Macca65
Is anyone excited, hyped up, or just plain indifferent to the release of the next COD instalment? I am finding myself in the couldn't give a rats arse camp. I have watched the YT vids and to be honest nothing about the game has gripped me, now that could just be my fault, perhaps I am jaded/fed up with COD. But I am looking seriously at the Battlefield 1 as my alternative for my gaming leisure time:) I have previously not bought COD on release only to get the game a couple of weeks after release, mainly because I thought I could be missing out!. But, I say but with reservations, I will not fall for it this time Anyone else feeling the love for the game, or is it one wall run, boost jump, or planet too far to be a viable option? Zennon
I am looking forward to IW and BF1, I love gaming, I love cod. I don't understand the winging about a game that we have not seen any MP from yet. Keep positive
A7Legit
I just don't want space ship warfare in multiplayer. If it resembles BO3 though, I'll be ecstatic.
BENORMOUS
The game play we have seen so far didn't get me excited at all with the zero gravity gun fights it's just not cod in my eyes, don't get me wrong I'll buy it as I buy every cod and I will give it a chance, who knows we might be pleasantly surprised, the only thing I have in the back of my mind is how great the hit detection was in ghosts, combine that with a decent game and it will be a good year of cod, remastered cod4 is a blessing, having 2 to play is gonna keep us happy I'm sure

I don't understand the winging about a game that we have not seen any MP from yet. Keep positive I am not whinging about the game. I am voicing my opinion that it has gone far away from the original premis, I.e. Boots on the ground. It is all the space related, boosting Exo suits that I have become tired off. BF 1 looks like COD should be, and opinions are like arse holes we all have one whether you agree with it or not
Zennon
I am not meaning you winging I mean the community as a whole, the dislikes and forum posts I should have made that clearer.

I'm guilty of this and I love BO3 a lot. It might seem misplaced but I'm actually passionate for the COD franchise but they've become disconnected with their earlier consumer base IMO. I couldn't care less for this year's CoD. Love it or hate it, you can't deny that this game looks mediocre at best.
bagsta69
The last 2 incarnations of the COD franchise have left me flat personally. I used to get really excited about the next release and bore people to death chatting about it. Having seen the campaign trailer footage all I could do was groan, I have been playing through the original modern warfare the last few days and the gameplay on that game is way better than the recent releases. (IMO) I have pre ordered IW mainly for the remastered version of COD4, I know I will play the campaign through on IW and probably play a bit of the MP but with the remastered version of COD4 and Battlefield 1 out as well I personally feel Activision have really dropped the ball this year and they know it. I hope I am wrong I really do, nothing would please me more for IW to be the next game changing version of the franchise which would give me hours of joyful entertainment but I am not holding my breath. Macca65
I watched a few of the YT vids as previously stated just to see what all the fuss is about, and it seemed fairly obvious to me that they are trying to hype it up to push pre sales. I might, and I say might, buy it to play the COD4 remastered just for nostalgia's sake They say nothing lasts forever, and it may that I have outgrown the COD and they are marketing the game to the younger generations, even if the average gamer is in their late 20's early 30's. And the people with the most disposable income are in their 50's and upwards
PharmDawgg
Because I haven't played it I can't really make a judgement call either way. Gonna try and keep an open mind and take the good with the bad. COD-4-Life.
Urge
I pretty much agree with everything Zen and A7 said. Still love CoD and try not to read much about IW in post anymore cause in general it's all negative. Bad thing about negativity is it's contagious and i don't want to be brought down. There has been alot of judgement after only seeing a little campaign, and alot before we even saw that, but in reality we're mostly all multiplayer guys, which we haven't seen yet. So really none of us can fairly judge the game. In my opinion there is only one way to judge fairly until we see more, and that's just going by what we know we like now or have in the past. First of all forget the setting - it doesn't matter if it's on earth or the moon at the moment - the other team is still gonna die regardless of environment. Now think about Black Ops3. We haven't seen IW's movement yet but they've said if you like that Ops3 movement you will be just fine in it, so it's probably very similar. So if you like Ops3 movement wise - chances are you will like this one. And more importantly is the developer itself. If you just don't like Infinity Ward games you probably won't like. But as for me personally, they are my favorite developer and have enjoyed em all so it's pretty much a given to assume this will be just as enjoyable regardless of what they give. Kage79
Personaly i cant wait for BF1 you can see the attention and love they put into making the game. COD on the other hand kinda feels stale to me .Fans are growing tired of the futuristic shit yet here comes another one. Infinite Warfare doesnt wow me or Activision for that matter ( why else for COD 4 remaster ) but ill give it an honest try. But when more people are excitied for a game that they already played (most of us at least ) over a new yearly release says alot.Honestly i think Cod needs a complete overhaul , new graphics engine , matchmaking servers , and a new direction in general. Urge
i think Cod needs a complete overhaul , new graphics engine , matchmaking servers , and a new direction in general. Won't help. We got exactly that after Ghost - with the new direction. And everyone complained cause they got exactly what they asked from a different CoD. If they change it again there isn't going to be any difference - people still gonna complain. I really hope everyone enjoy's the new BF, but it's going to be just that a BF game. Maybe some will really enjoy it and move from CoD, I just hope they express their love for BF and don't peep about CoD anymore. People are definitely entitled to their own opinion but if i have to read threads from guys who don't like cod or don't even play it anymore bitching about it for another entire year, i'm gonna find a way to give em a virtual pimp slap em. Macca65
I love the COD games, the last two have been good, I just don't like the boost jumping etc, but that's just me. I really like the challenges, getting the diamond camo's etc. So I think this version will be a continuation of a theme, it's whether you feel invested in it to continue to purchase the games, maybe it's time to exercise consumer restraint:)

