load/Upload speedsKeep getting very low Down
DARKNESS replied to TheMW2Ghost's topic in Community Discussion
@TheMW2GhostDid you try finding the optimal channel for your connection? -
You can’t go below 50% I am not going to question the genius who made the decision to change that but the only way you can change it currently is by changing your speeds till they revert the change they made to the cc.

@Netduma FraserI am not sure if you guys are already aware of this but when closing on tabs and going back to Geofilter the server does not appear on the map to clarify you can see that your connected to the server as it able to ping it just not visible within the map. To add this also occurs on the app you need have the app open to see it on the map live if not it won't appear. 0210.mov

@madubtNo there still trying to fix it

NetDuma should really switch away from DHL in the states....
DARKNESS replied to TG3NOC1D3's topic in Community Discussion
Dude that's every carrier you just have to hope you don't get a clown doing the delivery. -
@Netduma FraserAnother thing I'd like to see is the ability to TFTP the router if it is bricked as if it is it just a pile of junk that gets sent to the trash as it would be unusable unlike netgear+others routers. It doesn't make much sense why the newer models don't contain TFTP capabilities in case it becomes bricked correct me if I am wrong but how is it that you can flash a netgear router but not an R series router?

It been fixed if your running the latest version .41

@FetuchineeIt depends it better if you post a screenshot of your ping plotter results to help you further. As sometimes there are certain hops that will appear as packet loss but that just do to your ISP blocking ICMP packets. I know it may seem frustrating but it better to learn now than have to deal with nonsense further down the line. I am not a network engineer though I do understand the basics of networking just to clarify. Knowledge is power and others here will help you as much as they can.
-
@FetuchineeIn short it because only one sole device is connected to the network so it never going to get enough throughput to get throttled however let's say now you have it connected to the router it now assigning IP's and there's going to be usage all around the place from different devices and if the modem can't handle the quick changes in packets then it going to cause issues with the network if that makes sense. Use Pingplotter as recommended to see what going on bud you can also check your modem logs and check if there all locked and or leveled as they should be if not then your ISP guy didn't do a good job as they usually don't...another thing if it your ISP's line then you can use the report from Pingplotter as proof against your ISP that you have problem.
-
@FetuchineeIf your trying to diagnose network issues I would advise you to use pingplotter as it easier to understand what happening in depth in the network to note if you are using TM3402 that is most likely your issue. It doesn't matter if it from your provider you need a modem that does not contain a faulty chip as at any time it can cause spikes it may seem fine for a bit and then the next minute it does not etc. Link - https://www.pingplotter.com/

@cljackhammerMy suggestion would be for the time being to setup your CC manually and as for the PS5 set it in DMZ as this does work.
-
@Netduma FraserAnother thing a game you guys can try to test Geofilter 2.0 would be Apex Legends as it does fail be within the set radius with geo-latency enabled would be great if you guys can get it to work.
-
@Netduma FraserCan we get the functionally back were you could name the device through network activity? It just easier to identify certain devices rather than checking through an IP.
-
@DonNortoActually I noticed you don't have it connected to the correct port on the R3 you need to have it connected to the blue port which is the wan
-
Did you try disabling Geo-Latency?
-
@DonNorto To update Go to Settings >Troubleshooting>Upload Firmware https://forum.netduma.com/topic/53938-new-r3-firmware-4041 I would also recommend factory resetting by either doing the following options after you updated the R3. Option 1: Locate the Reset button on the back of your router. With the router powered on, use the pointed end of a paperclip or similar object to press and hold the Reset button for 30 seconds. Wait for the router to fully reset and power back on. Option 2: Go to Settings>Troubleshooting>Factory Reset

@KillhippieWell your out of luck my friend till it gets patched blame Samsung.Your not the only one complaining there other forums about similar issues like color accuracy and there saying that it a new technology whatever that means 😂 Though I would probably expect it to be updated by the end of February as it is a new device just released on January the 31st.

You don't need to prioritize anything for the most part as the DPI/Smart Boost does it autonomously but I recommend just prioritizing your gaming devices as there the most crucial and there can be certain applications not detected/supported and it a way to force bypass any lagging issues during gaming.

Netduma R3 Geo filter 2.0 issue
DARKNESS replied to Cynical's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
The suggestions below should help if you are continuing to connect to servers outside of your radius. * Disable GeoLatency * Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0) * Enable Strict Mode * Disable Fast Search Then restart the game if that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and check again. -
@DonNortoDid you try updating the R3?
-
Most of this is already a thing except the save function for different regions if you were an R2 user and geo works with the VPN you just need to re sync for it be locked.
-
Go to settings>WiFi>Advanced>Disable Enable WiFi>Save

@Zac R3 - Hard to say but I would guess that it can handle around 50 or so devices you can test it and if it overheats then adding a cooling fan should solve the problem. Technically you can use two routers though you'll need to have a splitter and a MoCA and you can say it a cable monster from there on though I've seen people manage it so just depends on the user 😂
