Xr1000 Wifi won't connect in setup
DARKNESS replied to Reykc9510's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It because it not connected to the internet if it shows red it probably the modem not refreshing the ip for the router and I wouldn't personally use the mobile app crappy setup recommend using lan setup it just quicker to do but that up to personal preference To have the IP refreshed just turn off modem and back on that should refresh it and make sure it connected to the router when doing so -
It because IP addresses change there not going to be permanent if you want them to be more consistent then you would to network settings and find reserve ip should be under dhcp you would then apply the IP and save it If you use the R1 I have no clue since I haven't used that one especially being almost 10 year old but I would guess it be same procedure

Did you try deleting the space in the bottom sometimes that causes it not to work

@Netduma FraserAs for betas in the future for the XR1000 are there going to be any before public release for testing?
-
Gotcha I rather it be stable update so take the time to fix core issues I just decided for the time being to have the R2 and XR1000 combo AP
-
How far is it in the testing phase currently? In addition is there ever going to be beta builds for the XR1000 since from looking it doesn't seem to be the case but the XR500 does so that doesn't make much sense for why there isn't especially since they run different hardware which means different coding

I have a ? On traffic prioritization
DARKNESS replied to Arthurkulp's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It will just prioritize the traffic for that one game that you selected there ain't much purpose if you only have one selected but if that the only game you play it whatever I did see u post the question in another forum just wanted to clarify -
I have a ? On traffic prioritization
DARKNESS replied to Arthurkulp's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Traffic prioritization will make you in short have the priority of all packets for whatever you have selected while network is in use so to answer your question if you need more than one device no you do not but in order to get low latency you must use congestion control as that is the core feature for low ping. Traffic prioritization just makes sure that the device you selected gets the necessary bandwidth so you don't experience latency spikes while other users in your household use the internet -
@liveandletdie34Hmm did you ever try unplugging and plugging it back in? Can't speak much for windows I haven't used it in a while but sometimes systems just have bugs especially Microsoft you always hear some security issue or windows crashing every couple of updates that the reason some people use different OS like Linux there even alternatives for a windows version which runs way better but everything comes with pros and cons Also you still hadn't answered whether you had internet access for other devices
-
You say you have connection but that means nothing as you literally just said you have flicker on the connection so is it happening constantly or just randomly? Does it stop when your not connected to the R2? I would just hard reset the router at that point to fix any possible issues
-
Have you even tried different Ethernet cables? Could possibly be motherboard issue if you have internet access for other devices then the problem clearly isn't on the routers end but pc and that would be something you would need to find out and good luck on that end😂

Share Your Netduma Settings For MW/CW/WZ
DARKNESS replied to Infoseye's topic in Call of Duty Support
No crap bud you can't have upnp and port forwarding enabled and expect no security risk it like asking for ports to be forwarded when they're already being forwarded automatically by upnp 😱 Also if your on pc you might as well be running a vpn from all the ddos losers hang in there I do it on console too I just laugh my ass off them thinking they can shut me down maybe if your a real hacker that knows what they're doing but most are just losers with no intellect that ddos to fill they're small egos because they can't play -
5G is propaganda currently maybe in 3-5 years it be ready and home based 5G should be starting next year there already testing which started last month so who knows when will see actual network improvements

Do you even have congestion control setup correctly if it not I am not surprised about that buffer bloat it horrendous that why your shots aren't synced. Also when doing benchmarks apply always on cc to see results of benchmarks

There nothing to research it common sense that a higher field of view gives you a better view and so it easier to hit people that has nothing to do with hit detection that all server based. It like wondering why people back in the day when fortnite had stretched screen be a thing and people were using it because it gave them a game advantage by seeing more of they're field of view and the game wasn't intended to be played like that and so they banned stretched mode

NEW R2 FIRMWARE: 3.3.502 - SmartQoS Version 4 ???
DARKNESS replied to Syns's topic in Call of Duty Support
Lmao that a bot lobbie no cap but I don't think he's using the vpn to get that it the fact activision is known for being scummy and giving players who pay for content bot lobbies and so the more you pay the easier the lobbies get as a scheme they'll deny it but no ones that dumb same way there organization lies about there non harassment environment -

Geo Filter not working on XR1000
DARKNESS replied to Jermsz's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@Netduma Fraser No what I am saying is when I manually disable smart qos the cc settings should be disabled which they do when the R2 is a standalone device but when connected XR1000 AP mode they just don't disable it still passes the cc settings that were originally applied on the R2 -
Geo Filter not working on XR1000
DARKNESS replied to Jermsz's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Now that you say that I did a little bit of a test with the XR1000 in ap mode and it seems when you disable smart qos on the R2 it doesn't disable it still keeps the cc settings applied and the only counter course is to change the cc settings though that just in ap mode if the R2 is by itself it works without having to manually change the cc settings when you disable smart qos For Future AP mode users using the XR1000 disable wifi on the R2 unless your using it as an access point to improve range in house hold good to you but you will need a long cable/wall outlet extension😂 My reasoning is simple the two networks don't actually share speeds it just caps them so you might as well use the fastest router that capable of the throughput -
On BO3 now they have PS3 issue that started with gamer tags changing colors etc sad as hell plus even more broken cheats I went back and first match was like that I guess it is becoming wide spread now footage I talked about with the cheats on bo4 dudes even flexing with the gamer tags 1889cd04dda60-master_playlist.mp4

Hm I've had in the past had some issues with the wifi speeds for the R2 and it was based on the MHz/channel widths it can be possible that it something causing interference since as you said you are able to get the speeds when connected through lan so it must be something...make sure the head-ends for the antenna are well tightened Do you have hybrid vpn enabled? if so disable it..it does lock speeds to 20mbs Have you hard reset? Also if your able to find the issue the speeds for wifi will be limited to 250mbs that just hardware limitation as is the hybrid vpn

You know a modem doesn't give wifi bud 😂 That would be a router/modem combo are you by chance running bridged mode? Because if you aren't and it coming from router/modem combo I believe that might be your issue to fix that you would have to enable the bridge settings in the router/modem combo gateway
