@BaturiI wouldn't count too much upon the connection benchmark they're not always accurate

Ping google and see what going on from there you should be able to see your modem gateway and if packet loss is coming from that area it most likely ISP issue that your going to have to tackle....I would preferably connect straight to modem with a laptop and do it like that since ISP will ask for proof I am also primarily referring to visits not useless customer service people that get you nowhere rebooting your modem like if that fixing a thing 😂

No I was referring to the gateway since depending on the circumstances packet loss can also show up in hop 1 if that was the case through the router gateway....I know this since I in the past had to deal with them and it was painful to be honest not something I like to do when half of them don't even know any networking and might have to escalate the situation to the fcc if it goes that far...

@Netduma FraserHave you run a test just from your modem? This might be ISP related issue

If it the new ones I guess temporarily but go check out any older cods like black ops/MW and it filled with cheaters/modded accounts with color changing gamer tags and that just on console couldn't imagine how toxic it is on pc 😂 To clarify not everyone is cheating but there are plenty of cheaters since it seems it becoming easier than ever for them to get the cheats plus they're advertisements on emblems people selling mods/cheats

@rob7venIf you want to add ports manually for security purposes you would just look up the ports for the game you want and platform on google though that nothing related to DPI which is what detects traffic and prioritizes it etc...upnp is your best friend as long as your not on pc do to more prominent malware which isn't viable on consoles. Also on the XR1000 it best to add the device under traffic prioritization since sometimes it just doesn't detect it by dumaos classified from my experience using the router

Add the device under traffic prioritization and see if it detected if your on console set it up as games console... in addition it only going to be detected when your in a match

@Bluegixer1I would reboot the modem after you set it up and it connected to the XR somes time modems don't refresh IP etc and so the router won't have internet access

I believe it because you have the interval set to 1 second your not going to get accurate data like that I forget the reason why that is though it might just be router hardware etc so just set it 2.5 and you should be able to see more accurately what happening Also that just the gateway your not going to get much from that if your testing qos settings

Answer no you could in theory block some adds using a dns that paid but it not going to block all ads....though it does block spam ads in sites but from personal experience i don't like dns since for me they're useless and can affect sites not loading but they do work for blocking ads in games so there are some pros also I am referring to mobile game ad spams that are extremely tedious if your a mobile gamer not that I am but I have tested it before in the past.

@immudaIt not an official patch by netduma so there are no major changes and the previous firmware there have been several bugs notified upon so I would guess by the next firmware patch they should all be fixed though I couldn't guarantee anything just hearsay as of currently

Just from comment I know it a waste of time but for those in the future you can't be host since servers are dedicated which means there not hosted like in the old days of bo1 and bo2 days and are server based

The range for the R2 is limited to be honest and max speeds on Wi-Fi are about 200ish I’d recommend putting your asus router in AP mode and turning off the Wi-Fi on the R2 so you can have better wireless experience. An exemption would be if your having routers far apart then you could leave the wifi on the R2 on and it basically acts as an access points etc i would preferably play lan but if not an option that my best recommendation

I smell ddos user 😂 it doesn’t generally matter the addresses change your not going to be connecting to one specific IP constantly it something called servers that why they change on the same data center

@Netduma AlexHello just an update on hi rez games do you require extra data or is that something that being worked upon? Also I don't know if this was intentional but when you select battlefield/battlefront it ads battlebit remasters together even though it another application

They’re no difference it just a security update for the router it not an official netduma update it netgears do to security exploits etc
