaming. The better me and my setup get, the more I see illogical, impossible occurrences and the more I tilt.

A7Legit
I wish I could test with fiber connections, either to the node/cabinet or legit fiber to the home. Maybe I am cocky but I think I can replicate the same results I have now, maybe even better.I moved homes, I have 2 ISP services in my new home and both are like the old connection. Though both are HFC...