I respesctfully disagree all they have done is add gimicks and jump into a different timeline i was talking about a complete reboot. Its been same graphics engine since 2007 i believe, matchmaking is horrible anyone whos played Overwatch knows how good dedis are capable of playing. Activision has no clue . Fans wanted a break from future stuff yet here is another one whos listening over there ?
Zennon
If people are tired off the future stuff, there are loads of other games to play instead like overwatch that you mention with its great dedi's set in an alternative future
Kage79
Not that there was anything wrong with games being set in the future but 4 games set in the future plus another on the way is oversaturation. Just wishing for a game without the gimmicks like how cod was in its earlier games henceforth everyones excitement over Cod 4 remastered. I believe many of us feel the same way but to each his owne. UK_Wildcats_Fans
Each COD has their pros and cons. I personally have enjoyed each of them, COD gaming is about playing a game with friends that we all share interest. If it weren't for my gaming friends, I probably would not be playing COD much. The one year rotation works well for me because we start getting tired of the game in that time frame.
ColonicBoom
I'm really looking forward to both CoD4 remastered and Infinite Warfare. I did want boots-on-the-ground originally but the videos of Infinite Warfare look awesome. And then there's Battlefield 1 so I'm pretty excited for the upcoming FPS's really
fuzzy clam
I could care lee where the game is outer space, the desert, the jungle etc.As long as the game plays smooth without a ton of bullshit,I'm all for it.I hatted BO2 and knew I really wasn't gonna like BO3 but bought it anyway.I just like CoD and like most am always hoping the next title will play smooth and be enjoyable for all.I loved Ghosts because of the way it played for me,great hit detection due to TTK but it always seemed fair on both side, yes the streaks were weak but I enjoyed that I like gun on gun action, not how well people can camp and let the streaks get the kills for them.I wish they would bring back barebones like in MW3 with no streaks, just all guns and nades. I'm hoping it will be the same on Infinite Warfare as fr as the way the game played. And on a side note I know JD is really excited for Infinite Warfare as he loved Ghosts and I'm going to go out and buy a new Xbox one s just so I can experience his excitement while playing Infinite Warfare with him LMAO
